WATERCOLOR MAURICIO

Watercolor Caturday Art

So here he is again…the ever-present, front-and-center, in-your-face, pesto supremo, blog hog, Mauricio. I guess if you are the cat always begging for attention, you are bound to have your photo snapped over and over and over and over again.

I did very little to the original photo this week. I added the Warm Colors Watercolor filter and the inner, striped frame using funny.pho.to. I then added the outer border in Picasa. I liked the colors after the first filter and so decided to stop there. I didn’t want to obscure Mau’s tongue and paw too much as everyone likes a good paw or tongue shot. And here you get the double whammy!

watercolorThis is the original, up-close-and-personal photo of Mauricio, lying next to my laptop having a bath. Of course, he is on the kitchen counter, making his presence known.

Sunday Selfies Blog Hop

Cat4-001Sunday Selfies…we can’t enough. Join us this week and show us your stuff!

Last week tied for our second best week ever in terms of participation. We had 61 entries (including our own). To find out if we had any unusual critters joining us, you’ll need to stop by again tomorrow. We unveiled our second two-fur last week. Tomorrow’s host has not been selected as yet. All the girls, however, have gotten together and said that it won’t be Mauricio. They don’t care which of them he tries to snuggle up to.

We’ll also announce the winners of the giveaway for copies of Max Cryer’s book, The Cat’s Out of the Bag.
