Easy Like Sunday
EASY LIKE SUNDAY WITH CALISTA JO AND GIULIETTA
This appears to be Calista Jo’s and Giulietta’s plan for today. Granted Giulietta is a big girl (foreground) at 13 pounds 7 ounces, but Calista Jo weighs in at only one ounce less. Giulietta, appears to dwarf Calista, but I suspect it is a combination of perspective, sleeping position and FLOOF!
As you can see Giulietta wants to use C.J. as a pillow, but C.J. is pushing her away with her paws. It does not seem to disturb her in the least.
I am still in the midst of computer chaos; though, we have managed to visit a few of you. Hope wherever you are and whatever you are doing today is easy. Unlike the furballs, I suspect I will be unable to take it easy for sometime to come.
EASY LIKE SUNDAY: BREAKFAST IN BED
Who doesn’t like breakfast in bed on a Sunday morning? I sure wish the kitties would bring me my breakfast there. It wouldn’t even need to be every weekend.
I must confess, these photos of Fiona were not necessarily taken on a Sunday. Fiona actually has breakfast in bed most mornings. Spoiled…you bet!
When Fiona didn’t come down for breakfast in the mornings, her breakfast would go in the fridge. It would usually just dry out and eventually get thrown away. Even if she did come to breakfast, she often didn’t eat. She would either ‘bury” her bowl or one of the others would nose her out of it. It finally became easier to take her food to her and let her eat it or not. When she does turn up her nose at it, the food is discovered eventually and eaten by one of the other seven. But she gets to make the decision to eat or not to eat without the threat of her food being stollen away.
Hope somebody serves you breakfast in bed this morning whether you are a human or a cat. But you will need to excuse me now, it’s time for Fiona’s breakfast.
EASY LIKE SUNDAY: HEAT SEEKER
We had planned to do a wrap-up today from The Queen of Hearts Dance as well as all the other Valentine’s Day activities, but Mom said we are going to do that tomorrow ’cause we’ve been “sitting” on this post since last Sunday.
The humans are off playing Cuteheads* today. They are helping kitty, Audrey, return to Florida as her adoption didn’t work out in Northern Virginia. We’ll let you know more about her later in the week.
Wishing you all a warm, snuggly and Easy Sunday.
Purrs and paw-pats, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo

EASY LIKE SUNDAY WITH GIULIETTA & FIONA
Most of you know that we are inseparable. Mom has posted photos of us snuggled together on one ham-mick, the cat tree, the rug and many other places. Today is no different.
We realize Sunday is almost over, but we have been taking our Easy in the upstairs bathroom in this exact spot not only today, but also for several days. And Mom figures we’ll be here tomorrow and probably straight through until next Sunday.
So why are we camped out here? It’s the warmest room in the house! We’re cats. That’s what we do.
You may have noticed that we were both sleeping when Mom started snapping the photos. Giulietta never did wake-up, and I wasn’t fully awake until the last photo. A pox upon the human for disturbing me.
Hope y’all are having an Easy Sunday or are enjoying a Super Bowl pawty somewhere! Unless you are a Seahawk fan, we suspect you are not enjoying the game itself and may be planning to switch to “Downton Abbey” at 9.m. (EST only) as our humans are.
Purrs and paw-pats, Fiona (and Giulietta)
p.s. In case you were wondering, those are Mom’s navy blue pants on which we are sleeping. Well, they were navy. MOL! Oh, yeah, and that humongous paw belongs to Giulietta.
EASY LIKE SUNDAY WITH FIONA
Yeah, I am taking it easy today, but it’s not as if I have a choice. Although we are supposed to have two days with a high temperature of right around 40 degrees F, that warmth is taking it’s darn sweet time getting here.
So here I lie…waiting. And, as you can see, I am none too happy about it! I do, however, have some particularly nice toes. Don’t you think?
Purrs and Paw-pats, Fiona
In other news, please send out all your purrs and prayers to the family of Prancer Pie, including fursibs, Princeton and Precious. P.P., as we liked to call him, tragically went to the RB on Saturday. We had expectations that his health was improving and were devastated when we read of his passing.
Also, if you can help STOP (Stop the Overpopulation of Pets, Inc.) Rescue in Mansfield, Ohio, with purrs, prayers or donations, it would be so helpful. They need to raise $10,000 after losing their facility and at least three kitties in a devastating fire. Thirty-five cats were saved, but another seven or eight are still missing. We made a donation in memory of Prancer Pie. Click here to read more about this or to donate at GoFundMe.
Whether it is warm or cold, sunny or snowy or something in between, hope your Sunday is an Easy one.
Thanks to Ann at Zoolarty for the lovely image of Prancer Pie.
EASY LIKE SUNDAY: FULL STOOLS
We know you all do it. We’ve seen plenty of you on your own blogs. And don’t even try to pretend you don’t know what we are talking about.
That’s right…stealing your human’s warm chair when they stand up. Even though we only have two humans, the kitchen has four stools. When the humans each lose the first seat they have warmed, they move on to an unoccupied stool. (Yes, we have trained them very well.) Of course, as soon as they arise again, they lose those stools to another two of us. You realize this means four of us have to remain on the heated kitchen floor or find another place to nap. So the arrangement isn’t ideal, but it still has us on the warm stools and the humans standing. S-C-O-R-E!
Wishing you all an easy and snoozy Sunday.
Purrs and hugs, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo
