Awww Mondays – Tortoiseshell Cat Appreciation Day
Astrid and Calista Jo are here today to celebrate this special day for torties and to join the Awww Mondays blog hop.
Our two gorgeous torties will be participating in the Awww Mondays blog hop at Comedy Plus. You can do the same by clicking on the Awww badge below.
Sparks
I wanted to use this photo Dad Tom took of some of our azaleas for my Spark, which is the opposite of how I usually do them. Normally, I would select the Spark first. When I found the quote by Wayne Dyer, I knew it was purrfect. For me, our gardens are my happy place and give me the opportunity to think a lot about my life.
The author of today’s Spark, Wayne Dyer, (1940 to 2015) was an American self-help author and a motivational speaker. His first book, Your Erroneous Zones (1976), is one of the best-selling books of all time. An estimated 100 million copies have been sold. He also wrote 20 more best-selling books and produced a number of popular specials for PBS. He was a frequent guest on the Oprah Winfrey Show.
Sparks is the creation of Annie from McGuffy’s Reader. Sparks began as a blog hop, created by our friend. Annie stated when she began Sparks, “I believe we are meant to be lights in this world. If we allow our light to shine, we can see where we are going. It is then that we can begin to truly see each other clearly. Together, we can light up the entire world.”
The Adventures of Periwinkle & Stinky
Your favorite, fun-loving tabbies, Periwinkle & Stinky, will be setting off on a new adventure tomorrow. You’ll be able to find them on Periwinkle’s blog, Friends Furever. I know whatever Periwinkle has planned will be loads of fun, and you’ll definitely want to join them. Adventures are always more fun when you come along, so they’ll be waiting for you.
Happy Tortie Appreciation Day, Astrid and Calista Jo! We love that spark, too. Especially in the midst of a difficult work day, that regimen is a true treasure. XO
Well, we give ourselves many more than five minutes to appreciate our surroundings, especially since mama’s first spring rose, Sweet Love, has bloomed and she gave it away to our neighbor and forgot to take a pic!!!! It smells divine and there are no more Sweet Loves in our rose seller’s stash! Mama started 3 more from branches a year ago and they are doing very well. Your tortoises are SO BEAUTIFUL.
Wow, a day to celebrate your color. I wonder if there’s a tri-color appreciation day for me?? XOX Chia
Happy tortie day, Astrid and Calista Jo. Maybe some day there will be a salt-and-pepper day for me. XOX Xena
I love your spark. I have a habit of just stopping and looking at the sky or the trees or the mountains in wonder. It feeds my soul. Amy
