Thoroughly Poetic Thursday
Another Thursday has rolled around, which means I have a poem for you based on an inspiration photo from those Two Spoiled Cats, Teddy and Angel Sammy. According to Mom Pam the photo is of an actual restaurant in the Philippines.

A Soggy Supper
Table for two … coming right up.
You might want to remove your shoes
or if you’d rather, I have galoshes.
Would you like a table in the splash
zone or one a bit further away?
Yes, the falls are there for you to play,
but someone should remain at the table
to protect your food when it arrives.
It can become soggy, which I don’t advise.
Here are your menus … the catch of the day is
whatever jumps from the falls.
I’ll be back in a jiffy to take your orders.

I realize the poem ends rather abruptly, but after several hours of thinking, I could not come up with a better ending.
Each week Angel Sammy transmits his poem from the Rainbow Bridge to Teddy for publication. He is absolutely one of our favorite poets, which is why we always suggest you head over to Two Spoiled Cats to read his poem. You can get there by clicking on the poetry badge. While there, check out the inspiration photo for next week and join us then in writing a poem.
Thankful Thursday
Each Thursday, Kitties Blue and I also like to share the things for which we are thankful and then participate in Angel Brian’s Thankful Thursday blog hop.
Sawyer traveled to and from the vet in total silence, per usual, and maintained his PTU 💩er status. I am so thankful to report, he did not get any poop on himself. After several bouts of diarrhea during yesterday’s seizure, his poor little butt probably could not have tolerated another scrubbing. (I know, TMI. Sorry!)
Sawyer, Dad Tom and I want to thank everyone who left purrs, prayers and POTP for Sawyer on yesterday’s post. I should get the results of his blood test with his phenobarbital level sometime later today.
Dad Tom and I are super thankful we had no mice sightings in the house this week. And, we are hoping it remains that way, as several days of rain begin again tomorrow.
Dad Tom and I had the opportunity to see a National Tour of the Broadway production of Chicago. It was exceptional!

Thank you so much for joining us today.

Charlee: “You get to have mice in your house? So lucky!”
Java Bean: “Ayyy, the humans don’t usually feel that way.”
Oona: “Oona hopes you have gotten a good report on Sawyer by now. She and the other cats send lots of purrs that he has no more seizures for a long time.”
Lulu: “And tail wags! Don’t forget the tail wags!”
That restaurant would be fun to go to, at least once.
Sawyer is still in my prayers, I hope he’s feeling better and back to eating.
That was a fun poem and yes, that’s very fresh catch of the day. Those were good thankfuls too and purrs to sweet Sawyer. Thanks for joining Angel Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
Poor Sawyer. Good job on the poem. XO
I bet the play Chicago was great to see! There’s never TMI for me…I used to work at the vet’s.
I can’t imagine going to that restaurant other than one time just for the novelty. So strange! Have a great weekend.
Sawyer,
I am proud of you for earning your PTU Pooper badge and NOT getting it on your furs. Only a pro can do that. I’m purring for no more seizures.
Love and whisker kisses,
Noelle
Gotta keep up your title, Sawyer.
Continued purrs for you, buddy.
Am thinking that sitting with one’s feet in water is a terrific way to stay cool in the heat, but not sure if having fishes swim past my toes would be very peaceful.
You did a GREAT job on the poem – it was a weird photo to be sure! As for our sweet Sawyer – I do hope you get news on his physical condition from the vet – that seizure sounds like it was a real whopper and took a toll on the sweet boy. Sending him and you hugs!
Pam and Teddy
I hope Sawyer feels better today.
That was a fun poem. I like water, but not that much!!
LOVE ‘whatever jumps from the falls’…hilarious.
I’m so sorry that Sawyer had such a bad seizure. Let’s hope he starts to eat better, and that he will get the required medicines that way.
That is an interesting place to have a restaurant. Not for me, thank you very much, LOL! Cute poem for the pic!
Those are great thankfuls! I’d be freaking out if I saw a mouse in my place!!
Please keep us posed on Sawyer <3 Sending purrs and love.
Interesting photo and good poem about it!
