Sparks
Social distancing sucks! Though I am thankful to be able to keep up with friends via texting, e-mails and the phone, I miss spending time with my local friends. I believe it is time to learn how to use Zoom.
Missing friends is what prompted my Spark for today, for which my three boys were happy to pose, just as long as they didn’t have to wake up.
Today’s Spark is from Saint Thomas Aquinas, a 13th century Italian Dominican friar, influential philosopher, theologian, Catholic priest, and Doctor of the Church.
Sparks began as a blog hop, created by our friend, Annie (McGuffy’s Reader). Annie is taking a “break” from blogging, so there is no hop. Many of us still continue to post a Spark on Monday, as we believe in Annie’s vision: “I believe we are meant to be lights in this world. If we allow our light to shine, we can see where we are going. It is then that we can begin to truly see each other clearly. Together, we can light up the entire world!”
Awww Mondays
Sawyer, Cooper Murphy and Mau will be hopping over to Comedy Plus as soon they wake up to join the Awww Mondays blog hop. If you’d also like to join, click on the badge below.
The Adventures of Periwinkle & Stinky
Thankfully, our two favorite adventuring tabbies, Periwinkle & Stinky, don’t have to practice social distancing. That means they will be off on another adventure tomorrow. You can read it right here at The Cat on My Head, and Stinky and Periwinkle have their paws crossed you will join them.
I have no idea how to use Zoom. You three mancats sure know how to bring the aww factor!
Zoom is easy and fun! I’ve done some visits with my human on it.
Great spark and such a cute photo. XO
What a sweet photo, and the spark is purrfect! I think we’re all missing friends right now.
What a pawsome Spark! The mom has been Zooming with some of her friends both local and out of state. It’s a great way to stay in touch, she says.
Awww on the boys. You two know how much I love you. Mauricio too.
Love the Spark. The mom always finds the best ones.
Thank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Awww Monday and week. Big hug to your wonderful mom. ♥
That’s such a sweet trio and a wonderful Spark!
Great Spark and totally adorable photo. Both Noelle and Allie wish they could snuggle in there!!
We can’t wait to see what Periwinkle and Stinky are up to tomorrow!
The Florida Furkids with smoochies and love to Mau from Allie and paw pats and headbonks to Sawyer from Noelle.
So true ! Zoom is very easy to use and helps a lot during the social distancing era, but it’s still not like meeting for real. Purrs
Since we are from The Motor City, we know that this isn’t the time to take one’s foot off of the gas!
Friendship is very important. I think we are lucky this didn’t happen 20 years ago because social media and things like Zoom (and blogging) help us stay connected. I already use zoom for my German lessons so I am used to it but yesterday I used it for the first time with several members of my family which was very nice.
Social distancing is getting old but we must stick with it until it’s really safe…….I love seeing your cats “NOT” social distancing but keeping each other close company while snoozing away the day. I watch Teddy and wish I could be that “oblivious” in these troubled times! Have a super week ahead………my friend…………
Love, Pam
It is hard to not be able to see good friends and pop in for a coffee and chat. The only time we see our neighbours is if they are walking around their fields at the same time as we are walking in ours. Then we have a shouted conversation across the fish pond (lake).
For sure this social distancing thing is horrible. So contrary to the human nature.
Good thing like you say that we have the technology to keep in touch one way or another.
Here is a tight virtual (((HUG)))!
At least we don’t have to have worries about those:)
