DSC01863Friday was Mom’s birthday. We wanted to make sure she knew we hadn’t forgotten so sent Giulietta in very early to purr her special rendition of “Happy Birthday” into Mom’s ear. Mom was delighted with the singing, but Giulietta is a bit of a “load,” and we suspect that is actually what woke her up. Did you notice that The Cat on My Head, Misty May, is in her proper place (upper right corner of the photo)?

DSC01864Mom is really old. We don’t want to embarrass her by telling her actual age, so we found a website,, where we could calculate her age in cat years. Mom is only 12 years old! Who knew? That’s younger than Lily Olivia. Now we know why Lily thinks she can boss Mom around.

SCAN0021And check out this great card we got her. Remind you of anything that happened around here recently? If you missed the mousey story, click here for Part 1 and here for Part 2. The card is 3-D, and we were so considerate, we gave it to her with that piece of cat fur attached!

Dad gave her a cool gift: Adobe Photoshop Elements 12. We are expecting great things from her on the blog in the future. Best not hold your breath. Remember, she’s now 12 and losing brain cells everyday! And she didn’t have that many when she began this whole blogging experiment.

We had planned a post about Astrid for tomorrow, but as our blankety-blank server is down again, and we are using a work-around to bring this to you, we won’t be back until Wordless Wednesday. Wonder if our server will be? Astrid will just have to wait until next Tuesday.

Purrs and paw-pats, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo
