Sunday Selfies: Week #109
Well, she did it! Mom coerced me into taking a selfie. I actually took four, but she is saving the others for future posts. My photo is rather fuzzy as I was under a chair in the living room when I snapped my selfies. I am not much for socializing with my fursibs so getting photos of me or getting me to take some is not an easy task. I do know, however, that my sweet boyfriend Charles does like to see me on the blog. I really, really, really hope he likes this photo.
Normally Mom would have added some super flowery frame to my selfie, but today we want to recognize Patriot Day (National Day of Service and Remembrance) and the 15th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks on the U.S.A. It continues to hurt our hearts that so many had to lose their lives on that horrible day. We are sending all our prayers to everyone affected by this attack on our country. It saddens us as well that the terror attacks continue in both the U.S. and so many other countries. Peace is the dream we pray will become a reality.
This is our Sunday Selfies Blog Hop, and we hope many of you will join us on this day of remembrance and offer your support and prayers on your blog post. The link to add your selfies is below as is the code to add the hop to your blog if you’d like. As always, we have only one request: Please display our badge and/or link to The Cat On My Head. Thank you.
Purrs, prayers and paw-pats, Lisbeth on behalf of Kitties and Mom and Dad Blue
We did everyone. In spite of not feeling 100% we did everyone. See you next Sunday.
Spending time catching up on our selfies!
You look great Lisbeth.
Love to your Mum and family.
I can tell you that this Charles likes your photo. 🙂
Thank you Lisbeth for remembering those lost on 9/11.
A very appropropriate blog entry for today. Just remembering that terrible attack makes my heart so sad. But I’m heartened by all who remember. I drove from Oregon to Washingon today, and I saw many communities expressing their remembrances through flags and ribbons. Each one made me feel better.
Great selfie! Have a great Sunday and what a lovely tribute. Meow for now… Kristian
A great selfie and a beautiful tribute.
Have a super Sunday…

Lisbeth, You look purrfectly lovely!
And we love your post too. Reading JFK’s words really depressed the Human. What happened to politicians, from either side, that were such excellent orators? Who can speak like this today? And stir hearts and minds in a GOOD way? It seems now it’s all just angry shouting. And even MORE depressing, she wonders if the citizenry of this country (including herself) is up to the challenges of “bear[ing] any burden,” “support[ing] any friend,” or “pay[ing] any price,” etc. It seems we have grown selfish and lazy and too much in love with our phones and tablets and comfort to be really willing to give anything up, even to “assure the survival….of liberty.”
~~play bowss~~ to Lisbeth~~
Yur foto iss just purrfect as are you deer gurl…..

I think you took a lovely selfie! We have a kitty named Moo Shu who is shy and doesn’t like her photo taken either.
Lovely thoughts for today as well.
I sent in a Sunday Selfie as I do often and there is NOTHING to tell me it worked other than a check mark by my upload. But I never see the selfie unless it is taking so long to load that I just miss it.
I think it’s easier than this. Help!
Nice job Lisbeth, September 11th is such a sad day for so many. We are sure your kind words are a balm to those who suffered loss, we are sending purrs and prayers to those who lost family and friends that day and those who are suffering due to its residual effects.
What a beautiful selfie! Lisbeth you are just so lovely. This was a well thought out remembrance of what we suffered as a Nation 15 years ago. We should never forget.
My Love..your selfie is beautiful. Thank you Mom Janet for taking such a wonderful photo of Ms Lisbeth I can add to my photo album.
Your words regarding 9/11 says it so well. My mom was home sick from work that day and saw it all unfold. Those were a few unbelievable days watching the tragic results on TV. We are sending purrs and prayers to those who lost family and friends that day and those who have continued to be lost from its residual effects.
Charles

Beautiful Selfie Lisbeth…………..we did TWO posts today….one for Patriot Day, and one to have some fun with the “Traveling Sunglasses” from 15andMeowing. It’s hard to imagine it’s already been 15 years since that horrible day in 2001- and there are still painful and sad reminders of how awful acts of terrorism are occurring around the globe……seems some lessons are just never learned. We pray for peace………..
Love, Sammy
