Some Words on Wednesday
I know you are wondering what the title of this post is all about. Wasn’t Hug Your Cat Day just last Friday, May 30? Why yes it was … International Hug Your Cat Day. Today is National Hug Your Cat Day! That’s a lot of hugging, especially when cats are involved.
Normally, if I was actually trying to do another “hug” post so close to the previous one, I would be recycling some old photos. But …

Sawyer and I had about a two hour hug, after he had one of the worst seizures he has had in a very long time. He was out for so long, I was able to furminate about three cats worth of fur from him.
Normally, when Sawyer finally wakes up, he is starving, but he refused to eat anything. He then turned his nose up at lunch time. And, he only ate a few bites at dinner. Added to the seizure, this unusual behavior is very concerning.
Sawyer and I will be heading to the vet today to have his blood drawn and phenobarbital level checked. When it was checked last, it was below a therapeutic level, so we upped his dosage slightly. I will not get the result of the blood work until tomorrow, and so I will have an update on Friday’s post.
If you all can spare a few purrs and prayers for our little guy, Dad Tom and I would truly appreciate it.
Though I have been excessively wordy, Sawyer will be participating in the Wordless Wednesday blog hop hosted by Sandee at Comedy Plus.
Thanks for joining us today and for being our friends.

Sending loads of pawsitive thoughts to your sweet boy. Having had an epi-warrior for nearly 10 years, I know your concerns. Hugs and tail wiggles with the pawsitive thought.
Chaplin: “Not more hugs! And most definitely not more kisses! Anybody tries to hug and kiss me, they lose an eye!”
Charlee: “You seem a little uptight there Chaplin.”
Chaplin: “I don’t like hugs and kisses!!! But belly rubs are fine.”
Charlee: “I know we’re a bit late, but I hope we’re not too late to add to the purrs for Sawyer?”
Lulu: “And tail wags, too!”
Oh, Sawyer, our sweet kitty-blogger, we are so sorry for your troubles and were so proud of you when you came home from your long-ago walkabout, but kitties, like anthros, grow older and sometimes have troubles and we are sure that a two-hour snuggle helped A LOT!!
Lots of prayers coming your way.
Sorry to hear about that really bad seizure. Poor Sawyer. Of course, we’re purring and praying for him, and for you and Dad Tom, too. XO
We think every day is a hug your pet day. Who needs a special day for that? We are so sorry about Sawyer’s seizure. They are so hard to watch and you just can’t do anything to help. We hope the vet can figure out what is going on so Sawyer won’t have to deal with another one for a very long, long time
Woos – Misty and Timber
I will be praying for your sweet boy. XO
Purring for Sawyer. Hopefully that long hug helped a little.

Thank you for joining the Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Wordless Wednesday. More love, hugs and prayers. ♥
Heck, I didn’t know there was a International AND a National Hug Your Cat Day…I’ll have to update my calendar, and maybe post in between the two dates.
Purrs for Sawyer, and to you, dear.
Lots of love and prayers coming your way from us and our Mom, Sawyer.
Sending Sawyer and you, Mom, and Dad as well, POTP and hugs and prayers.
We’re purring loud and hard for Sawyer. We hope he is feeling better and EATING!
Love and whisker kisses,
Noelle and Reesie and Mom Sharon
Sending sweet Sawyer a lot of POTP and some gentle hugs…..we hope he’s OK. An extra bad seizure must really take a tool on his little body…..The blanket comfort on Mom’s lap is the best “post-seizure” treatment he could have – cozy and safe.
Hugs, Pam and Teddy
Poor Sawyer and poor you and Tom too. I hope the vet visit goes well, and he soon feels better and starts to eat again.
Hugs for you and Dad Tom, and a big round of purrs from our gang for Sawyer to get better! Hopefully the vets will be able to sort things out for him.
