Friendly Fill-Ins: Week #81
1. I start to decorate for Christmas/Hanukkah whenever I can get to it. It takes me about two weeks, so I hope to begin this coming Monday.
2. I prefer a faux Christmas tree because I like to leave it up until at least Epiphany; though, the rule is it must be down by Groundhog Day. We went to a faux tree after we discovered second cat Steamer was allergic and to keep my arms from breaking out in a rash whenever I decorated and undecorated the tree. One of the other reasons for a faux tree is that I drove Tom crazy every year trying too find the perfect tree!
3. The best thing about the holidays is sitting quietly in the living room and relaxing with just the tree and garlands lit.
This is a blog hop hosted each week by friends, Ellen (15 And Meowing) and Annie (McGuffy’s Reader). You can find the sentences t compete on their blogs on Thursday and enter the hop on Annie’s big on Friday. To join in the fun, click on the badge below.

Great answers! The cats here love to RE-decorate. George has proven to be pretty creative. I look forward to seeing what Bee & Clyde think! HA! Love you guys! xoxo
haha..Love the fill-ins.

Thank you for participating in the fill-ins, great answers. We leave our tree up through Epiphany as well and usually past that. Sorry, but I can’t say no to Black Friday, my mom and I have a tradition to always go , but we don’t leave until 7 AM. Have a nice weekend! XO
We love your fillins…particularly #2. We have an artificial tree – the last few years Mommy has lived where you can’t have a real tree.
Mommy has been bringing Christmas stuff out. She brought out 2 fake poinsettias on Wednesday and then yesterday she brought out the tree. It is ony 3 feet tall and she put it on the floor. I only knocked it down twice and I have been “flossing” my teeth by chewing on the bristles!
I can’t wait to see what she brings out today!

We see you there, Lisbeth! That’s an adorable picture … even if what you might’ve been doing to the decorations isn’t adorable 😉 We’re with you on Black Friday … just say no and stay home! There’s nothing we want or need THAT badly! Happy Thanksgiving a day late 🙂
My mom starts decorating right after Halloween …just a little at a time so dad doesn’t notice right away. We have an artificial tree but mom buys real wreaths and places one on the kitchen door and one upstairs on the bedroom door.
My beautiful Ms Lisbeth I’m thrilled you like to help with holiday decorating too. Mom and I often discuss the placement of ornaments.
Hugs, lots of love and kisses to Ms Lisbeth.

We’re with you. Say no to Black Friday…unless it involves a black cat. 🙂
Hello! We said the same thing about our artificial tree – so much easier to deal with and my Mom always wanted a perfect REAL tree – this way she gets that every year and it always has lights on it too! HAHA My Mom will start decorating this week too – she’s anxious to see what I think of everything (so am I!). HAPPY FRIDAY!
Love, Teddy
My parents always decorated the Christmas tree on Christmas eve! I like your slow entry and long savoring of the season.

We are decorating today. Mom avoids black Friday like the plague. Hope you are all having a nice relaxing Friday!

Christmas isn’t always a big thing for us though we do love this time of year.
A nice quiet one with loved ones is the purrfect Christmas for us.

We start decorating December 1 – my momma has a late November birthday, so she duzn’t like Christmas stuff until her birthday is over.
