Sunday Selfies: Week #574

Some preoccupied kitties, Cooper Murphy and Audrey, are here to host the hop today. They had been watching television, but then when I asked them to take a selfie, they acted all perturbed and refused to look toward the phone. Regardless, they are here with a slight photobomb by their dad, and they hope you will join them.

If you were with us last week then you know we celebrated the 11th anniversary of Sunday Selfies. At the time I mentioned there might be a surprise for whoever had been hopping with the longest. And that person is our dear friend, Ellen, from 15AndMeowing. She was the only one of our current hoppers who was with us on hop #1 in 2014. Congratulations Ellen! The kitties and I will come up with something special for you!

National Black Cat Appreciation Day

Though there are no black cats among the Kitties Blue at this time, I still love them bunches and would adopt one in a heartbeat. The two that were part of our family many years ago, Thelma and Twinkle, were both special and will be remembered and missed always. If you do not know anything about them, click on “The Felines” in the menu bar. For those of you with black cats, we hope you’ll share a selfie of them here.

Lisbeth is pretty miffed about being photobombed yesterday. Consequently, I’m sharing another photo of her today for our Caturday Art. Unfortunately, I was unable to get her to look at me.

To create Lisbeth’s art, I used the Birch Delight effect from Painnt with the hard light filter. I also changed the hue in order to get the orange color. The frame is from Favpng. I used the art to to create a puzzle for you.

We asked yesterday if you knew which of the Kitties Blue used their tailio to photobomb Lisbeth. The few who guessed said, “Kizmet.” You were correct. We thought some might guess Misty May or Astrid.

Oh boy, tomorrow is the day when all of the Kitties Blue friends drop by our blog hop and share their selfies with us. They know you don’t want to be left out, and they know you don’t want to miss having an Easy Sunday. So get those photos snapped now, and you’ll be ready to go first thing Sunday.

You may be wondering which of us is the phtobomber. It’s Calista Jo! She snuck in on my suitcase selfie. Dad was heading out of town yesterday afternoon for his monthly board meeting, and I was hoping to tag along. Unfortunately I was discovered. Since I couldn’t go with Dad, I decided to do a selfie so he can see me first thing when he gets up in the morning. I’m normally really good about looking straight at the camera, so I apologize for giving you a semi-profile photo.

I tried to convince Cooper Murphy to remove himself from my blanket, which was a gift from Allie, as well as my side before I snapped my selfie. As you can see, I was not successful. And that’s the explanation for my expression. I’ve got absolutely nothing else to say today, which in itself is probably a first for me.

So here’s that hopping stuff Mom makes us post every week.

Yesterday’s Paw Guessing Game

So our art for Athena’s Caturday Art Blog Hop is the paw of one of the Kitties Blue. I said I would have a surprise for the human and anipal who correctly guessed to which cat the paw belongs. Well, we only had a pawful of visitors yesterday, and no one guessed correctly. If you want to pop back to yesterday’s post, the link is at the bottom of this post.
