I have a goofy photo of Kizmet for today’s art
She was trying to stuff her fanny into an Amazon box amongst a pile of stuff on the kitchen island. When Dad Tom took her photo, she was not too pleased about it. That ear and the stink eye are a pretty good indication of her mood.
The effect is from the Painnt app and entitled, “Watercolourist 🌸🖌️.” I tinkered with some of the basic settings but only slightly. The frame is from the favpng app. Yes, I continue to use these two apps for my art. As I have a subscription to each and so many options are available, I rarely feel the need to use anything else.
Kizmet does have a jigsaw for those, like myself, who enjoy a puzzle.

National White Cat Day
We do not currently have a white cat; though, Tali comes close. We did, however, have one in the past. His name was Madison. He was a stray who came to the house and refused to leave. After six months, I finally gave up and invited him inside. Madison lived with us from April, 1999 to January 18, 2011. He was one of the best cats. Here is our handsome blue-eyed boy.
According to a report by Cornell University, 65 to 85 percent of white cats with blue eyes are deaf. Madison, Dad Tom and I were fortunate that Madison was not.

Sunday Selfies Reminder
It seems impossible that it is already September. Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas are just the blink of an eye away. I cannot say I am disappointed that summer is coming to an end. We have been having daily high temps in the upper 90s. Even the cats are staying inside, and you know how much they love their catio.
Anyhoo, all that is just to say, tomorrow is the first Sunday in September and time again for selfies. The Kitties Blue gang will be looking for you to join whichever one of them ends up being your host. All your other friends will be looking forward to seeing you as well.
We do realize this is another holiday weekend and your humans may have other plans. But, you need not worry. As you all know by now, the hop remains open through Thursday. Hope to see you whenever it is convenient for you.

Kizmet, the stink eye was deserved. although it did make a good artwork.
Madison was very handsome. We had a white cat named White Kitty. He was a long hair and very handsome.

Eastside Cats hasn’t yet had a white cat, but who knows what The Cat Distribution System will bring our way in the future.

I got my older son Adam a white cat for his 8th birthday after we moved out on our own. Adam definitely was and still is a “cat person.” Alex was a great cat, more like a dog, LOL!
