Caturday Art
As we do every Caturday, we are joining Athena Cat Goddess Wise Kitty for her Caturday Art Blog Hop. This is one of my favorite days and hops. I have zero artistic ability and couldn’t draw a recognizable stick figure even if my life was on the line. But thanks to so many different photo editing apps available, I am able to create something arty. If you are not participating in the Caturday Art blog hop, you should give it a try. It is fun!
I created today’s art using only PicMonkey. If you follow our blog regularly, you know that I have a tendency to pile on using several different apps to create one piece of art. The subject of today’s creation is our sweet Fiona.
I don’t remember everything I did to the original photo, but I can tell you that the first step was to create a mirror image. What could possibly be better than one Fiona? Two, of course! From there I created a pencil sketch, added some bokeh stars and did a couple of other things I don’t remember prior to adding the cut-out border.
This is the original photo of Fiona. She was sitting amongst several bags that held swag from the BlogPaws Conference.
Here’s your heads-up to get your selfies taken for tomorrow’s blog hop. I have a plan regarding which of the Kitties Blue I want to feature. The biggest hint I am going to give you is that it is one of the girls. Whether or not she agrees to participate remains to be seen. Until then…
That’s a beautiful mirror image of you, Fiona. You get a double Pawkiss for that 🙂 <3 <3
Wow, we really like that art of Fiona! Its furry purrty!
Great art, I love the effect, it resembles dichroic glass art. You say you don’t have an artistic flair, you sure do!
I like this art. I didn’t know you could do mirror images in PicMonkey. Hope you let the cat out of the bag. MOL!
That came out great!
That is a great effect of two Fionas.
Great effect ! Purrs
Oh. My. Mouses. I LOVE THAT! A real work of art, for sure. purrs
Two Fionas is definitely twice as nice. 🙂
Oooo how artistic!! Very well done.
Now that is some great art. Well done. Very interesting piece. You all have a great day.
You are so creative. Someday, I hope to learn photo art.
It has been so busy here, with yard work, etc. Maybe I will get caught up on things and get back to blogging the way I used to…soon…?
HUGS!
We agree with Summer – and we love the color palette you chose!
What a terrific job you did with your artwork, Mom Janet! We love all those neat effects, and hey, two Fionas make us doubly happy! 🙂
I really love this one! Two of Fiona is purrfectly fine with us, that’s for sure! It never ceases to amaze me how you can always manage to find such an amazing combo of features and effects to apply to a photo for such a grand result. I also love how you just go with it and just let it take you where it takes you. No matter how you do it, your art is always so beautiful and unique!
That’s pretty darn double cool!
Yikes! A two-headed cat almost in time for Halloween!!!
Beautiful masterpiece … I really like the star effect!
We love it!
My mum can’t draw to save her life but like Summer’s human says, it takes more than just being able to draw and paint. Having a good eye is very important and you do have that!
Thank you for saying nice things about my hop 🙂
Purrs xx

My human says that artistic talent is more than just being able to draw or paint. You need to have an eye first… and that you DO have! Your art is consistently interesting and well executed!
Very very artistic indeed.
