Disclaimer: This was supposed to be a final post about Mom and Dad’s trip to BlogPaws. Because of a super busy schedule yesterday, they haven’t even unpacked all the kitty swag or assembled the prize Mom won from the hauspanther Cat Style Lounge. So…the final BlogPaws post will occur on Thursday. Please accept our apologies.
Tuesday Doozy of a Snoozy
Some of us were less than enthusiastic to see the humans when they arrived home Sunday evening. Even though it was time to eat and we were anxious for dinner, we had to give them a bit of the back-of-disrespect treatment (especially Astrid) for abandoning us to spend time with other anipals. But they won us over immediately when they got out this Kitty Kush catnip grinder and started making little piles of finely ground nip for each of us. Nirvana!
By yesterday morning all was back to normal…well almost. Our catio time was mostly nonexistent due to men with chainsaws occupying our backyard and noise polluting our neighborhood. They started the removal of a 50-foot elm tree shading Dad’s solar panels. That was halted when the torrential rain with thunder and lighting began. Not sure which caused the most noise, but we didn’t care for either, and those tree stealers will be back tomorrow.
At least for Mauricio and Astrid, the day was not a washout. They enjoyed a Tortie/Tuxie Tuesday Doozy of a Snoozy in Mom’s lap. Astrid even added some precious, pink toe beans for all the Toesy Tuesday fans.
Mau is never happy when he has to share a lap as you can see from the expression on his face. But 90 purrcent of the time, Astrid will try to join him if he has claimed one of the human’s laps. He’s tolerating her as most of her body is on the counter. Mom is also purrleased by that as together they weigh more than 22 pounds. bet you can guess who the heavy-weight is!
Thank You
Thanks to everyone who joined Frank for our Sunday Selfies Blog Hop. We are still working on visiting each blog and promise to get to all of you by the end of the week.
Purrs and paw-pats, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo
Oh that doesn’t sound fun with those tree stealers! We bet you all are so happy that Mom and Dad are back home safe and sound, that’s a precious picture of you two with Mom Janet.
A big thank you for mentioning Kitty Kush catnip…..always fresh no mess! I hope Astrid enjoyed a blissful afternoon enjoying Kitty Kush.
Such cuties 🙂 My Sammy weighs 20 pounds all by himself.
We bet your mom is so happy to have an arm full of Tortie and Tuxie after being away from you! Hope all was quiet today!
Homecoming is a good reason to relax and snooze!
They’re stealing your trees? That’s just wrong. Ashton is still annoyed with the head peep for going away. Last year when she went to BlogPaws, it was over a week before she came back to bed to sleep, and it looks likely to be the same this year.
You both look very cosy sharing your mum. I can never be mad with my mum when she has deserted me. As soon as I see her I roll over and start purring.
You both look very cozy there on your mom’s lap. We couldn’t stay mad at the mom for very long either.
You look very cosy on your mom’s lap ! Purrs
You two look mighty cozy with your Mom!!!
Congratulations on your prize! And don’t stress with blogging. Thank you for hosting the selfie sunday!

Love that photo of Mau and Astrid! So sweet!!! The KCC gang was surely happy to have Sophie and I home. The boys gave Sophie a very enthusiastic greeting that included sniffs and a bath. And as soon as I sat down on the couch, Delilah and Sampson jumped in my lap. It feels good to be missed!!!
And for the record, Sophie slept in her carrier the entire way home!!! I think she was pretty worn out… MOL!
Sampy sends Astrid 2034987206349758 kisses, and we all send lots of love!
We opted not to give mom the cold shoulder this trip. We showed her right away that we all missed her even though we didn’t get any goodies until the next day. We highly approve of the nip in the grinder too!
You make playing on the laptop much more interesting!
Sweeties two to a lap is always a bonus 🙂 Mau looks super chipper about the whole thing MOL MOL..but hey a catnip grinder…bring on the goodtimes ! paw pats Cleo xxxx
WOW! A double-lap-nap! That’s a lot of purring and fur in one lap! I know you’re happy that your Mom and Dad are back home guys……I always was thrilled when my Mom and Dad picked me up at the kennel after deserting me for a while. Can’t wait to see all the swag they brought back from Blogpaws!
Hugs, Sammy
We love that photo of both kitties on da lap! Maurico and Astrid, you are not only cute but good sports. WE would never do that though. When one of us has achieved “the lap” the other knows better than to, hah, “encroach.” There would be, um, “heck” to pay. Enjoy it while you can, is all we can say! Great photo!
I hate loud noises, too! I BOL a lot when there’s a noisy truck or leaf blower in the neighborhood. I’m glad you got to snuggle with your human. there’s nothing like snuggle time!
I can’t imagine how your humans’ heads must feel, having to deal with that noise after coming home exhausted from the conference! My human enjoyed seeing them and wishes she had been able to spend more time with them!
All dat noise don’t sound like fun.
OOOH!!
Thunderboomers are scary things, and tree stealers are no fun either.
Are the channels on your burd TV going to be deleted too?
Hope the solar panels will get some good sun though, after all of that you kitties had to endue…maybe they will power up heated beds fur all of you kitties, MOL!
