PAINTING THE SEASONS ART & A CAT LAUGH

Caturday Art

Tali’s favorite sleeping position is with her head hanging down. Usually, she’s at the top of one of the cat trees. This time she was on one of the catio perches. She also added a dangle to her nap.

To create the art this week, I used the “Painting the Seasons” effect from Painnt. I made no changes to the settings, as I liked the original  colors and the texture. Tali looks as if she might be trying her paw at a little painting. The frame is from the favpng app.

Tali does have a jigsaw for all the puzzle fans.

Yesterday, I promised to share a joke from Dad Tom. I told him Gibbs and Tali were not operating with a full deck. Here’s his reply. “Yes they are. It is just a cat deck, and it only has two cards … Jokers!” MOL. Hope it gave you a giggle.

HOOLIGANS & THANKFULS

Thankful Thursday

I have one main and particularly important thankful this week. Yesterday, I was walking through the living room and saw Tali climbing the window screen. The window is just outside the catio. I did a double take, as I was not quite sure what I was seeing. I immediately went out on the catio and opened the door to the outside. Tali was there waiting for me and came right in. We have no idea how she got out unless she snuck between Dad Tom’s legs when he was going out or coming in earlier. I am thankful she knew how to get our attention and that she did not wander off anywhere.

I wish I had photographic evidence, but even though my phone was in my pocket, my only concern was getting her in the house.

Tali and Gibbs may have looked cute and innocent napping on their dad’s lap in yesterday’s post and in the following photo, but …

We have been replacing all but our automatic litter boxes with stainless steel ones. They do take some assembly, and Gibbs wanted to make sure his dad got it right.

TALI BLUE IS BLUE

Caturday Art

 

Art of a bi-eyed, white and calico kitten (Tali) is shades of blue with a blue flowered frame.

 

I made several versions of today’s art and liked all of them. Rather than making a collage as I did the last time this happened, I am saving the others to share in the future.

Of course, I used Painnt to create this. The effect is Heart of Stone. I changed the hue and used the analog coloring. To that I added the Bokeh 4 filter from piZap at 79 percent. As always, the frame is from the favpng app.

And, of course, there is a puzzle, which I trimmed down to eliminate a wide white border around the flowers.

This is one of those weeks when I have no idea which of the gang will be here as your host. If I had been thinking clearly, Tali’s photo for today would have made a purrfect selfie for tomorrow. I guess that means, whether you hop or not, you’ll need to stop in to see who volunteered or was coerced into hopping.

National Take Your Cat to the Vet Day

Can you imagine the chaos and caterwauling if everyone was actually able to do this today. We will be experiencing some of that the next two Mondays. As the dates for annual exams are now sort of spread all over the place, a round-up at home is not feasible. So, Calista Jo and Cooper Murphy go this Monday and Lisbeth and Kizmet the following Monday. The pairings are purposeful, as C.J. does not like Lisbeth or Kizmet.

1. New reading lights for the bedroom, which Dad Tom installed yesterday, was money well spent.

2. The purchase of the original reading lights six years ago was a big waste of money.

3. If I became famous, it would most likely be because of something I wrote.

4. A Tonette permanent that gave me an afro when I was five years old was the worst hairstyle I’ve ever had. (Afros weren’t really a thing in the 1950s.)

FRIENDSHIP SPARK WITH A GIBBS & TALI AWWW

This was the scene in my lap Saturday night. Pretty darn awww-adorable if you ask me. Of course, Gibbs had to show off his toe beans yet again.

Sparks

I have posted bunches of Sparks about friendship, including a different one from Thomas Aquinas. Friends are an essential part of what makes our lives enjoyable. I cherish the few I have and would do anything to help promote their happiness.

Gibbs and Tali are not just siblings, cuddlers, and rasslin’ buddies but also friends!

Sparks is the creation of Annie from McGuffy’s Reader. It began as a blog hop, created by our friend. Annie stated when she began Sparks, “I believe we are meant to be lights in this world. If we allow our light to shine, we can see where we are going. It is then that we can begin to truly see each other clearly. Together, we can light up the entire world.”

The Adventures of Periwinkle & Stinky

Tomorrow, your two favorite tabby cats will be adventuring again. It is Stinky’s turn to plan their adventure, so you will be able to find them right here. Stinky has failed to share with me what he has planned. I am certain, however, it will be something fun, so I definitely think you will want to check it out, and you know they will be looking for you to join them.

Our Angel Sawyer continues to live through these adventures as his alter-ego Stinky, and it would mean so much to Mom Sharon, Noelle and myself if you would continue to follow our two favorite, cartoon tabby cats.
