Sparks #22

Sparks Week #22

Of course, we cats are always ourselves! Let’s all strive to be somebody’s best friend.

According to Wikipedia, “Renee Olstead is an American actress and singer. Active since childhood as an actress, she is best known for her roles on the CBS sitcom Still Standing and on the drama The Secret Life of the American Teenager as Madison Cooperstein. In addition, she has recorded four studio albums, primarily of jazz music.”

Mauricio, Astrid and I are joining Annie (McGuffy’s Reader) for her Sparks blog hop. In establishing the hop, she wrote this, “I believe we are meant to be lights in this world. If we allow our light to shine, we can see where we are going. It is then that we can begin to truly see each other clearly. Together, we can light up the entire world!” This is what makes Sparks so special and why I look forward to participating each week.

Sparks: Week #11

a budding friendship

All Kitties Blue and our mom and dad are delighted that Cooper Murphy has taken Sawyer under his paw and is teaching him the way of indoor cats. We know that friendships can wax and wane and even come to an end, so we all have our paws crossed that this friendship remains in place throughout their lifetimes.

Sparks is a weekly blog hop established and hosted by Annie at McGuffy’s Reader. In establishing the hop, she wrote this, “I believe we are meant to be lights in this world. If we allow our light to shine, we can see where we are going. It is then that we can begin to truly see each other clearly. Together, we can light up the entire world!”

Thoroughly Poetic & Thankful Thursday

Our friend, Sammy (onespoiledcat), is the creator and host of Thoroughly Poetic Thursday. Our friend, Brian (Brian’s Home), is now the host of the Thankful Thursday blog hop. As much as possible, we will be combining these two weekly events into one post beginning today.

Thoroughly Poetic Thursday

The prompt letter for our poem this week is, “V.” This is for us probably the most difficult prompt to date. Regardless, we managed to eek out another poem. It is entitled, Visiting.

Visiting our blogger friends makes us happy,
Whether meowing cats or dogs yappy.
We try to see our friends each day
And read what it is you have to say.
We like to know what you are doing
And even what blogs you’ve been viewing.
When Mom deems her life more important,
We may not always get to leave a comment.
So we are using Sammy’s special poetry day,
As well as the blog hop for Thankful Thursday,
To tell you all how much we like to visit
And just how important you are to us.
Our blogger “family” is absolutely the best,
And for your friendship we are truly blessed.

We used our poem to say thank you to all the bloggers who have befriended us during the past four plus years. We have two additional things for which we are thankful as well.

Recently we were named both one of the top 100 cat blogs as well as one of the top 50 cat blogs. We are honored and so thankful for these designations. Though many of our blogging friends are on one or both of these lists, many others we believe should’ve been selected were not. Regardless, we thank Thoroughly Reviewed for selecting us to the list of 50. This is the statement from their blog: “We wanted to take a moment and recognize bloggers who are passionate about our feline friends and who are producing great content on their blogs.”

Additionally Kitties Blue would like to thank for listing The Cat on My Head as one of the Top 100 Cat Blogs Every Cat Lover Must Read. This is the web-site’s introduction to the selected blogs: “Love cats and looking for information on cats? Whether you are already a cat owner or looking to home a cat, reading cat blogs can be your guide to everything cats. So we have compiled the Best 100 Cat Blogs list which provide inspiring, beautiful and most relevant stories, pictures and videos on cats all brought together on a daily basis. Also find information on cat health, behavior issues, general cat care advice, breed information, product reviews and much more.”

With so much for which to be thankful, this is our entry in this week’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.

dw-pmlexialwaysforeverheart3-9-16R.I.P. Lexi

It is with a heavy heart that we say farewell to Lexi from the blog Deziz World. Seventeen-year-old, tabby Lexi (with her gorgeous green eyes) was a service cat for Mom Audra. Deziz will be handling service duties on her own for the time being. If you haven’t already, please stop by and leave your condolences.
