Well, today may be Thankful Thursday, but we can state unequivocally, “We are not!” Depending on when you read this, Dr. Neel and Tamika are on their way here, are here or have been here. Today is our yearly Round-Up. We will be weighed, examined, vaccinated and have pawticures. Lily Olivia, Mauricio and Misty May will have blood drawn for senior panels as well.
We actually are an itty bitty bit thankful. We don’t have to get stuffed into PTUs and hauled across town to the vet office. And, of course, we’ll have treats for which we are always thankful; though, we know we deserve them even when it isn’t Round-Up.
Fiona will be the fortunate kitty today. Dr. Neel is not going to vaccinate her. She thinks it will be too much of a strain on her system. We’ll all have our shots, and as she is only around us, so she should be safe. We’d say she’s a lucky girl, except for the fact it’s her CKD that’s letting her off the hook. And she gets stuck with a needle for subQ fluids every other day.
We all have been practicing our stink eye, including Fiona. We want to make certain to be in our best form.
Of course we can do much better than what we are showing you. After all, we didn’t want to peak too early!
Drop back by tomorrow when we will be sharing highlights and photos from today.
You can check out our previous round-ups on these posts:

Meows & purrs to you in your annual day of misery … realize that your staff needs to do this, too and human doctors find even nastier things to torture their patients with then those awful veterinarians. do.
thank COD all is ok!!! I thought something awful had happened! (sorry kitties, but you MUST have your check-ups and be glad that the Vet comes to YOU!!!)
Hope all went well!!!!
Hmm, I need to check into having my vet make a house call. They did say that since we have seven cats, we could request a “farm” visit. Not sure I like that term! LOL! But it might be easier, if not cheaper. Thanks for the reminder! 😀
guys….dee pendin on when ewe see thiz~~~~ ewe R welcome ta hide out in trout towne
coz we can guarunteez ewe, noe one will find ewe…..noe one noez WEAR trout towne iz…knot even uz…& we live here 🙂 ♥♥♥
Good luck everyone! We used to have a Vet that came to our house and it wasn’t any more fun…but not going in the car was okay.
We luv your pics! Baby Lilly just got her last FVRCP vaccine. She’s a happy kitten. Mom says Greyson is too old, 18, and he doesn’t need them anymore. He’s the only one that gets a break in our household. But don’t worry, he does get senior chemistries done annually. He’s the grandpaw and alpha cat in our household. MOL, Purrs
How great that you don’t have to leave the house! I know you all might not see it as great, but it really is! Purring and praying for all of you, and we look forward to checking in tomorrow to see the aftermath (and hopefully get all good news!). Purrs!
We don’t have a choice our vet doesn’t do home visits so Mum has to put us in our carriers in the car and take us to them. We are always much more chirpy when we are in the car on the way home!
Luv Hannah and Lucy xx xx
My kitties are jealous that you don’t have to leave the house-most don’t like car rides. Good luck!
That’s some good stink eye…! Hope all goes well! My kitties would love to have the docs come to them. Well, love is a strong word for having a vet poke and prod you. But you know what I mean.
Oh my!!! well i am sure you might not be too thankful sweeties but indeed at home is better..the four girls here had their trip and it was a very sweet song they sang…all the way to the stabby place..all got jabs..and as added insult two of the girls got dragged back yesterday for toofies out..more singing..but not on the way home..silence..i am in the dog house 😉 big hugs and loves Fozziemum xxx
Y’know, you guys are lucky not to get shoved into PTUs and carted off to some strange place. We wish we had a vet that came to our house. We purr all goes well for all of you.
You all are so lucky to have them come to you!
Since both TC and Gin Gin are not lightweights, and my husband sleeps till late morning because he works second shift, it’s my job to cart them to the vet. Separately! Mol
And since we said goodbye to both Spicy and Punkin in the last year, the house seemed so empty with only two so 2 1/2 weeks ago, we adopted another male. 5 year old Munchie!
It’s so great that you have your wonderful vet who will come to the house and take care of all the checkups and fix-ups for everyone on the same day. Makes things a whole lot easier and with so many of you, your Mom and Dad would go nuts trying to round everyone up and stuff you into PTUs!!!! EEEEEEK! You need a bus to transport everyone! Will be anxious to hear how everyone does………
Hugs, Sammy
This shall prove to be a most interesting day…sorry you all will get the stabbies, and maybe some vampire work as well…but in the end it will soon be over till next year!
Hope the round up goes well!
I can see why your humans wouldn’t want to be carting you kitties around to a vet – there are way too many of you to handle! It takes both my human and her boyfriend to do just us three, if we all are being seen together. And while we don’t have too bad of a time (I did tricks last time I was at the vet, in fact), Binga always winds up getting mad at whichever kitties came along with her. I hope those who are having senior panels have good test results!
