Sunday Selfies

AUTUMN ASTRID

Sunday Selfies: #476

In determining which of the Kitties Blue would have the honor of being your host today, I looked back to see who had not had a selfie for the longest period of time. As I suspected, it is Astrid. So she is here today in her latest portrait.

autumn Astrid: Tortoise shell (tortie) cat portrait in a gold and autumn leaf frame.

Astrid is the purrfect cat for an autumn selfie with her tortie fur colors. I believe those are enhanced by the frame I selected for her portrait.

After today, Astrid’s selfie will be added to The Felines page as her new portrait or mug shot, as dad Tom prefers to call it. This will be done for each of the following seven weeks with new portraits of each of the Kitties Blue.

Just as Cooper did last week, Astrid requested I make a puzzle of her photo. So, for the second week in a row, here is a bonus jigsaw for all of you who enjoy them.

Hopping Time

Now that Astrid has shared her selfie, it is time for you to do the same. If you get it snapped and posted early, you will have most of your day available for a nice nap or playtime with your humans. I know Kitties Blue will be enjoying catio time.

But, of course, if you cannot join us today, the hop remains open through Thursday. So, please come by, say “hi,” and add your photo to the hop when it is convenient for you. All your friends will be looking for you.

Thank you for stopping by to visit and for supporting this hop for nine-plus years.  Kitties Blue and I appreciate your friendship.

AUTUMN GINGER CAT

Sunday Selfies: Week #475

Selfie of a large ginger cat surround by autumn leaves.

So what do you think? Did I snap a good selfie? I don’t mean to be conceited, but I think I look pretty terrific with my gorgeous ginger furs framed with autumn leaves. In fact, I think I look so terrific, that I told Mom I wanted her to make a puzzle. She was happy to oblige me, but for some reason, she made it without the leaf border. More of me to admire, I guess.

Time to Hop

Now that I have shared my magnificent selfie with you, I hope you will share your selfie with all of us as well as your other friends. Participation was quite low last week. Mom is worried that we have done something to offend you all. She hasn’t been visiting much since Misty May developed her eye ulcer, as she was sleep deprived from having to do eye drops every four hours. Since Misty May passed, she hasn’t been feeling very social, but she promises to try to do better.

In case you have forgotten, the hop remains open through Thursday if you are too busy to join us today.

Finally, thank you so much for joining us today. We truly appreciate your support, comments and friendship.

Have an easy Sunday.

Purrs & paw pats, Cooper Murphy

🎂 HAPPY NINETEENTH BIRTHDAY ANGELS 🌈

Together Again

On July 17, three years ago, our sweet Mau left us. On Friday, the 15th, his sisfur, Misty May, joined him at 2:45 p.m. He missed his 16th birthday by two months. Misty May missed her 19th by two days.

Misty May started going down hill the day after her Tuesday vet visit. By Thursday evening, it was evident that she would not make it until today. I put her on my pillow at bedtime, which was her place, and she slept there until she moved in between Dad Tom and me, which had always been Mau’s spot. Friday morning she was unable to stand. I held her all day both before and after she passed. She was in my arms when she flew away.

So today, Dad Tom and I wish these two special angels a happy birthday. I hope you will enjoy these photos of them as kittens. They were almost eight when I started this blog, and you can find dozens of photos of them here as adults.

They were both truly loved and will be missed and remembered always.

Sunday Selfies: Week #474

Please join our angels, Mau and Misty May, on this hop and share your selfie with the eight remaining Kitties Blue and all your other friends.

Thank you for stopping by today to say, “good-bye,” to our two beautiful angels. Also, thanks for following, commenting and supporting us. We truly appreciate your friendship.

I will be taking the day off tomorrow, but Periwinkle and Stinky will be here on Tuesday for Meow Like a Pirate Day.

SAWYER’S SELFIE FOR NOELLE

Sunday Selfies: Week #473

Selfie for Noelle: Grey tabby, Manx cat, in a fancy frame with a lace ribbon and blue flower with pearl.

When Mom asked me to take a selfie, I was not interested, but then she reminded me that Noelle would be happy to see me. So, after a moment of consideration, I agreed. I’ll admit, it’s not my best effort. But it was dinner time, and I was super hungry. You see, I had turned down both breakfast and lunch. I think most of you know, I can be very stubborn when it comes to eating my meals. I don’t like my meds, not even the tuna-flavored ones.

Anyhoo, all that’s beside the point. I am here to send my love to Noelle and to host our Sunday Selfies blog hop!

I sure hope you will join me here on the hop. All my fursibs and I are looking forward to seeing your adorable faces. And if you have any friends who have never joined in the fun, I certainly hope you’ll invite them to join us. As a reminder, our hop is open through Thursday, so you don’t even need to post today to join.

Thanks for coming to see us today. Once you’ve joined up, please have a delightful and easy Sunday.

Purrs and paw-pats, Sawyer (with love to Noelle)

DR. JEKYLL & KITTY HYDE

Sunday Selfies: Week #472

I thought I might have to spend Caturday chasing Kitties Blue around the catio in an attempt to coerce one of them into taking a selfie. Kizmet, however, obliged by snapping one while sitting on the back of her dad’s chair.

Dr. Jekyll and Kitty Hyde: Grey cat is conflicted with one eye giving the stink eye and one helicopter ear. Circular photo surrounded by a flower frame in pinks, purples and grays.

I am not certain what was going on with Kizmet.  She has one normal eye and ear and one stink eye and helicopter ear. It’s like Dr. Jekyll and Kitty Hyde. Purrhaps she was conflicted as to whether or not she should snap a selfie. In spite of this unusual inconsistency of expression, I am delighted that Kizmet agreed to be your host today.

Hopping Time

Now that Kizmet has shared her selfie, it’s you turn. The kitties and I are aware that this is a holiday weekend, and you may be busy with your peeps. Or, they may be off somewhere celebrating without you. If either is the case, it is not a problem. The hop is open through Thursday.

Once you have link up, have an easy Sunday or an easy whatever day it is.

As always, Kitties Blue and I appreciate your joining us, following, commenting and being our friends.

PEEK-A-BOO SELFIE

Sunday Selfies: Week #471

peek-a-boo selfie: A pale ginger tabby cat peeks out of a hole in a cover over a cat tree.

Rain or shine Kitties Blue like their catio. We try to cover the cat tree when we know it’s going to rain. That doesn’t stop them from burrowing under the cover and getting in the tree. They have made a few additional ways to enter and exit with the help of their claws. Raleigh’s playing peek-a-boo with his head poking through one of those holes.

Raleigh would love it if you’d join him today on the blog hop. Everything is more fun when friends join in. If you don’t post on Sundays, that is never a problem. Our hop is always open through Thursday.

Looking forward to seeing you. And please do not forget to have an easy Sunday.

MEET HANDSOME TABBY JASPER

Sunday Selfies: Week #370

Handsome Brown tabby cat, Jasper, lying on a rug under a chair with a red and yellow flower border.

No, this is not a new member of the Kitties Blue family, but he is your host today. Jasper is one of the cats who lives with my friend, Etna. He showed up at her house as what she thought was a feral cat. Jasper is such an absolute sweetheart, however, and Etna is fairly certain now that he was abandoned or a stray. And isn’t he a handsome tabby. I just couldn’t resist sharing him today, as he gladly posed for a selfie after letting me rub his belly.

I hope you enjoyed meeting Jasper and did not miss seeing one of my nine turkeys.

Jasper invites you to hop with him by clicking on the link below. He’d love to meet you, and all of us here look forward to seeing you today. Thanks in advance for being hoppers. Have an easy Sunday.

CATIO TWO-FUR

Sunday Selfies: Week #469

catio two-fur: A light ginger tabby cat and a torbie cat on a cat tree on the catio.

Look who stepped up for selfies today—the youngest of the Kitties Blue. Audrey does not look too pleased about the situation but agreed to be included nonetheless. And Raleigh didn’t run off, which is really a big deal. So, today we have what we like to call a two-fur. Our two-fur was snapped on the catio.

Now it’s your turn to share a selfie with us and all your other friends. It doesn’t even take a minute to link up, so please join Audrey and Raleigh. As we always like to remind you: It is not necessary to post today. You have until midnight Thursday to join us. To everyone who does participate, Kitties Blue and I send a huge thank you.

Now go have yourselves an easy Sunday.

LISBETH’S RAINBOW HEART SELFIE

Sunday Selfies: Week #468

Tuxedo cat with a rainbow catnip toy and surrounded by a rainbow heart frame.

I feel as if I just shared a selfie, but Mom says that it was five weeks ago on July 1. She totally caught me off guard in the bedroom and talked me into snapping a selfie. I don’t spend time in the bedroom, but I will occasionally sneak a few feet in the door for a moment. I saw the nip rainbow and just had to check it out!

This was the fourth selfie I snapped. The lighting was off, but it was the only one where I wasn’t looking down on the rainbow. Mom thinks my eyes are my best feature, so she selected this photo. I hope you like it.

Please, Hop With Me

I know all of you know how this works. I share my selfie as your host, and then you share yours by linking up. If you are new here, however, welcome. My fursibs and I are delighted to see you and hope we become good friends. The hop remains open through Thursday, so if you are too busy to join us today, we will be looking forward to seeing you sometime during the next few days.

Finally, thanks for being our followers, friends and supporters. And, don’t forget to have an easy Sunday.

Purrs & paw-pats, Lisbeth

MEET MAGNIFICENT MOCHI

Sunday Selfies: Week #467

Mochi Sunday Selfie - International Day of Friendship badge

Today in the International Day of Friendship, so as mentioned yesterday, we have a friend as our guest host today.

Mochi Sunday Selfie - mini Australian Shepherd/Border Collie mix dog with black and white fur surrounded by a yellow and lime green frame with a yellow ribbon and bow.

This is Mochi. She is an almost two-year-old, mini Australian Shepherd/Border Collie mix. Mochi’s favorite game is “ball.” She lives in Arizona with her human parents, Emily and Jordan. Emily’s mom is my long-time friend, Mary Jane. If you have followed us for a while, you know that Mary Jane was Mau’s human girlfriend. She’s appeared on the blog previously. One of the posts where you can find her is “Friendship Friday with a Special Friend,” where she appears with Misty May on her lap.

Kitties Blue are delighted to have Mochi hosting today; even though, she is a woofie. With Mochi here none of them had to step up and snap a selfie, which, as you know, is one of their least favorite things to do.

Hopping Time

Now that you have met Mochi, it’s time for you to get your selfie taken, so you can join us on the hop. Or, maybe, you have a friend you would like to either share with us or invite to join. It’s always more fun with a crowd, and this is a great place to make new friends.

We’ll be here through Thursday if you can’t pop over today.

Thank you so much for being friends, hoppers and supporters. Have an easy and cool Sunday.
