HAPPY 13TH BIRTHDAY

Caturday Birthday Art

Today marks the 13th birthday of two of the Kitties Blue girls, Lisbeth and Astrid. They are both special to us and were best friends when we adopted them. The girls came from two different rescues: Astrid from Barn Cat Buddies and Lisbeth from Angels of Assisi. (Their names at the time were Tabitha and Cary.) They were being fostered together, as Astrid and her brother, Bobby, were found as tiny kittens abandoned on a roof, and they needed a mom.

Lisbeth had a mom, Tuxie, and that’s how they ended up being together. I saw Astrid on PetFinder, and it was love at first sight. Bobby had already been adopted when we met her and Lisbeth. We’ve tried to adopt siblings when possible, and Lisbeth and Astrid seemed bonded as littermates at the time. You can see that in the “baby” photo below, which I’ve used to make Caturday Art and their birthday card.

 

 

The girls were inseparable, as you can see, for quite sometime. Then one day they went their separate ways. We never see them together now! But we still have many wonderful memories of them as kittens.

As I used this art for their birthday card, I made a second rendering from the same effect on Painnt. It is called Miss Teacup. I didn’t tinker with the version above except for adding the heart frame from the favpng app.

In the version below, I set the Color to original and once again added a favpng frame. I used this version to make a puzzle.

Party Time

Cooper Murphy took advantage of a bit of AI magic to make a cake for the girls. The app didn’t get their looks quite right, but it still turned out beautifully, so he didn’t want to waste it.

 

 

We do have a few noms and drinks to share.

Sunday Selfies Reminder

Your welcome to stay at the party as long as you like, but don’t forget to take a selfie for tomorrow. A miffed Calista Jo has agreed to be your host. She has an ulterior motive, but I’ll take it. It’s very difficult to get any of the Kitties Blue to agree to taking a selfie, so I am always happy when one of them comes forward.
