GOLDEN GIBBS

Caturday Art

Gibbs is decked out in gold today for Caturday Art

A black and white cat in a cat tree in a golden frame and art from the Painnt app.

To create today’s art I used the Punch effect from Painnt with vivid coloring and added a frame from favpng.

Here’s this week’s puzzle.

Gibbs will be joining Athena Cat Goddess Wise Kitty for her Caturday Art blog hop. To do the same, click on her badge.

Thanks for visiting us today. Please don’t forget to come back tomorrow to participate in our Sunday Selfie blog hop. It’s Flag Day, so we might do something fun to celebrate. Obviously, that is not a requirement to join in the fun.

Hope to see you tomorrow.

TWO HANDSOME GINGERS & FILL-INS

Feline Friday

Yesterday, I was fortunate enough to spend a couple of hours with the two ginger, tiny terrorists. They, however, are not so tiny anymore. I had hoped they might remember me, but they did not. It took them a little while to warm up to me, but they eventually did.

A collage with three handsome cats: a ginger and white tabby, a ginger tabby and a white and brown tabby.

Clockwise from the upper left corner: Oscar, Oliver, Oscar & Oliver, older brother Winston.

They also have a older sister named Allie.

I cannot believe how big and handsome these two have become. They were such little imps. Here’s a bit of a reminder.

Handsome ginger and white kitten.

Like Gibbs and Tali, they both find water fascinating. They taught themselves how to turn on the kitchen faucet, which their mom, Pam, has to keep fastened with a zip tie.

The boys will be participating in the Feline Friday blog hop hosted by messymimi’s meanderings. To join, click on the badge below.

Friendly Fill-Ins

The Friendly Fill-Ins blog hop is hosted each Friday by Ellen (15 And Meowing) and Lorianne (Four-Legged Furballs). They publish the fill-in sentences on their blogs each Thursday. To participate in the hop, click on the badge at the left. Stinky kindly completed fill-in #3 this week. I used teal italics to complete the sentences. Any explanatory information is in parentheses.

1. I’d like to learn how to play backgammon.

2. Something I tried to make that was an epic fail was one of Cat Scout Sammy’s (Ellen’s now angel) Easter craft projects at Scouts. (We were supposed to cover plastic eggs with strips of cloth. I never could get the strips to stick.)

3. Stinky: I want to design an epic adventure for Periwinkle and myself. (If anyone has any suggestions, please let Stinky know in the comments.)

4. A variety of flavored twizzlers is a special treat I get from The Cheese Shop in Stuarts Draft, VA. (It is Virginia’s largest Amish-style bulk foods store.)

Thank you for stopping by to visit today. We will be back tomorrow with some Caturday Art.

CATCHING UP WITH OLIVER & OSCAR

Somewhat Wordy Wednesday

Collage with two ginger and white cats on a background of paw prints.

I received these recent photos of Oliver and Oscar a few days ago. These two were such tiny whippersnappers, I cannot believe how big they are now. And, so handsome too!

As it happens, I will see for myself just how they have grown today. My friend, Etna, and I will be visiting the boys and their mom. I am very excited to see them in person. As they went to their new home almost six months ago, I doubt they will remember me, but I am hoping they will. I definitely will be letting you know tomorrow how the visit goes. I suspect I will have more photos to share in future posts.

Though, this has been a bit wordy, Oliver and Oscar will be joining the Wordless Wednesday blog hop hosted by Sandee at Comedy Plus. You are able to do the same by clicking on the WW badge.

Thanks for visiting us today.

GIBBS & SPARROWS

Caturday Art

An art rendering of a black and white kitten staring out a window at two sparrows on a bird feeder.

Other than the catio, this window in the bedroom is the favorite spot of Kitties Blue for bird watching.

To create today’s art, I used the Olio effect from Painnt. I increased the contrast slightly and then added a frame from favpng.

Here’s a puzzle for all the jigsaw fans.

Sunday Selfies Reminder

I absolutely cannot believe that tomorrow is not only the last Sunday in May but also the last day of the month. The year is flying by. The older I get the faster the days and years pass. With any luck, this day will not slip by too quickly for me to convince one of the gang to snap a selfie.

Kitties Blue and I hope the day does not get past you before you can take a selfie and join us on tomorrow’s hop. We always enjoy seeing all your sweet faces each week, and really hope you will participate this week as well.

Thanks so much for visiting us today

ONLY A CAT WOULD BE COMFORTABLE

Feline Friday

A white and calico kitten on a cat tree with her head hanging down, but she is comfortable, as she is a cat!

I have created a bonus puzzle for today.

Thanks for stopping in today. We’ll be back tomorrow with some Caturday Art.

1. Meeting Dad Tom is the luckiest thing that ever happened to me.

2. Sometimes Gibbs is the most unusual item in my refrigerator

3. My ability not to procrastinate is lacking.

4. I have more than enough weeds in the yard from the recent rains.

Thank you for dropping by to join us today. We will be back tomorrow with some Caturday Art.

STAR OF THE SELFIES

Sunday Selfies: Week #614

A bi-eyed kitten is the star of the Sunday Selfies blog hop with a blue and gold star frame surrounding her photo.

Our little bi-eyed kitten, Tali, is the star of today’s Sunday Selfies hop. This is definitely the best photo we have gotten of her gorgeous eyes. Hope you like it. Tali, all her fursibs and I also hope you will share a selfie with us on the hop. Every single one of you is adorable and precious, and we and all your friends enjoy seeing you each week.

We do know this is a holiday weekend, and many humans have plans with family and friends, and so you may not be able to get here today. But as always, the hop will be available through Thursday.

Whether you hop or not, we always appreciate the visit and any comments you would like to leave.

Note About Caturday Art

I forgot to publish yesterday’s post at midnight and did not put it up until 5:30 p.m. yesterday. If you missed it, I explained about the Rick Springfield kiss for those who were curious about it. The art itself is pretty good, and a link to a jigsaw is there as well. If you are interested in checking it out, the link is at the bottom of this post.

Have an easy and relaxing Sunday!

FELINE FRIDAY WITH GIBBS & FILL-INS

Feline Friday

Gibbs spends a major amount of time glued to me, especially if he is sleeping.

Gibbs will be participating in the Feline Friday blog hop hosted by messymimi’s meanderings. To do the same, click on the badge below.

I was left to do all the fill-ins myself this week. I used teal italics to complete the sentences.

1. I would be willing to pay more for the perfect vacation.

2. I refuse to spend money on fast food.

3. My guest room is a bit chaotic.

4. A fun fact about me is that I was kissed by Rick Springfield.

Thanks for stopping in today. We’ll be back tomorrow with some Caturday Art.

CATCHING UP WITH OSCAR & OLIVER & FILL-INS

Feline Friday

Two tabby cats playing with a track toy and catching up.

Gibbs and Tali’s brothers, Oscar and Oliver, are thriving in their forever home. I wish I could get updates on their other four siblings.

We have the same orange track toy. When all the kittens were here, I had the toy in their enclosure. Oscar and Oliver have one as well and seem to still enjoy paying with it.  It also is one of Gibbs favorite toys.

Oscar and Oliver will be participating in the Feline Friday blog hop hosted by messymimi’s meanderings. To do the same, click on the badge below.

I had some help filling in this week from both Tali and Audrey. We all used teal italics to complete the sentences.

1. I think the word or phrase, “it is what it is” is overused.

2. Tali: I am embarrassed to admit that I bit my mom’s leg through the covers and bedspread, punctured her skin and left teeth marks.

3. Audrey: I wish I could convince Mom and Dad to give us treats more often.

4. I could identify each cat by their paw steps even if I were blindfolded.

That’s it for today. Thanks for stopping in to see us. Kitties Blue and I will return tomorrow with some Caturday Art.

HOW TO LIVE SPARK & A GIBBS’ AWWW

Awww Mondays

White and black cat on a person's chest on Awww Mondays.

This was Mother’s Day at our house. It continues as I type this. Gibbs is lying across both my arms with his rear paws on my chin. He is sound asleep.

Gibbs will be participating in the Awww Mondays blog hop at Comedy Plus. If you would like to join them there, click on the Awww badge.

Sparks

Photo of a kitten in a cat tree on a catio with a quote from George Washington Carver: "How far you go in life depends on your being tender with the young, compassionate with the aged, sympathetic with the striving and tolerant of the weak and strong. Because someday in your life you will have been all of these."

Being of a certain age, this Spark really spoke to me. I suspect it speaks to many of you as well. Tali, being one of the Kitties Blue youngsters, is presenting the Spark. The photo is from April 6, so Tali was quite a bit smaller than she is now.

Sparks is the creation of Annie from McGuffy’s Reader. It began as a blog hop, created by our friend. Annie stated when she began Sparks, “I believe we are meant to be lights in this world. If we allow our light to shine, we can see where we are going. It is then that we can begin to truly see each other clearly. Together, we can light up the entire world.”

The Adventures of Periwinkle & Stinky

Tomorrow our two adorable tabbies will be adventuring again. I have absolutely no idea what Stinky has planned, but I am certain it will be fun. You’ll be able to find them right here, and I know they will be looking for you. So, please plan to join them.

Our Angel Sawyer continues to live through these adventures as his alter-ego Stinky, and it would mean so much to Mom Sharon, Noelle and myself if you would continue to follow our two favorite, cartoon tabby cats.

Thanks for stopping in to see us today. We always appreciate your visits and support.
