Jigsaw Puzzle

AUTUMN GINGER CAT

Sunday Selfies: Week #475

Selfie of a large ginger cat surround by autumn leaves.

So what do you think? Did I snap a good selfie? I don’t mean to be conceited, but I think I look pretty terrific with my gorgeous ginger furs framed with autumn leaves. In fact, I think I look so terrific, that I told Mom I wanted her to make a puzzle. She was happy to oblige me, but for some reason, she made it without the leaf border. More of me to admire, I guess.

Time to Hop

Now that I have shared my magnificent selfie with you, I hope you will share your selfie with all of us as well as your other friends. Participation was quite low last week. Mom is worried that we have done something to offend you all. She hasn’t been visiting much since Misty May developed her eye ulcer, as she was sleep deprived from having to do eye drops every four hours. Since Misty May passed, she hasn’t been feeling very social, but she promises to try to do better.

In case you have forgotten, the hop remains open through Thursday if you are too busy to join us today.

Finally, thank you so much for joining us today. We truly appreciate your support, comments and friendship.

Have an easy Sunday.

Purrs & paw pats, Cooper Murphy

KIZMET’S PEEKING ART

Caturday Art

I decided to go with another autumn-themed art creation this week, as today is the first day of fall. It is Kizmet peeking out from one of her undercover caves.

Grey cat peeking from under an afghan in an art photo in fall colors.

Of course, I used Painnt to create my art. This is the Embrace Love effect. I tinkered with the hue and saturation, and I am not certain what else. And, of course, the frame is from the favpng app.

Here’s a puzzle for all of you who enjoy a jigsaw.

Sunday Selfies Reminder

Another week has flown by, and it’s time again to think about snapping a selfie for our hop tomorrow. As usual, I have absolutely no idea which of the Kitties Blue will be your host. Hopefully, you’ll be curious enough to want to find out, and you will drop in to see us and share a selfie. You know all your friends will be looking for you.

Have a happy and fun Caturday. Thanks for joining us today.

HIDING IN PLAIN SIGHT

Caturday Art

I created two different pieces of art for today’s post. I couldn’t decide which I liked best and so have shared them both. Autumn is just around the corner, and the first art creation represents that. I used Painnt to create my art and favpng for the frame. Both the effect and the frame are named, Autumn.

Kizmet was in one of her favorite places in the TV cabinet. There isn’t always space, but Dad Tom had removed one of the blankets leaving her the purrfect hiding spot.

A fall rendition of a photo of a cat hiding in a cabinet in colors of red, orange, green and aqua with a border of fall leaves.

Here’s the second piece of art. This is the Cloud of Butterflies B effect from Painnt with another frame from favpng.

Cat hiding in a TV cabinet in lavender monochrome with an oval lavender frame.

Which do you like best? Let Kizmet know in the comments.

I made a a puzzle for you from the Autumn art. I felt the Butterflies art had too much white space around it, which is kind of boring when doing a puzzle.

Sunday Selfies Reminder

Please don’t miss Sunday Selfies tomorrow. It’s a big day, as two of the Kitties Blue will be having a birthday celebration. So even if you have no plans to join our blog hop, the gang have their paws crossed that you’ll drop in for a party. Of course, we all hope you’ll share a snap of yourself, as that’s the idea behind Sunday Selfies. And, you know your friends want to see you just as much as we do!

Thanks for stopping by today.

MISCHIEVOUS KITTY ART

Caturday Art

mischievous cat art: Grey cat sitting with shredded tissue paper in an art photo.

I didn’t have any new kitty photos I thought would make for interesting art. So, I selected one of my favorite photos—Kizmet and the tissue paper she shredded. I originally shared it on June 23, in the post, “Not Sorry.” Kizmet says that she still isn’t sorry!

Kizmet will grab toilet paper right out my hand to shred it. We have to keep tissue boxes upside down, or she will pull out every single tissue. She is definitely mischievous!

I created the arty version of the photo using the Tabitha effect from Painnt. The simple frame is from favpng.

Here’s the link to the puzzle.

Another week has flown by, and it’s time again to get your selfie snapped for tomorrow’s blog hop. Whether you dislike taking selfies like the Kitties Blue crew, or are ready and waiting when Sunday rolls around, we certainly hope you will snap your photo and join us. If you don’t, not only will we miss you but so will all your other friends.

If you’ve never joined us before, what are you waiting for? This is the best place to show everyone just how cute you are as well as to make new friends.

So, hope to see you here tomorrow. And many thanks for joining us today.

MISTY MAY’S FACE PLANT NAP

Feline Friday

face plant cat: Tuxedo cat asleep on her face.

Misty May often sleeps like this and has for many years. I previously shared a similar photo on September 23, 2020, in the Wordless Wednesday post, “Face Plant.”

The eye you can see in the photo is the one with the ulcer. As you can see, Misty May can now close her eye, which she had been unable to do. So, progress has been made for which Dad Tom and I are grateful.

Misty May will be participating in the Feline Friday blog hop hosted by messy mimi’s meanderings. If you’d like to do the same, click on the badge below.

I think Misty May looks pretty cute in her photo, so I made a puzzle.

Friendly Fill-Ins

The Friendly Fill-Ins blog hop is hosted each Friday by Ellen (15 And Meowing) and Lorianne (Four-Legged Furballs). The sentences to be filled in can be found on their blogs each Thursday. To join the hop, click on the badge at the left.

The Fill-Ins are always easier to complete when I get help from one or more of the Kitties Blue, but for the second week in a row, I did them all by myself. I used teal italics for my completions. Explanatory information is in parentheses.

1. Love your pets with all your heart.

2. My plans for September include working in the yard and going to the play, “Bright Star,” with my friend, Etna.

3. Having Chris to clean the house twice a month has made my life easier.

4. Having special needs cats really complicates things. (But it is worth it!)

DREAMCATCHER GLITTER CAT

Caturday Art

dreamcatcher glitter cat: Torbie cat lying on a blanket on the bed in a photo turned into art with the Dreamcatcher effect from Painnt and the Glitter filter from piZap in shades of mostly blue and purple.

Audrey demanded equal time as Raleigh has been featured twice since she was last here. As both Cooper Murphy and Raleigh shared that photo with her, she claims it doesn’t count. So here she is, lying on the bed watching out the window for birds and bugs.

To turn her into an artful cat, I used the Dreamcatcher effect from Painnt with a slight boost to the saturation. To that I added the Glitter filter from piZap at 40%. And the frame, of course, is from the favpng app.

And here’s the puzzle.

Sunday Selfies Reminder

Here we are again, ready to begin another week and in a brand new month. This one includes the first day of fall, which I am anxiously awaiting. We have had a few delightful days with below average temperatures and humidity. Unfortunately, hotter weather is returning. Of course, Kitties Blue could care less. They’ll spend their days on the catio regardless of how hot it gets. And I suspect that is where I will be trying to corner one of them to get a selfie for tomorrow.

Whether you dislike taking selfies like the Kitties Blue crew, or are ready and waiting when Sunday rolls around, we certainly hope you will take the time to snap your photo and join us. If you don’t, not only will we miss you but so will all your other friends.

If you’ve never joined us before, what are you waiting for? This is the best place to make new friends.

So, hope to see you here tomorrow. And many thanks for joining us today.

CATNIP COMA

Caturday Art

Two cats are in a catnip coma atop a table in an "artified" photo in colors of aqua, blue, pink, purple and yellow.

.
A few weeks ago I shared some Caturday Art of Calista Jo passed out on the catio table, after imbibing in some homegrown nip. It was in the post, “Nip-Induced Nap.” Today, I have both Kizmet (on the left) and C.J. (again) on the right. I guess our homegrown nip is pretty good stuff!

I used Painnt to create my art. This is the Desigual effect, which I tinkered with to the point that I am unable to tell you exactly what I did. To that I added the Flower Power filter from piZap as well as a frame from the favpng app.

And, of course, there is a puzzle. I hope you enjoy it!

Sunday Selfies Reminder

I cannot believe tomorrow is the last Sunday of the month. Two-thirds of 2023 is nearly behind us. I absolutely do not know where the minutes, hours, days, weeks, months and years go. Though, whenever I look in the mirror, I see every one of those moments in time on my face and body. So what does that have to do with Sunday Selfies? Absolutely nothing! It’s just how I’m feeling as I finish this post. Hope it’s okay I shared that with all of you.

As far as Sunday Selfies go, your host has been identified and the selfie already snapped. I won’t have to chase any of the Kitties Blue down today. That’s always a relief. But I am not giving any hints as to which of the Kitties Blue it is. You will have to stop in to find out.

Thanks so much for joining us today. See you mañana.

DUSKY FLORAL BATHING AUDREY

Caturday Art

A bathing tabby cat is turned into art in the colors of lavender and brown and tan with the Dusky Floral effect from Painnt.

I snapped this photo of Audrey while she was bathing after playing with the new toy from the Cat Lady box. The playtime photo I shared on Thursday in the post, “Trapped & a Thankful Audrey.”

I am a creature of habit and went back to the Painnt app again for this effect. It is called Dusky Floral. And, of course, the frame is from the favpng app.

Here’s a puzzle for those of you, like me, who enjoy them.

Sunday Selfies Reminder

Another week has flown by, and it’s time to think about getting your selfie snapped for tomorrow’s blog hop.  As usual, I have no idea which of the Kitties Blue will be here to greet you. I’ll probably be following at least a couple of them around today to try to catch one of them off guard! Whomever is here, as well as all the other Kitties Blue will be looking forward to seeing you tomorrow.

Thanks for stopping in to see us today. We all wish you have a wonderful Caturday!

NIP-INDUCED NAP

Caturday Art

Some kitty indulged in a bit too much nip.

Nip-Induced nap: Art rendering in the colors of blue, rose and yellow of a dilute tortoise shell cat sleeping on a table with a pile of half-eaten catnip.

That’s Calista Jo in a nip-induced nap on the catio table after imbibing some fresh, home-grown catnip. You can see the remnants of the nip in the foreground. C.J. wasn’t too happy that she had her photo snapped while she was exposing her ample belly. She is the second largest of the Kitties Blue weighing in at just under 17 pounds. I always find it hard to believe that the tiny kitten whom Astrid (currently just over six pounds) towered over has grown into this behemoth. (Please don’t tell her I said that!) C.J. does have a tendency to throw that weight around. She can be really hissy and a bit of a bully, especially when it comes to Lisbeth.

But Calista Jo loves me. She must sleep as close to me as she can every night. If she could crawl under my skin, she would.

To create the art, I, of course, used Painnt. This is the Galle effect. To that I added the Curved Light filter from piZap at 70 percent. As per usual, the frame is from the favpng app.

And, here’s the puzzle.

Sunday Selfies Reminder

Tomorrow’s the day when we all put our best paw, fin, wing or whatever appendage is appropriate for your species, forward and share a selfie. No one here is leaping at the opportunity to be your host, but I am certain I’ll coerce on of the Kitties Blue in time to go live at midnight ET on Sunday.

We know that some of you enjoy taking a selfie, which is the only reason we’ll be back tomorrow for week #468 of this hop. Maybe, we’ll even get some newcomers participating.

So, all the Kitties Blue hope you have a terrific Caturday and look forward to seeing you tomorrow.

COLOSSAL CONTORTIONIST

Caturday Art

Personally, I believe ginger, tabby cats make for terrific art either as they are or when enhanced. Last week, Raleigh had the honor of being the subject of our art. This week that distinction belongs to our colossal contortionist, Cooper Murphy.

Ginger cat snoozing in the sun is a colossal contortionist in an ratified photo.

This was Cooper Murphy snoozing on the catio in his favorite position (tummy up) on a super hot day. Don’t let that sweet expression fool you. Snorgling that belly could get you bitten!

To create the art, I used the Keys effect from Painnt with some slight alterations to contrast, saturation and brightness. And, as usual, the frame is from the favpng app.

I do have a puzzle for those of you who are interested.

Sunday Selfies Reminder

Tomorrow is not only Sunday Selfies day, but it is also International Day of Friendship. To celebrate that we will be having a guest host for the hop—the pet of the daughter and son-in-law of my dear friend, Mary Jane. You don’t want to miss seeing her. She’s a real cutie pie.

So, you’ll not want to miss the opportunity to come by tomorrow to meet our guest. And, of course, when you do, Kitties Blue will be looking forward to you sharing your selfie an entering our hop. You might even make some new friends while you are here.

Thanks for joining us today. Have a terrific Caturday.
