Caturday Art
When creating today’s “art,” I couldn’t decide which of the three renditions of Misty May I wanted to use. I liked them all. I did these about a week ago, and I think I created them completely in Picasa beginning with the pencil sketch.
Misty May’s dad took the original photo when she was on the desk in the vestibule. She was waiting her turn at the Annual Round-Up. I just cropped it down to a head-shot for use on this post. By the way, Misty May wanted me to tell you that her Senior Panel blood work came back with all test values within the normal range.
The pencil sketch is our entry in Athena Cat Goddess Wise Kitty’s Caturday Art Blog Hop. To see additional entries or submit one of your own, click on her edge.
The Confessional
I had no idea that yesterday’s post about horking would bring so many confessions from our kitty pals with reference to their antics in that area. Guess our saying, “A day without throw-up is a day without cats,” is more appropriate than we ever knew. Too bad there isn’t a way to make money from that yucky stuff.
Sunday Selfies Reminder
I think our Sunday Selfies Blog Hop will feature a guest host tomorrow. The kitties dad went to the country a few days ago with his photo club. Some of the animals he saw begged to do selfies, so I have a couple of excellent candidates.
We’ve had a great turnout on the blog hop the past couple of weeks, which makes Kitties Blue very happy. They really hope to see lots of friends (old and new) again this weekend. Remember all anipals are welcome. If you want to include your human in the selfie, they are an animal so go right ahead. See you then.
Glad your labwork was good! And we like that pencil sketch!
These are so nice. My favorite is the pencil sketch! Glad to hear about the blood work. I just read your post about the horking. Glad we’re not alone! yuck! 😆
Wonderful art ! Purrs
We JUST finished the last week’s Sunday Sefie. Sorry we were so late. Hope to do better this week * hugs * Caturday art looks awesome!
We like them all, but the first is our fave. Misty May, hooray for your good blood work! That makes us so happy! 🙂
We are really happy for Misty Mae’s blood work to be good. We will keep the purrs and prayers coming for one good looking arty kitty. Goodness if I looked a quarter as good I would go to hollys wood!
Purrs
Timmy and Family
I am glad to hear that Misty May’s blood values are normal. I like all 3 versions, especially the third.
I think you know we’re partial to pencil sketches. Pretty.
I like the first sketch the best. That is great news about the bloodwork.
That’s fantastic news about your bloodwork and your artwork is pawsome!
We like the middle one the best, we think…but all three are really nice.
These are truly works of art.
I’m partial to #1 but I’m a black kitty so I’m not impartial.
Very good news on the senior blood panel results.
Beautiful!
Purrs xx
Athena and Marie
All great, but I think the top sketch is my favorite.
Fabulous art work! We like the original photo and the first manipulation. We didn’t know you could do all that in Picasa (our mom just uses Picasa to organize our photos and put a frame around them sometime).
Re: your comment on our blog about allergies. Yes, Dragonheart has allergies and takes a daily puffer for his allergy-induced asthma. But when his eye goop starts turning yellow or green, it means there’s an infection of some sort. But he has the most “normal” eye goop of any of us due to the allergies.
We’ll be posting at least one selfie tomorrow!
You do make quite the beautiful trio sweet girl!
These are all great shots of you, Misty May. But, I’m especially in love with the sketch quality of the first one. And, we’re so glad your bloodwork came back normal, Misty May! Purrs, and we’ll see you tomorrow!
Yea! for Misty May’s blood-work! And we love her artwork! We love the progression from black and white to color and then COLOR! Very nice!! Happy Saturday!
Misty May is a head turner that’s for sure!! Great news on the blood results! 🙂
My favorite is the pencil sketch version too! Any photo of Misty May will be beautiful though……………..!!
Hugs, Sammy
I don’t want to take away from the art but I love the original because it looks like she’s working in the mail room. 🙂
First we were happy your blood test came out fine, Misty May. Next we have to say that your artwork came out just purrfect. The first artwork looks so natural black and whitey and then adding all the colours makes it so…colourful 😀 and festivety. It is nice to play around with the program, isn’t it 😉 Pawkisses for a Happy Saturday to you all 🙂 <3 <3
My favorite is the very first pencil sketch!
In all three pics, Misty May’s gorgeous eyes stand out! What a lovely ladycat you are.
Hope you have a great Caturday.
