Tuesday Doozy of a Snoozy
Dear Friends,
I have returned today to say thanks on behalf of Mom, Dad and myself for all your kind words, love, purrs, prayers and suggestions as we deal with my CKD.
In the past few months many of you have asked if I am getting a phosphorous binder. Yes. I have been since I was diagnosed. Mom, however, is changing to a different one as she recently read that I should not take one with magnesium. The one I have been taking does contain magnesium, so I’ll be starting on one without as soon as it arrives.
Mom has also ordered the Astro’s Oil. Dezi’s and Raena’s Mom, Audra, suggested. After reading about it, Mom has decided to give it a try.
Though my numbers are really quite bad, I haven’t been displaying the symptoms of CKD. I do not have bad breath, and I have not been throwing up. And though I was looking down in my selfie photo, I do not have a droopy head. I do not play like I used to, I whine a lot for attention and treats. I also sleep more. In my defense, it has been too stinking HOT to want to do anything else.
The photos I am sharing today are ones of me having a couple of snoozies in my dad’s lap. He is a great comfort to me when I am getting my fluids and medicines, and I am gravitating to him more and more.
Once again, please accept my sincere thanks for all your kindness and love. I’ll be keeping you posted on how I am doing.
In the meantime, please join us tomorrow for the fifth birthdays of Astrid and Lisbeth.
Purrs and paw-pats, Fiona the Feisty Fighter
We wish we could make this all go away for you, Fiona. You couldn’t be in better hands though.
We’re sending loads of purrs and prayers to you. Mom used to use Alternagel as a phosphorous binder for her crf kitties.

I am glad you are not having a lot of the symptoms and that you are feeling pretty good. I agree it is too hot right now to play. Very cute snuggle photos. XO
Snuggles are the best!!!
Oh, you look so cozy in Dad’s lap! That is the best place to be. You keep fighting on and we’ll keep sending our thoughts and prayers. ♥
You are a super special girl Fiona and we send non-stop purrs and prayers your way.
we are keeping you in our thoughts and prayers. Yes in reference to the heat, Cody has been sleeping way more than usual too! (((hugs)))

Purrayers and Paws Up Pretty Girl ! “Keep on keeping on !”
Well, Fiona, as my Rosie’s vet said once – it’s about the kitty, not the numbers. If you’re numbers are up but you feel and act good, then forget those numbers. You show those numbers who’s boss, Fiona! We appreciate you keeping us updated, Fiona, and we will of course continue purring and praying for you!
We continue to send you lots of purrs, Fiona.
Continued prayers and pats and purrs for you Fiona. Enjoy dad’s lap
Dear Fiona – you will always be in my prayers…..seems many of us have our health issues but just keep putting one paw in front of the other because we love our lives so much we do what we have to do to stay! You are so brave……and I hope all the new things your Mom is getting for you HELP. My Mom feels like we’re on the slippery slide here too – and I’m whiney and demanding and restless, but Mom is patient. We are lucky to have understanding humans! I know you want to stay in this wonderful life we have here just as I do – so let’s just make a pact to do that OK??? OK!!!!!!!
Love, Sammy
Way to fight, Fiona. Feeling OK is more important than numbers, any day. It sounds like you’re getting really good advice from everyone, and your humans are doing a pawesome job taking care of you. Sending lots of purrs your way, always!
Stay well, sweetie <3 <3 <3 Pawkisses for a healthy day 🙂 <3
We are sending many purrs and hope they will help make you feel much better Fiona. Take care.
What sweet nappin photos!
The heat can make anyone drowsy. Not having actual symptoms is what counts. Good luck!
I’m glad your humans are taking such good care of you, Fiona. I’m sending purrs your way every day.
You have no idea how happy it makes me to see you sign “Fiona the Feisty Fighter.” I’m so glad you haven’t given up and those pictures of you and dad are beautiful.
My heart goes out to you all. Chloe Jo does not display all symptoms either. Sometimes she seems better, but her numbers are bad. We do all we can, no matter what. I send you lots of love and hope. Always.
Oh Fiona, we send you the best healing purrs we have. Kisses and pawpats.
We’re glad you’re snuggling with your dad. It’s the best place to be. Kissies.
