ANOTHER SERIOUS SELFIE FROM SAWYER

Sunday Selfies: Week #416

I haven’t had a selfie in several weeks, so I am particularly happy to see all of you. You may not think that’s the case by the serious look on my face. But for those of you who know me well, you know I usually look either grumpy or serious.

Things have been going great for me. If you read our Thankful Thursday post, you know that as of then I hadn’t had a seizure in seven weeks, and my streak continues. I have been doing a better job of eating my medicated noms, which is probably the reason I am doing so well. And I know all the prayers and support I get help as well. Thank you!

Time to Hop

Now that I have shared my selfie with you, which I sure hope my girlfriend Noelle likes, it’s time for you to share yours with me, my housemates and all your other friends.

If you are enjoying a nice easy Sunday with your family and don’t want to be bothered with a selfie, you can join the hop through Thursday. And you don’t even have to post today to join.

On behalf of Mom and all the Kitties Blue, thanks for being our friends, supporters, followers and hoppers.

Purrs & paw-pats, Sawyer (with love to Noelle)

PURPLE POLKADOT SELFIE

Sunday Selfies: Week #414

purple polkadot cat: tuxedo cat wearing a purple polka dot collar and framed in purple polkadots

I don’t show up here often (the last time was June 11), but when I do, I make certain it’s with a terrific photo. Mom made my selfie even more special by matching the frame to my purple polkadot collar. I hope my angel boyfriend, Charles, is looking down and can see me. I’m thinking of him and sending him all my love.

I asked Mom to make a puzzle of me, as I like this photo so much.

Hopping Time

Y’all know what time it is now. Time to share you selfie with us and all your other friends. Most of us are in the midst of the “hots” of summer, so I suggest you get your selfie snapped and posted early. That way you can find a nice cool spot and enjoy an easy for the remainder of the day. Of course, if you cannot join us today, the blog will be open through Thursday.

On behalf of all the Kitties Blue I’d like to thank each of you for your support, following and friendship, especially for our blog hop and for the many milestones we celebrated this week.

Thanks for joining us today.

Purrs & paw-pats, Lisbeth

COCOONING SELFIE & A SAD FAREWELL

Sunday Selfies: Week #412

When you see today’s selfie, you may think it is Sawyer recovering from a seizure. But it isn’t. It’s me, Kizmet.

I like to turn towels, afghans, blankets and any other warm item into a cocoon. This afghan off the back of my dad’s chair, however, is my favorite. So, it seemed like an excellent place to snap my selfie for today. It doesn’t matter that we are having a hot, hot summer with oodles of humidity. I will even cocoon on the catio in a tarp Mom has there.

If you missed my towel cocoon photo, I look totally adorable in it. You can see that photo at “Do You Need This?”.

I asked Mom to make another puzzle, since I think this is such a sweet photo. I sure hope you enjoy completing it.

Hopping Along

Now it’s your turn to snap a selfie and join our hop. You know you want to show off just how cute you are. And my fursibs and all your friends want to opportunity to “ooh” and “aah” when they see you. Cute animals make people happy, and we all know our humans could use a lot more happiness in their lives. So, please participate! If it’s inconvenient for you do join today or if you don’t post on Sundays, you have the opportunity to join the hop anytime before midnight Thursday! See…you have no reason not to join!

Newest Angel: Little Binky

It is with heavy hearts we say good-bye to friend and regular hopper, Little Binky, from AngelsWhisper2011.

Little Binky lived in Holland with her granny and grandpaw. In a few months she would have celebrated her 20th birthday. She was a true sweetheart and famous for handing out pawkisses. Her granny wrote the most beautiful memorial post for her. If you haven’t visited and left your condolences, click on Little Binky’s photo to do so.

Little Binky spent lots of time enjoying her beautiful garden, so my mom thought a bed a flowers was the purrfect background for this memorial.

Little Binky, we will miss you but know we will all meet again. Until that time comes, you are with all our angel fursibs and angel friends and well looked after. Sending you pawkisses.

Purrs & paw-pats, Kizmet

STEGOSAURUS & CAT ARTIFIED

Caturday Art

For our art today, Mom selected another photo of me with the stegosaurus Periwinkle sent to Stinky for his birthday.

Art version of grey tabby cat with pink and blue stegosaurus toy and a sparkly flower border

To create the art Mom used the Fizz effect from Painnt and a border from favpng. She is definitely stuck in a rut!  Sorry.

Athena Cat Goddess Wise Kitty hosts the Caturday Art blog hop. I’m going to join, and you can as well. Just click on Athena’s badge.

If you’d like to see me with my stegosaurus in an “unartified” photo, click on the link to yesterday’s post at the bottom of this page.

Mom made a puzzle for you.

Sunday Selfies Reminder

Another week has slipped past, and it’s already time to get your selfie snapped so you can participate in our hop tomorrow. I have no idea which of us might be your host. That means, even if you don’t hop, you’ll need to pop over to check out who is here tomorrow to greet you. And, of course, you’ll want to see the selfies of your friends.

Thanks for stopping in today. Kitties Blue and I look forward to seeing you again tomorrow.

Purrs and paw-pats, Sawyer (with love and whisker kisses for Noelle)

🇺🇸RED, WHITE, BLUE & GINGER CAT🐈

Sunday Selfies: Week # 411

It was fine with me when Mom said I would be hosting Sunday Selfies today. And I was even okay when she said I would probably dress up my selfie for Independence Day. However, I think she went way overboard.

When a cat is as handsome as I am, he does not need to have his photo messed with in this way. I do apologize for snoozing during my selfie, but I am certain you don’t mind too much about that.

Though Mom made a puzzle of Misty May for you yesterday, she decided to create yet another one for today. I think she was trying to make up for botching my selfie. Please do not feel obligated to do the puzzle. Mom botched up that as well by making it ridiculously difficult.

Now its’s time for you to share your selfie with us. If your human decided to dress up your photo, I hope s/he used better judgment than mine. Fancy or not, it doesn’t matter. My fursibs, all your friends and I cannot wait to see your adorable face.

I do recommend you have a super easy Sunday, as you know both tonight and tomorrow night will get pretty noisy as the humans celebrate.

Thank you for being hoppers, followers, supporters and friends.

Purrs and paw-pats, Cooper Murphy

NOW & THEN WITH SAWYER

Sunday Selfies: Week #410

NOWNow and then: serious portrait of grey, tabby, Manx cat.

THEN

now and then: PawBoost missing poster of grey, tabby Manx cat.

That’s right…one year ago today I left on my unauthorized walkabout. I turned my mom and dad into stressed out, crazy people. That lasted for three and a half weeks.

As you can see, I have grown up a lot since then. Manx cats are not considered adults until they turn five years old. I will have my fifth birthday in a few days. Last year I missed my birthday. This year I have no intention of letting that happen.

I have been a good boy and not tried to escape. An electronic locator has been added to my collar just in case I get any wild ideas.

I am blessed that my mom and dad never gave up on me and kept searching and spreading the word that I was missing. And I am grateful for all the prayers said for me and the support each of you gave my parents. Mom has written many times in the past ten years about how wonderful the pet blogging community is, and I totally agree with her. Thank you.

Hopping Time

I sincerely hope you will join me today and post a selfie to share with us and all your friends. Posting today is not necessary. You can participate anytime between now and Thursday. Thanks for joining me today, dear friends. Enjoy an easy Sunday!

Purrs and paw-pats, Sawyer (with love and whisker kisses for Noelle)

THE LAUGHING CAT & FILL-INS BY SAWYER

Apology

Good morning friends. Please forgive the late post. It is, of course, all mom’s fault. She took Dad Tom out last night for a belated Father’s Day dinner. They went to a Peruvian restaurant and overindulged. Mom was in a food coma when they got home. On top of that she had a mango mojito, and her brain cells were scrambled.

She stared at her half-written poem, already a day late, for about two hours and finally gave up trying to finish it. In my opinion…a very wise move. As she had already made me do all the fill-ins, she suggested I write this post as well. And though she has finished the poem this morning, I will say it is not her best work.

But without any further ado, here is the inspiration photo and her poem followed by my fill-ins.

Thoroughly Poetic Thursday Friday

I really thought I should be the cat in the poem, but Mom said I had that honor last week, and I had to let someone else do it. So this week Lisbeth gets the spotlight.

laughing cat: two little boys have crashed their kiddy cars and a tuxedo cat sits nearby laughing

The Laughing Cat

I’m sorry! I swerved to miss the cat
That jumped right into my path.
Now it’s sitting and laughing.
I find his actions quite baffling.

Oh, I think he was chasing that toad
That’s now lying dead in the road.
I ran over him trying to avoid your car.
But now look where we are!

I think we’ll both need to get a tow
And a bandaid for your scraped elbow.
Plus we better go get our moms
And also pick up some tasty kitty noms.

I agree our prankster friend could use a snack,
Especially after you gave that toad a whack.
It’s time to forget our fancy wheels
And give kitty some attention and a meal!

Thoroughly Poetic Thursday is hosted each week by Angel Sammy and Teddy over at Two Spoiled Cats. They provide the inspiration photo, and you provide the poem. If you’d like to participate, click on the poetry badge. And please read Angel Sammy’s poem. He’s a poetry pro!

Friendly Fill-Ins: Week #217

The Friday blog hop Kitties Blue try to participate in each week is Friendly Fill-Ins, hosted by Ellen (15 And Meowing) and Lorianne (Four-Legged Furballs). If you’d like to participate, you can find the four sentences to be filled in each Thursday on their blogs.

Here are this week’s fill-ins—all completed by me, Sawyer, with the usual teal italics.

1. The grossest food I ever ate was any of the stinky goodness that has my meds in it.
2. The best tasting food I ever had was Temptations.
3. I should probably eat my noms always, but I won’t.
4. If I could have an unlimited supply of one item, I would pick Temptations.

To participate, click on the fill-ins badge.

Friendship/Feline Friday

Finally, Lisbeth is participating in Create With Joy‘s Friendship Friday blog hop and Comedy Plus’ Feline Friday blog hop.

Purrs & paw-pats, Sawyer

p.s. Please make certain to join us on Sunday for a special Sunday Selfies post featuring me!

I’M BACK…AGAIN!

Sparks

Wowie, wow, wow! Can you believe it? I’m back again today. I have no idea why this is happening, but I certainly hope y’all don’t mind. I am doing the Spark as well as joining the Awww Mondays blog hop at Comedy Plus.

I'm back again...tuxie cat spread out asleep

Okay, I just read the Spark and figured out why I’m back…again. It’s ’cause I’m old. In fact, I am the oldest living being in this house. At almost 19, I am 90 in human years. My humans are old, but they should hope to live so long.

And there are a few things that aren’t bad about growing old, especially the opportunity to nap whenever I want. Mom also thinks that is a plus. And she knows no longer having to get up at 5:45 a.m to get ready to go to work is a really good thing; though, she hasn’t done that in over 20 years. Can you think of anything good about growing old? If so, let me know in the comments.

Mom says I have to tell you something about this Judy Parfitt purrson (oops, I mean person). Judy Catherine Claire Parfitt is an 88-year-old, English actress. She’s worked in theatre, film and television. She’s done some American projects, but if you’re a fan of the BBC, as my humans are, you’ll know her from there. Most recently (since 2012), she has been playing the role of Sister Monica Joan in the drama series Call the Midwife.

Sparks is the creation of Annie from McGuffy’s Reader. Sparks began as a blog hop, created by our friend. Annie stated when she began Sparks, “I believe we are meant to be lights in this world. If we allow our light to shine, we can see where we are going. It is then that we can begin to truly see each other clearly. Together, we can light up the entire world.”

The Adventures of Periwinkle & Stinky

Those awww-adorable cartoon tabbies, Periwinkle and Stinky, will be taking their next adventure tomorrow. These two active youngsters (who also takes lots of naps) have oodles of fun when they’re together. They especially enjoy taking you along with them, so please plan to meet them right here tomorrow!

MOTHER’S DAY 2022 SELFIES

Sunday Selfies: Week #403

mother's day selfies of ginger cat

Being a bit of a suck up, I volunteered to do the selfie today. After all, who wouldn’t want to be the one to wish our mom a Happy Mother’s Day. Without her we would be inconspicuous (at least to those who frequent the internet). Trust us, we are constantly up in our humans’ business at home and do not go unnoticed.

Anyhoo, the other Kitties Blue and I think we have a pretty terrific mom. So, of course, they wanted to get in on the celebration as well, and they made her a special card.

mother's day selfies of six cats in heart shapes with a flowered frame

So, basically, we are giving you seven selfies today; though, mine is the only one that’s new!

Your Turn

Now that I have shared my selfie as well as those of my fursibs, I invite you to share your selfie with us and all your other friends. You have until Thursday to join the hop just in case you are busy celebrating your mom today.

All the Kitties Blue wish all the moms, whether their kids are humans or anipals, a super great day.

We’d also like to thank each of you for joining us today and continuing to support our blog.

Purrs & paw-pats, Cooper Murphy

LONG-AWAITED SAWYER SELFIE

Sunday Selfies: Week #401

Sawyer Selfie: portrait of grey tabby cat with green eyes.

Well, it’s about time I got to host Sunday Selfies. My last hosting gig was on January 16. To be fair, I am not a selfie fan, but I think I should get equal time to show you just how darn adorable I am. Actually I’m pretty darn surprised I made it here today. Mom has a selfie of another one of us, but she decided to save it for next week.

I have my tracker on my collar, which is why it looks so bulky. It doesn’t bother me. Mom got me the “I Have Seizures” tag when I returned from my walkabout. It’s in addition to my regular I.D. tag.

So, I have my paws crossed that my girlfriend Noelle (Friends Furever) likes my selfie. Do you think she will?

Note to Subscribers

When our e-mail went kablooey about ten days ago, it messed with our subscriber notifications of posts. Mom’s been tinkering with the settings trying to get it working again, but as of Saturday it still wasn’t. If you did or didn’t get an e-mail notification of this post, can you please let us know in the Comments. I am uncrossing and recrossing my paws with the hope this feature has decided to work again. If we find out it hasn’t, I know what Mom will be doing today.

For Your Amusement

Dad made a short video of Cooper Murphy and me playing yesterday morning that I think you’ll enjoy. If you’d like to see it, click on the Instagram mouse in our sidebar. I’ll just say that Cooper Murphy was being much more tolerant of me than usual.

Hopping Time

Finally! Of course, by now you all know the procedure for hopping. We have no idea what happened last week as to why the gallery of selfies ended up on a separate page from our post. Mom does think, however, that she has corrected that problem! With everything that’s been happening lately with the blog and e-mail, we think Kizmet is getting up at night and playing with the computer. We’ll have more about that in a future post.

Anyhoo, I sure hope you’ll join me today with your own selfie. You know you want to show everyone who stops by just how cute you are. And invite a few friends to join in the fun. We love meeting new anipals.

Thanks for stopping by today. Your friendship and support are so important when it comes to keeping Mom engaged and wanting to post about us.

Purrs and paw-pats, Sawyer (with whisker kisses for Noelle)
