COOPER MURPHY’S VALENTINE SELFIE

Sunday Selfies: Week #443

I feel extremely fortunate today, as I get to share a special Valentine selfie with all of you. It’s a bit out of focus, but I think you can still enjoy my gingery goodness.

I know Mom usually only provides you with a jigsaw puzzle on Caturdays, but I convinced her to make one today as well.

Hopping Time

So that’s it for me. I’m a cat of a few words today. I just need to invite you to post a selfie and then join me and all your other friends here on the hop. You can do that any time between now and midnight Thursday.

And don’t forget to check out the Great American Rescue Bowl (GARB), formerly the Kitten Bowl. It will air today at 10:30 a.m. ET on the Great American Family channel. Not only will it feature kittens needing homes, but also puppies as well as adult dogs and cats.

Thanks for joining us today. We totally appreciate your friendship and support.

Purrs and paw-pats, Cooper Murphy

KIZMET CATURDAY ART

Caturday Art

Kizmet Caturday Art: Back of a grey cat's head turned orange and covered in bubbles for an art project.

Our sweet angel, Mauricio, was a sports enthusiast. He always watched volleyball with his dad. Kizmet is our current sports fan. She doesn’t discriminate and enjoys all sports. In this photo for Caturday Art, she was sitting on her dad’s lap watching with him on his iPad.

I used the Arbol de Vida effect from Painnt and an overlay from piZap to create the art.

And, of course, there’s a puzzle for those of you who enjoy them.

Sunday Selfies Reminder

Tomorrow is Super Bowl Sunday. That means your humans most likely will be busy. With that in mind, we suggest you get your selfie snapped today and ready to upload first thing Sunday morning.

After you’ve joined the hop, grab your favorite treats and settle into your favorite easy chair to watch the revamped Kitten Bowl. Last year there was no Kitten Bowl due to the Hallmark channel canceling the program. Renamed the Great American Rescue Bowl (GARB), it will air on Sunday at 10:30 a.m. ET on the Great American Family channel. Not only will it feature kittens needing homes, but puppies as well as adult dogs and cats. Check to see if your television provider offers this channel. If not, you can view it on a variety of steaming channels.

Thanks for joining us today and please do come back tomorrow. You know we love seeing your adorable faces.

KITTIES BLUE CUDDLING

Feline/Friendship Friday

Kitties Blue (Sawyer and Kizmet) cuddling

Our Kitties Blue youngsters are cuddling again. I expect we’ll continue to see more of this as winter continues.

They’re also participating in the Feline Friday and Friendship Friday blog hops at Comedy Plus and Create With Joy, respectively.

Friendly Fill-Ins: Week #295

Sawyer and I shared fill-in duty this week. I’m always thankful for his help. We both used teal italics for our fill-ins. Additional information is in parentheses.

1. Sawyer: My girlfriend Noelle’s purr is music to my ears.

2. My favorite kind of soup is Dad Tom’s with chicken, vegetables and beans.

3. Sawyer: If I were going to migrate or hibernate for the winter, I would go to Florida and stay with my girlfriend Noelle. (Mom would go to Tortola, BVI.)

4. I would start a sanctuary for unadoptable cats if I had the property and money.

Friendly Fill-Ins is a blog hop hosted by Ellen (15 And Meowing) and Lorianne (Four-Legged Furballs). They provide the four sentences with blanks for your responses. You can find those on their blogs on Thursdays. To join the hop, click on the fill-ins badge.

We’ll be back tomorrow with some Caturday Art.

THE ADVENTURES OF PERIWINKLE & STINKY PART XVII

Kitten Bowl 2020

Periwinkle and Stinky’s Adventure took place on Sunday, and it was a big one. As they were both attending the Super Bowl Party at the Tabby Cat Club, they hopped into Stinky’s teleportation tunnel there and headed out to the grandest event of the day…the Hallmark Channel’s Kitten Bowl VII.

They both already had secured their Kitten Bowl trading cards and were hoping to meet lots of the participants and exchange cards. They had selected the Little Longtails as the team to cheer on to victory.

Stinky had managed to secure seats right on the 50 yard line, and the tabbies took their seats just as the first play-off game began.

It was an amazing first game between the Longtails and North Shore Bengals with the Longtails squeaking in the victory 40 to 34 at the the last second.

Stinky and Periwinkle were hoarse from cheering and gave each other high paws and hugs at the end of the game.

During the break between play-off games, in a gravely voice, Periwinkle said, “Stinky, I think I need to get a big drink of water. Let’s see if we can find a fountian.”

“That’s a great idea. Then we need to hurry back for game two,” replied Stinky.

“Which teams are playing in game two?” asked Periwinkle.

“The Courageous Cougars are playing the Last Hope Lions,” replied Stinky as they retook their seats.

“Who are we cheering for?” asked Periwinkle.

“The Courageous Cougars,” said Stinky.

The tabbies watched the next game while holding paws and cheering enthusiastically, especially when the Cougars won.

As the half-time show began, Stinky led Periwinkle from the bleachers.

“Aren’t we going to watch the half-time show, Stinky?”

“Yes, but first I want you to meet someone.”

“As they approached a large man, he waved and hollered, “Hi, Stinky. Is his your girlfriend, Periwinkle?”

Stinky, nodded and introduced Periwinkle to Boomer Esiason. “Periwinkle, this is my friend, Boomer. He’s a retired football quarterback and a network color commentator. Most importantly, however, he became the Commissioner of the FFL (Feline Football League) in 2015 for Kitten Bowl II and still holds that position today. He has provided analysis and commentary for all the Kitten Bowls since Kitten Bowl II.

Periwinkle blushed as she said, “hello,” and Mr. Esiason picked them up and talked to them about their adoptions and families.

The Adventures of Periwinkle & Stinky

Stinky’s mom was watching the Kitten Bowl at home and was surprised to see the two tabbies with Mr. Esiason and was able to snap a photo.

After several minutes the tabbies excused themselves to return to their seats for the reminder of the halftime show.

Before they got to their seats, Kitten Bowl host, Beth Stern, asked them if they would like to purrticipate in the halftime show. Of course, they jumped at the chance.

Afterward they watched the championship game between the Little Longtails and the Courageous Cougars.

It was another exciting game, and the tabbies cheered and cheered for the 2019 champs, the Longtails. With just seconds to go,  however, the Courageous Cougars got three quick touchdowns and won the championship trophy.

Periwinkle was disappointed, but Stinky reminded her that all the purrticipants were winners, as they would be getting their furever home as a result of the Kitten Bowl.

That made both tabbies very happy. As they walked to their tunnel to return to the Tabby Cat Club, they had the opportunity to meet one of the winning team members and see the Kitten Bowl trophy. They were both very impurrsed.

The Adventures of Periwinkle & Stinky

On the way home, the tabbies discussed their favorite players and how exciting it was to meet Mr. Esiason. They agreed it was one of their most exciting adventures. They also made a pact to attend the 2021 Kitten Bowl.

When the tabbies arrived at the Tabby Cat Club, they said their good-byes with hugs and whisker kisses and entered their individual tunnels for the trips to their homes.

The End

KITTEN BOWL 2020 SELFIE

Sunday Selfies: Week #286

Cooper Murphy is your host today for our Sunday Selfies blog hop. He is sharing the trading card he made for the Hallmark Channel’s Kitten Bowl VII.

Kitten Bowl

If you would like to make your own Kitten Bowl trading card, click on Cooper Murphy’s card. There are four teams from which you can select. And don’t forget to watch the Kitten Bowl at 2 p.m. ET on the Hallmark Channel.

Both Sawyer and Mau made trading cards as well and want to share them. Sort of bonus Sunday Selfies from the Kitties Blue boys.

Sawyer joined the same team as his girlfriend, Noelle, and he’s really hoping they’ll accept him, as it is the Little Longtails, and he has no tail. He’s hoping they won’t discriminate against him. Mau joined the team Allie selected.

We are looking forward to seeing all your selfies. Obviously they do not need to be in the form of Kitten Bowl trading cards. But if you’d like them to be, that would be fantastic. The link to add your post is below.
