THANKFUL THANKSGIVING THURSDAY

As today is Thanksgiving, you probably expected us to do a Thankful Thursday post. And you were right.

First: If you haven’t noticed, Mauricio wrote a Thanksgiving Poem, which we added to the side bar a few days ago. He did this for Cat Scouts…of course!

Second: We are thankful that our pawrents adopted us. We are thankful for our heated kitchen floor, sun puddles, nip and all our blog friends, who make this endeavor totally worthwhile.

Third: We are thankful to Me, You and Zu for this pawsome award. We don’t know how versatile we are as we mostly blog about ourselves, but we are grateful for the award and the support.

 versatile-blogger-award-from-radmaverix-11-3-13

As with most awards, this one has some rules. We are required to tell you seven things about ourselves. Whenever we get a requirement like this, we always do eight so that each of us get to answer.

Lily Olivia: I used to be a can-can dancer prior to being hit by a car when I was about four years old.

Mauricio: I was a mime in one of my past lives, which is why I can’t shut up now.

Misty May: My name sake won’t let me play volleyball on the beach with her ’cause I consider the sand to be one giant litter box.

Giulietta: I used to have a perm, but I didn’t like looking like a miniature poodle.

Fiona: When everyone else is sleeping, I get on-line and read dog blogs.

Astrid: My name means “beautiful as a goddess” in Old Norse.

Lisbeth: I want to get my ears pierced, but Mom thinks I am too young.

Calista Jo: My secret wish is to play the part of Hello Kitty on Broadway.

We are supposed to pass this on to 15 other blogs. These are our nominees. Some of you have probably already received this award, but as this one looks different, we hope you will accept it as well. And we only have 12…sorry!

** Here Comes Noodle  **  Cats & Co  **  onespoiledcat  **  The Island Cats  **  Spitty Speaks ** A Tonk’s Tail  ** Friends Furever  **  Tomcat Commentary by Tim  ** Prancer Pie  **  Fur Everywhere  **  Jacquelines’s Cat House  ** Colehaus Cats **

And finally, we are thankful to Playful Kitty for this second award.

one-lovely-blog1 Though this award has no requirements attached, we do want to pass it on to a few of our friends. They are:

** Nylablue and Sherriellen’s Purrfect Pad ** Hannah and Lucy  ** Animal Shelter Volunteer Life ** The Island Cats ** Beaded Tail ** A Tonk’s Tail ** Bailey Boat Cat ** Tomcat Commentary by Tim ** Sushi’s Diary ** (Cat)achresis ** Fur Everywhere **  Furries of Whisppy ** Colehaus Cats **

Whether you are celebrating Thanksgiving, Hanukkah, both or neither, we hope you have a terrific day.

Purrs and hugs, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo

MAN-CAT MONDAY WITH MAURICIO

DSC00104So, the humans are still in Paris, and we are wondering how long it can take to see one city? Anyway I have been spending lots of time snoozing in sun-puddles on the heated kitchen floor as you can see from this photo.

But when I haven’t been doing that, I’ve been spending as much time as possible  with all my friends at Cat Scouts. This does, of course, include my girl friend Allie, which is an extra incentive to hang out with my troop, Worldwide Wildcats, as much as possible. Well, that turned out to be a pretty good idea on my part, as I was just named Cat Scout of the Week!

I think the pawrents are surprised that I am taking this new endeavor so seriously. But, I figure, it is never too late to improve yourself, especially as I have always been somewhat of a slacker.

I hope that some of my friends, who follow my sisters and I here on the blog, will think about joining me in Cat Scouts. We have oodles of merit badges for you to earn. Our Cardwood Derby is coming up and we have a Campfire where we can meet up with our pals. Both boy and girl cats are Welcome to join Cat Scouts. I have sent invitations to many of you, but I suppose they could have gotten lost in your mailboxes.

If you want to join or just get additional information, you can do so at http://catscouts.mousebreath.com

Now, if I could just get Mom to finish my Cat Scouts page for The Cat on My Head, I really would be a happy camper.

Purrs and hugs, Mauricio

MOUSES AND MORE

First of all, we must apologize if you haven’t heard from us in a while. If you don’t already know, our humans have abandoned us yet again to spend 10 days in Paris. And Mauricio is hogging the desktop computer and spending all of his time at Cat Scouts. So we haven’t had much of an opportunity to visit or leave comments. Hope you’ll forgive us.

Nerissa (Nissy) from Nerissa’s Life recently celebrated his second blogoversary and in honor of that created a new award: The MOUSES! Award. Nissy coined this word and uses it with regularity on his blog. In fact it has now been used so much that blogger no longer tags it as a misspelled word and neither does WordPress. We have typed it twice here with no indication that it is not purrfectly acceptable. Well mouses, that is great!

We are so excited that we were one of the first recipients of this award, having received it directly from Nissy. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Mouses, we are honored to accept this mousetacular award!

So here are the rules:

1. Thank the blogger who gave you the MOUSES! Award. (Nerissa didn’t say to, but we hope recipients also link back to that blogger’s blog.) √

2. Post the award somewhere on your blog. √

3. When acceptin’ the award, you need to use the word MOUSES! in a sentence.  For this requirement, you may also choose to use one of the many variations of MOUSES! if you so desire.  You know…  like…  mousin’, moused-up, etc…  √

4. Pass the MOUSES! Award on to two or more bloggers.  You can pass it along to as many as you like but please try for at least two so that the award is spread around the blogosphere and doesn’t fizzle out or anything.  And you’ll wanna pass the award on to bloggers whose work you read regularly and would therefore, sure as mouses recommend.  See what Nissy did there?  Yup, you spotted it.  He used a derivation of MOUSES! in a sentence.  He says, “Lead by example.”

So, without further ado, we are passing this award to:

Mauricio’s girlfriend Allie, Ellie, Raz and Cubby, The Florida Furkids, from Friends Furever
Wally, Ernie and Zoey from The Island Cats
Sisfur Nylablue Nylablue and Sherri-Ellen’s Purrfect Pad
Brofur Bailey from Bailey Boat Cat

We know that none of you received this award from Nissy, but if you have received it since, please forgive our duplication. We always feel that if an award is received more than once, it means that blog is extra special!

dragonsloyaltyaward1•  We really didn’t mean that last sentence to refer to our blog, but recently, we did receive an award for the second time. It is the Dragon’s Loyalty Award, which we received previously from Lisbeth’s friend, Texas from the blog, Texas, A Cat in New York Austin. Most recently we received it from Franny’s Feline Film Forum as well. We were unfamiliar with this blog so that made it extra special to receive this award from them. As you also may be unfamiliar with this blog, we hope you will stop by and check it out.  To see our original post about this award and those we passed it to, please click here.

•  Mauricio would like to thank each of you who commented about his relationship with the sweet Allie. He also hopes you visited her at Friends Furever to see her post. If not, you can click the link provided in the list of recipients for the MOUSES! Award. And he would like to give a shout-out to his friend and Allie’s brofur, Raz, for being named Cat Scout of the month!

•  Finally, we have been reading a blog for a while that we would like to suggest to any of our friends who are unfamiliar with it. The blog is called “It’s Noodle.” Noodle gives out awards in many of her blogs, such as the STICKY PAWS, HAIR BALLS, FUZZY HUGS and KITTY KISSES. These often go to journalists and politicians or other well-known people. They can be quite amusing as well as right on target. Anyway, we hope you will check out this fun and informative blog.

Purrs and hugs, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo

P.S. (Especially for Nissy) Mom sent us an e-mail saying that there was a field mouse running around the restaurant where they ate dinner. MOUSES!

THANKFUL THURSDAY: AN EMBARRASSMENT OF RICHES

Recently, we were so surprised to have been the recipients of two awards, especially as Mom has been so busy helping Mauricio with Cat Scouts. In the last four days, she has helped him get one badge each day, but she has promised the rest of us not to report on that here. The remainder of us are getting very little blog time. We know that girl kitties can join Cat Scouts, but we don’t want to spend that much time with Mauricio. So we are glad to see something different to talk about today. Bring On The Nip Award

The first award is from Beverly and Sophie from Moggiepurrs. It is the BRING ON THE NIP AWARD. All of us kits are huge fans of nip and so eager to accept this award; though, slightly disappointed when it didn’t come with any real nip!

What is required to accept this award?

1. Thank the blogger who gave you this award and link back to their blog.  Thank you Beverly and Sophie over at Moggiepurrs.

2. Tell everyone something you want to celebrate: We’d like to celebrate that all of us are healthy and happy. Though we complain lots, our pawrents take exceptionally good care of us. We have a catio, lots of toys, a couple of cat tree/condos and nip growing on the upper deck. We are lucky kitties indeed.

3. Share the award with 1-12 blogs. This is always the hard part as it seems whenever it is time to do this, most of our favorite blogs have already received the award. If you already have this award, just look at this as further validation that your blog friends think you are exceptional. So, here goes.

Jacqueline’s Cat HouseRumblebum ♥ CATachresis ♥ Nylablue and Sherri-Ellen’s Purrfect Pad ♥ Bailey Boat Cat ♥ My Three Moggies ♥ Stunning Keisha ♥ Hannah and Lucy ♥ HH & the Boys ♥

We think that’s plenty as we must leave blogs available for recipients to nominate.

dragonsloyaltyaward1

THE DRAGON’S LOYALTY AWARD. This award is the combination of two awards: the “Very Inspiring Bogger” and the “Versatile Blogger” awards. As we have neither of those and we don’t remember seeing this award before, we are delighted to receive it. We are sending a huge thanks to Texas, A Cat in New York (Austin) for nominating us!

So, of course, we have some rules to follow.

1. Display the Award Certificate on your website.

2. Announce your win with a post and link to whoever presented your award.

3. Present 15 or so awards to deserving bloggers: As always, if you have it already or don’t accept awards,  I am sorry for the inconvenience. Here are nine blogs we are nominating.

♥ Brian’s Home ♥ Jacqueline’s Cat House ♥ Our Life by Eric and Flynn ♥ Tomcat Commentary by Tim ♥ Spitty SpeaksThe Furries of Whisppy ♥ Sometime’s Cat’s Herd You ♥ moggiespurrs ♥ Animal Shelter Volunteer Life ♥

4. Drop them a comment to tip them off after you’ve linked them in the post: We’ll do that as soon as the post is online.

5. Post seven interesting things about yourself : Since we are a family of eight, we are going to list one each; though, we girls think there’s probably nothing you don’t know about Mauricio.

1) Lily Olivia – Misty May, angel Madison and I devised an escape route from the house a few years ago when the humans were on vacation. (Mom keeps planning on posting about this. I hope she does sometime ’cause it is quite a story.)

2) Mauricio – I am the kitty who hurls the most because I eat too fast and steal the food from the slow eaters. It has never hampered my growth. I am not fat, but I am a substantial cat.

3) Misty May – I had another brother besides Mauricio. The humans thought he was too shy and adopted Mauricio instead as he was more out-going. (There are many days when they wish he was a little less so.)

4) Giulietta – I got too close to a burning candle; even though, my humans were trying to get me away from it. Some of my floof went up in flames. I wasn’t hurt, but we no longer have real candles in the house.

5) Fiona – I have removed almost all the pile from the rug under our upstairs dry food bowl because every time I pass it, I must try to bury the food.

6) Astrid – I was so tiny when rescued that my first foster mommy carried me around inside her shirt to keep me warm.

7) Lisbeth – Mom thought I had escaped today. After she searched the house and couldn’t find me anywhere, she went all over the neighborhood calling my name. MOL…I was in the house the whole time, and I am not revealing my hiding spot to any cat or human.

8) Calista Jo – I have claimed the dough bowl as my own; even though, Astrid peed in it trying to keep me out. (Don’t worry, no food ever goes in that bowl, and Dad scrubbed it with bleach.)

So there you have it. Now we have to run off in order to let all our recipients know they’ve been nominated.

Purrs and hugs, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo

THANKFUL THURSDAY WITH MAURICIO

Man-Cat Mauricio

Man-Cat Mauricio

My sisfurs are starting to get their furs all in a twist ’cause I seem to be getting lots of attention lately. I have tried to explain to them that being a handsome man-cat in uniform makes me much more interesting and desirable than any of them. They have, however, put their paws over their ears and are not listening.

Nylablue'z Feline check-up

Sisfur Nylablue

My lovely Canadian sisfur, Nylablue, has recognized and rewarded me for my manliness with The Opposites Attract Award. And I am not even jealous that she gave it to lots of other man-cats, as well as other four-leggers. It just shows that she has excellent taste.

This award was designed by Nerissa in celebration of his 200th post.  I have enlarged the original by 30 percent so you can see how beautiful it is.

In accepting this award, you need to follow only three rules.

1)  Thank the blogger who gave you the Opposites Attract Award and link back to their blog:  Thank you dearest, sweet sisfur, Nylablue.

2) Post the award on your blog.

3) Pass the award along to at least one other blogger.  More than one would be better but if you can only come up with one, that’s okay too. The Opposites Attract Award is all about opposites, so boys have to give the award to girls and girls have to give it to boys. If you pass the award on to a multi-cat/animal household, you must name the recipient. And, of course, you can pass it on to other four-leggers, such as dogs, bunnies, guinea pigs and ferrets.

Now Nissy sent this award to a whole passel of girls, some of which I am quite fond of myself. But I do have a few lovely lady-cats that I quite fancy and would like to date (recognize). They are:

Halle, Calle and Sukki from Jacqueline’s Cat House

Allie from A Tonk’s Tail

Ellie from Friends Furever

Pia Bean, Miss Newton, Olivia, Tessa and Ruby from Colehaus Cats

If any of you ladies have already been nominated, it just proves how special you are, and I hope you’ll accept my nomination as well. I could nominate so many more ladies ’cause I love y’all, but I need to let some of the other man-cats have the opportunity to do some nominating.

So ladies, it is now your turn. Don’t forget the rules. You need to nominate man-cats.

Purrs, hugs and smoochies, Mauricio

THIS, THAT AND THE OTHER THING

Our dear friend and honorary sisfur, Nylablue, has selected the rescue to which she would like us to make a $40 donation from our commentathon. She and her mum, Sherri-Ellen, have selected Trinket’s Memorial Rabbit Sanctuary in Ceres, California. I have contacted the sanctuary via e-mail with a request for information on the best way to make the donation. As yet, I have not had a reply. (They have a Facebook Page if you would like to check them out.)

In other news, a couple of weeks ago we were fortunate to receive The Wonderful Team Member Leadership Award from the kitties at Fur Everywhere. At the time we were busy with pirate costumes and preparing for Misty May’s and Mauricio’s Birthday party. We said we would nominate others to pass this on to in a future post. I’m supposed to nominate 14 others, but with a little investigation, I found that most of the blogs I follow had already received it. I don’t have 14 other blogs to nominate, but I do have the following. If any of you have already received this or don’t do awards, I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you. These are my nominees:

Animal Shelter Volunteer Life Beaded Tail Critters in the Cottage ♥ HH and The Boys ♥ Hutch a Good Life ♥ Our Life with Eric and FlynnPiranha Banana ♥ Manx Mnews ♥ Margs Animals ♥ Speedy the Cheeky Bunny ♥ The (mis)Adventures of Sage

If you do decide to accept and announce this award on your blog, please link back to me and try to nominate 14 others.

Also during the birthday and pirate time, Mauricio, Misty May and Lisbeth were welcomed as members of the New Tuxedo Gang Hideout. As we reported on the birthday post, Mauricio also has joined Cat Scouts. He will report more about that next Monday. And Lily Olivia, Astrid and Calista Jo belong to The Ladies of Autumn. So all the kitties, except Giulietta and Fiona, have joined other kitties in group activities. If anyone knows of a club or group that all grey kitties can join, please let me know. Once it is too cold to spend their days on the catio, I’d like to keep the kits busy when they aren’t napping or working on their blog posts or comments.

THANKFUL THURSDAY: AWARDS

I had a post planned for Wordless Wednesday, but the servers where my blog is stored were under “Brute Force Attack” by someone trying to hack into the WordPress accounts so I was unable to access my account. Today, in addition to being thankful for awards we recently received, I am thankful to be back on-line.

A few days ago, we received two awards from our beautiful sisfur, Nylablue, and her mum, SherriEllen, from Nylablue and SherriEllen’s Purrfect Pad. The first award was The WordPress Family Award. We already have this one, but are pleased to accept it again. The reason is that I have recently discovered a couple of WordPress powered blogs to which I would like to pass it.  They are: Bad Cat Chris and Meows and Purrs.

The second award is so exciting, and I am really anxious to pass this one on.

loyal-reader-award

Several of you have been so supportive of the kitties and our blog by reading and commenting regularly. I am passing this on to all those who have commented 50 or more times since I started posting in July 2012. That means I would also be sending it back to Nylablue. Here are the recipients:

Cat Chat with Caren and Cody  Furries of  Whisppy  Spitty Speaks ♥ CATachresis  Brian’s Home  Tomcat Commentary by Tim  Stunning Keisha  onespoiledcat  Prancer Pie

Even if I am not passing this award on to everyone who has ever read or commented on this blog, I am absolutely grateful for each of you.

We are also supposed to ask a rhetorical question: Do you think I like cats?

I hope each of you will pass this award to others. The only requirement I know of is the rhetorical question.

P.S. Don’t forget about the following call for submissions:

The creator of the book A Letter To My Dog™ is working on the natural follow up: A Letter To My Cat.  The upcoming tome will feature a compilation of cat portraits accompanied by personal letters from devoted cat owners.

To create a volume of pet owners’ stories, the team behind the book is putting a call out to cat owners for story and photo submissions.

You can potentially be featured in the book by submitting a letter to your cat along with a photo!

The book team requires the following for submission:

•    Your letter: Please start it “Dear XXX,” and remember to sign it (Love, Mom / Dad…etc.). The length should be under 500 words.

•    Photos: We need you to submit a few photos of your cat alone, no people. Ideally, these would be your own photos, but if they are professional, please include photographer information so we can contact them for the rights if necessary.

•    Contact Info: Please include your full name, mailing address, phone number, email address and any website/blog/social media info.

Remember to include any stories that highlight your cat’s unique personality and expresses how much he/she means to you!

SUBMIT YOUR LETTERS AND PHOTOS TO:

http://alettertomycat.com

Deadline for submissions is 8/20/13.

OUR FIRST BLOGOVERSARY

So, we finally made it! Our very first blogoversary. Our first post was one year ago today! This is our 170th. We are particularly excited because our very dear friend, Sammy, and his mom, Pam, from onespoiledcat sent us the most beautiful anniversary card. Isn’t it fabulous! We love how Sammy and Misty May are wearing party hats.

Image 6

We are so proud of our short-attention-span mom for what she has accomplished in the past year that we wanted to give her an award. It is a little further down the page ’cause we don’t want it to compete with Sammy’s card.

As our mom is very generous, she asked us if she could pass this on to some of her cat blogging friends. How could we refuse? It is our gift to her, and she is free to gift it to others as long as she keeps one for herself. She also asked if she could make the very minimal rules for passing this on. Of course, we said, “yes,” again.

She is passing this on to blogs featuring five or more kitties. She figures that anyone taking care of at least that many feline fur people as well as writing a blog must be a true multi-tasker and so needs this award. She knows that some of those folks even have “real” jobs, husbands, children, dogs and other pets as well as other blogs. And some of them even post everyday!

blogoversary.awardThis is the award we designed and presented to her for our blogoversary. Do you like how it has our mug shots?

Her only requirements for her recipients (if they accept the award) are:  Post it on their site, thank us kitties and link back to our site.

Without further ado, here are her recipients:

Jacqueline’s Cat House  Katnip Lounge    The Chronicles of Zee and Zoey    Colehaus Cats    Brian’s Home    Random Felines Furries of Whisppy ♥ Purrchance to Dream    fourwhitepaws  ♥  Critters in the Cottage   Cats of Wildcat Woods  Margs Animals  Tomcat Commentary by Timmy  Nerissa’s Life  Da Tabbies O Trout Towne  The REAL Maple Syrup Mob  on a more personal note  Cat’s Cats: The Fab Five  Lilacs & Cats  Tails from the Foster Kittens  ManxMnews  The Creative Cat Sometimes Cats Herd You ♥ Jan’s Funny Farm ♥ Cory Cat Blog ♥ HotMBC ♥

Mom wants to meet, follow and share in the joys as well as the trials and tribulations of as many of the brave multi-cat caregivers and their furry families as she can. And she’d love to pass this award on to other current (active and posting with at least one post in July) blogs having five or more kitties that she has not listed. (She realizes that she, by no means, has visited every kitty blog in this past year and will undoubtedly miss some with a house full of felines.)

So if you know of such blogs, she would appreciate it if you would list their URL in a comment. Those of you doing so will be entered in a random drawing for a surprise gift. The more current multi-cat blog URLs you list, the more chances you have to win. Those you list, however, must not have been listed in a previous comment.

All others coming over to pawty and leaving a comment will be entered in a second random drawing for a prize.

To be eligible for prizes, commenters must live in the U.S. or Canada and leave their comment no later than midnight EDT on July 24.

So finally…let’s get this pawty started. We’ve got games, full bird feeders, catnip and plenty of other noms. And especially for Sammy, as thanks for our beautiful card and because he is bringing his special trunk of costumes so we can all play dress up, we’ve got BACON!

Before we go, however, Mom wants to say something. I am so appreciative of the wonderful, caring and compassionate community of bloggers who feature their fur people in their blogs. I had no idea how many friends and kindred spirits I would find who would actually be interested in reading my blog, offering help and suggestions and leaving comments. My heartfelt thanks to each and every one of you. I look forward to writing this blog and reading all your imaginative, inspiring, intriguing and informative blogs for years to come. – Janet

Purrs and hugs to our mom, our followers and all her award recipients, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Josette

THANKFUL THURSDAY: AWARD FROM WOOFIES

We are super excited to let efurrybuddy know that we received an award from a woofie blog. We think that’s sort of like a country song crossing over to the pop chart, which is a pretty cool thing. Anyway, we received the SUPER SWEET BLOGGING AWARD from Adventures of Susie the Doxie. We think Susie must know that Mom is friends with two doxies, Carter and Abby, who are the fur children of her friend Cookie. Now, we suspect you’re wondering why we told you all this. ‘Cause this is The Super Sweet Blogging Award…Mom’s friend’s name is Cookie (which is a sweet)Cookie has two doxies…and we got our award from Susie, the doxie. Makes sense now, don’t you think?

Without further ado and gibberish, here are the rules:

#1 Thank the Super Sweet Blogger who nominated you.

Thank you again to Adventures of Susie the Doxie

#2 Answer five super sweet questions. Were going to let mom answer, ’cause we don’t eat sweets.

  • Cookies or cakes? Cake (triple fudge or strawberry, but I really like pie best)
  • Chocolate or vanilla? Dark Chocolate
  • Favorite sweet treat?  See’s Candies Dark Chocolate Nuts and Chews
  • When do you crave sweet things most?  Right after dinner. The last taste I want in my mouth for the evening needs to be sweet.
  • Sweet nickname? I’ve never had one. Most people don’t find it very endearing, but Tom and I call each other, “Poophead.”

#3 Include the Super Sweet Blogging award image in your blog post.

#4 Nominate a baker’s dozen bloggers to receive the Super Sweet Blogging Award.

Animal Shelter Volunteer Life  Athena, Cat Goddess (Cat)achresis catself  Critters in the Cottage Friends Furever The Island Cats Jacqueline’s Cat House Katnip Lounge Prancer Pie Random Felines Sweet Purrfections Tomcat Commentary by Tim

#5 Notify your nominees on their blogs.

Naming 13 blogs deserving of this award would have been easy except for the fact that so many of those we follow have already received it. If any of you have already received this award, we apologize for the inconvenience. Mom doesn’t do blanket giveaways to anybody who wants to take the award ’cause she never feels comfortable doing this when others make the offer. However, if you want it, don’t have it, and we haven’t named you, feel free to do as you please.

So that’s it for today. We are having trouble being thankful for anything else; although, we should be thankful that our house hasn’t floated down the river. We had nearly four additional inches of rain last night, it rained again today and we’re scheduled for more tonight. Since our house is 101 years old and hasn’t gone anywhere yet, we’re hoping it is here to stay.

Purrs and hugs, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo

 SUPER SWEET BLOGGING AWARD

EMBARRASSMENT OF RICHES

Before actually getting to our post, I want to thank all of you for the condolences for Sara Stein and her family left on our last post, “Flood Photos.” The post has been shared with the folks at Barn Cat Buddies. It, along with your kind words and prayers, will be shared with Sara when she returns from Tennessee, where Craig will be buried. The blogging community consists of the most caring, giving, loving and supportive individuals I have met anywhere in my lifetime.

With sincere gratitude, Janet

Now to the business at hand.

We are so excited to have received another award. Mom’s a little embarrassed since we just received one a few days ago. Don’t get us wrong, she loves the positive reinforcement and the fact that we have readers who like our blog.

Thank you to Beverly Harvey at moggiepurrs for passing it on to us.

Here are the rules:

1. Display the award.

2. Link back to the person who nominated you.

3. Nominate 10 others who have positively impacted your WordPress experience.

4. Let your WordPress family members know they’ve been nominated.

5. That’s it! Contact your 10 people who have accepted you as a “cyber friend” and let them know the good news!

We don’t believe we will be able to find ten blogs that we follow who are WordPress users who have not already received this award. Especially helpful to us when we’ve encountered problems have been Terry and kitties at Brian’s Home. We know that they already have this award!

♦ TWOCATSVIEWS ♦ HotMBC (House of Mostly Black Cats) ♦ Bailey Boat Cat ♦ grandmasmad3ringcircus ♦ Bark and Chatter ♦ The (mis)Adventure of Sage ♦ Savannah’s Paw Tracks ♦

If Mom wasn’t embarrassed enough, she received yet another award a day or two after the WordPress one. She will post about that later in the week.

We want to thank all of you who read our blog and especially those who leave comments. It warms our furry little hearts.

Purrs and hugs, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Josette
