“Are those broiled birds hiding in here?”

screen-shot-2016-08-31-at-8-45-29-pmThis also is our entry in Angel Sammy’s Thoroughly Poetic Thursday event. The prompt letter for today’s poem is “B,” which is why we featured those broiled birds. Hope a song and birds meet the challenge.

brianshome-thankfulthursday-bloghopAnd finally, we are entering Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. Today we are thankful for all our wonderfully supportive blog friends, who have shown such love and compassion as we continue to grieve the loss of our sweet sisfur, Fiona.

We are grateful as well for all the snail mail and e-mail holiday cards. Thank you, friends.

That a wrap for today. We’ll see you tomorrow for Friendly Fill-Ins.

Oh I have loved that song since Scout Mau shared it back in 2013! Broiled birds definitely quality for the “B” poem today and in fact make me HUNGRY! We know how hard it is this time of year (or ANY time) to be grieving but it’s also hard not to find some “happy” among the cards, notes and messages from such caring friends as we all have in the blogosphere…..may you be comforted knowing WE ALL LOVE YOU.
