Here we are: the first Caturday of 2016. Those of you who follow us won’t be surprised to see who has claimed the premier Caturday Art spot for the new year.
It’s our favorite poser…Mauricio! Can a man cat be a diva? I am hoping Allie‘s mom is standing by when Allie sees this. She has a tendency to faint when her boyfriend is looking particularly handsome. And I think you’ll have to admit that he is that.
I used Pixlr Express this week to create our art. I wanted something that looked wintery and found four overlays, that when combined, gave me the appearance I desired.
This is our entry for Athena and Marie’s Caturday Art Blog Hop. If you haven’t tried your paw at some computer-created art or entered the blog hop, why not make that a goal for 2016. The internet abounds with free photo-editing applications. If anybody would like a copy of the list of these apps I have compiled, just let me know in the comments.

Tomorrow will be our first Sunday Selfies Blog Hop for 2016. If you haven’t tried a selfie yet, make that another goal for 2016. Lisbeth will be our host, and she challenges all the other tuxies in the blogosphere to join her. As most of you know by now, all anipals, not just cats, are welcome and encouraged to enter. We look forward to seeing what unusual critters hop over tomorrow.
Fiona asked me to thank everyone for their purrs and prayers and for posting about her on your blogs and Facebook. Though she is now being very picky about her treats and still won’t eat renal food, she’s been eating a bit more. Unfortunately she is really fighting us when it comes to the SubQ fluids. She hasn’t gotten her full amount the last two days, so she still needs those purrs and prayers. She will see Dr. Neel again on Monday and post an update on Tuesday.
Happy New Year, dearest friends.
Mau, you devil…what a smashing picture of you. Allie will be fainting at your sexy posing.
Shoko and Kali
Beautiful picture ! Purrs
LOVE this!!!! Mau looks so regal! Winter is his color scheme 🙂
What a handsome man-cat you are, Maruicio.
Have you tried giving Fiona buprenorphine prior to the sub-Q fluids. It works for some kitties to take the edge off their anxiety and calm them enough to tolerate the fluids. It didn’t work for our Eddie Bear, but it’s certainly worth asking your vet if it’s an appropriate option for Fiona.
I really like today’s winter art.
Mau is a handsome guy. I am praying for Fiona.
Gweat foto. We have heard a few men called divas, so we suppose it’s purrfectly normal. Mau be lookin’ very handsum. Have a gweat weekend.
Luv ya’

Absolutely gorgeous. I’m chilly just looking at your artwork!
What’s nice about that picture, Mau, is that you look cold without really being cold!

Looks like you are in a slapstick movie, handsome Mauricio. Allie is such a lucky girl..sigh.. Pawkisses and continue healing pawkisses and purrayers for Fiona 🙂 <3
Oh, Mauricio, I love your wintry picture! So handsome and festive!
We still purr and pray for Fiona every day! I am especially praying that she comes around to the sub-Q fluids. My Rosie despised her daily fluids at first. She would squirm and kick and tell us off – at that point it took two (sometimes three!) sets of hands to administer her fluids, and she would run off and hide afterwards. It broke my heart, but I was determined to give her the treatment. And in her case persistence paid off, because before long she resigned herself to it, especially after learning that the fluids meant cuddles and rewards. For her last year or more, I was able to give Rosie her fluids all by myself, from beginning to end, because she had become a good little pro at sitting still for them. Purrs and prayers to Fiona, you, and your entire family!
That is a lovely wintry look! I am keeping purring for Fiona.
mauricio you are so adorable fiona please eat your food and take your meds we all love you and want you to get better sending zen hugs and prayers
Thanks for the warning. Mom was holding Allie when she saw this so she didn’t hurt herself when she fainted!
Dearest Mau….you are SOOOOO Handsome!
Love,
Allie
That is really cool art. I especially like the snowflakes falling over the top of the art. Oh the art work is good too, I didn’t mean to indicate otherwise, but the snow just adds to it. What a handsome model. M says she would love a list of art sites. Thank you. ladycat3.04@gmail.com
Ooh! This is really nice! Wishing you wonderful things this year, and only happy ones!
Keep those toesies warm pal!
Mauricio looks so handsome and debonair!
We are sending lots of purrs to the lovely Fiona and the Sub Q Fluid giver, too.
That’s a great art photo, Maurico!! I hope you’re not too cold – just Chill!!
Beautifully artistic shot of Mau and I’m SURE Allie will definitely faint when she sees it! As for dear Fiona, so sorry she’s not “with the program” on her fluids and eating…..it’s just a huge adjustment – maybe she’s just taking her time getting there! We hope so as we know she NEEDS to eat better and get the subQ treatments too. Sending POTP…..always…….
Hugs, Sammy
That is such cool art! I don’t have a selfie yet for Sunday – I need to get one done! Unless there is something lying around I’ve forgotten about…
Something about tuxedos make them so photogenic! I have more pictures on my phone of my tuxie TC than I have of my two gingers! Admittedly, TC is such a love bug and really wants my attention!
Don’t feel bad about Fiona not getting her full amount. If she is getting most of it, that’s pretty good! My Punkin doesn’t get his full amount either. I had to resort to giving him half at a time.
Happy New Years!
Love the wintery look,Happy New Year!xx Speedy
You look furry regal there, Mauricio!
But do not get chilled, MOL!!
