Sunday Selfies: Week #517

For the second Sunday in a row, Mom is exhausted, and she’s not writing this post. She has handed the duties over to me this week, and this is my first go at blogging, so I ask you not to expect too much. Mom said if we Kitties Blue get good at this, she might hand over the writing of our selfies’ posts to us. As you all might expect, I am hoping I am not good at this. But, before I continue, here is my selfie.

Comments About My Selfie

Mom asked me why I always look a bit grumpy in my photos. For starters, I didn’t know I look grumpy. But, I must admit, I am not a super meowdel who enjoys posing, like Kizmet does. If you didn’t already know that, I am pretty certain my raspberry says it all.

One more comment about my selfie. You may have noticed I am now wearing an AirTag, just like Kizmet and Sawyer wear. It’s not that I am a flight risk, but I am excellent at removing my collar (sometimes with the help of one of my fursibs) and then hiding it where Mom and Dad can’t find it. My previous one has been missing for more than a month. Mom decided an AirTag would be less expensive than continually replacing my I.D. and collar. Whatever…

Anyhoo, once again we are going to post early as well. Mom hopes this does not become a permanent situation. But due to the extreme heat and worsening health issues, she’s pretty exhausted by the end of the week. Add to that the fact she’s been getting up early for two weeks to watch Le Tour de France, and I am not surprised she wants to get to bed early.

Purrsonally, I love watching TV, and especially sports. There’s always lots of action and color, but I don’t get up extra early to do it.

Okay, so that’s all I have to say, except…

That’s right, I would be delighted if you would join me on the blog hop and keep me company. It’s fun to see everybody, and it can get pretty lonely hanging out here all day by myself. Sunday Selfies: Week #516

Hi Friends,

Mom is letting me write my own post today.  She is super tired after Dad Tom’s and her seven-hour round trip in the car to North Carolina for a reception in remembrance of their friend, Mary Holly Blalock. She passed away at the end of last month. Mom wrote about it here and shared a 20-year-old photo of Mary and herself.

As usual, I don’t have much to say. Mom tried to find a frame to match my green eyes, but I am not overly-excited about this one. It’s a bit garish. The one both of us wanted just didn’t work out. Pffft!

So, anyhoo, now that I have shared my selfie, I am looking forward to seeing yours. I know some of you still may be celebrating and enjoying the final day of the four-day weekend. If so, that’s okey-dokey. You know I’ll be here through Thursday waiting for you to link up.

We are going to post and open the hop a bit early, so Mom can get to bed. I am pretty certain that should not be an inconvenience to anybody.

Sunday Selfies: Week #512

Mom helped me with my selfie, so of course, it’s a little fuzzy. She has trouble with her balance so is always a bit wobbly when she takes photos. That’s why most of the photos on our blog are taken by Dad Tom. Regardless, I think I look pretty cute; though, a bit serious! That is not unusual for me.

I hope you enjoy seeing my toesies as well.

Sunday Selfies: Week #509

I apologize for not looking up in my selfie. I was in Mom’s lap when I snapped this. No surprise there. If you missed my last photo in Mom’s lap, check it out at “Life of a Cat Mom.” I took two additional selfies and did a better job at looking up. The best one, however, was really overexposed, and Mom wasn’t able to make my furs look good in it. She’s saving it for some Caturday Art.

I’m letting Mom have the night off and probably tomorrow as well, so she and Dad can celebrate their anniversary.

But, I hope you won’t take tonight and tomorrow off, as I really want to see your selfie. Your friends will be here looking for you as well.

Sunday Selfies: Week #496

Hi Friends,

I know I don’t snap selfies very often and when I do it is usually when I am lying on either my mom or dad. That’s why the photos, like this one, are often blurry. I do apologize for this.

I do have a bit of a confession to make. As Mom is typing this post for me, I am proving to be a bit of a hindrance. I am sitting in her lap, purring and nudging her hand. And, of course, I am totally blocking the keyboard. I love her new chair, as I can lie half on her lap and half on her lap desk, making me the center of attention. It’s what I deserve after dealing with Misty May bullying me for 12 years. 

By now, you also should know that I am a cat of few words. So, I am signing off in order to give you all the opportunity to add your selfie to our blog hop.

Sunday Selfies: Week #486

The hop is now open. I apologize for not checking and getting it up earlier!

So, I know this expression is what human’s call, “if looks could kill,” but I am not grumpy or mad. I was, however, facing the window when I snapped this, and the sun made me squint.

Believe me, I have nothing to be miffed about. Mom has already wrapped several presents for all us Kitties Blue and put them under the tree. And, I saw a box in the foyer, which I know has something in it our dad ordered for us. You see, absolutely nothing gets past me. I carefully inspect everything that comes into the house. Mom can never get a Cat Lady box past me. I know cat toys are in it just waiting for me to put the bitey on them. And…Tuesday is my Gotcha Day! Life is good, and I am a very fortunate kitty. Mom continues to request that I get off the table while she is wrapping gifts, but, as I said, nothing gets past me. I am certain Santa will forgive these minor transgressions.
