Awww Mondays
Sometimes, it is necessary to dive deep into the photo archives to present a photo for the Awww Mondays blog hop. This one today is from November 9, 2004, and features two tuxie kittens many of you should recognize. And, if you are a fan of toe beans, you should love this photo!
Misty May and Mau were the most awww-dorable kittens and inseparable as babies. Though angels now, they have not been forgotten here and are loved no less than when they were with us in the furs.

Sparks
I am continuing with the theme of peace for today’s Spark. I absolutely do not think we can remind ourselves often enough how important it is to strive for peace is our troubled country and world.
The author of today’s Spark, Thích Nhất Hạnh, was born Nguyễn Xuân Bảo in 1926. He was a Vietnamese Thiền Buddhist monk, peace activist, author, poet and teacher and was known as the “father of mindfulness”’ Nhất Hạnh was exiled from South Vietnam in 1966 after expressing opposition to the war and refusing to take sides. In 1967, Martin Luther King, Jr. nominated him for a Nobel Peace Prize. Nhất Hạnh died in 2022 at the age of 95.
Sparks is the creation of Annie from McGuffy’s Reader. It began as a blog hop, created by our friend. Annie stated when she began Sparks, “I believe we are meant to be lights in this world. If we allow our light to shine, we can see where we are going. It is then that we can begin to truly see each other clearly. Together, we can light up the entire world.”
The Adventures of Periwinkle & Stinky
