DECONSTRUCTED LILY OLIVIA

deconstructed

I used Ribbit to create Lily Olivia’s deconstructed portrait. I hadn’t used it in quite a while and discovered some new effects I previously had not tried. I selected the Random Pixelation, Slicer and Crystallize effects (in that order). I added the Confetti frame, also from Ribbet. I am very pleased with this as Lily is still totally recognizable.

deconstructedHere’s the original photo for comparison. Lily Olivia was sitting on the kitchen island waiting for her dad to finish his cereal so she could lap up any leftover milk from his bowl. However, it wasn’t really the milk she wanted. She wanted the Cheerios. She is a crazy cereal cat. Our angel Steamer was the same way. I had to stand in the middle of the kitchen to eat my cereal to keep her out of it. That never phased her. She’d leap right onto my back with claws extended! Ouch!

This is our entry in Athena and Marie’s Caturday Art Blog Hop. Caturday Art is one of the most fun hops as well as one of our favorites. It gives me the opportunity to experiment and try new things. If you’d like to participate or just view the other creations, click on Athena and Marie’s badge.

simonscat1We are giving away one copy of British cartoonist Simon Tofield’s new book. It is 240 pages of laugh-out-loud hilarity, including 49 pages (many in full color) of a trip to the vet that goes terribly wrong. To read my review and leave a comment for the chance to win a copy, click here.

Sunday Selfies Blog Hop

Cat4-001Kitties Blue are zooming around the house and celebrating as none of them have to take a selfie for tomorrow’s blog hop. We will have a guest host this week and quite an unusual one. Of course, we won’t be giving you any clues as to the identity of our host. We want your curiosity to bring you back tomorrow. We also hope you will join our hop and encourage your friends to do so as well. Thank you so much for your continued support and participation.
