Thankful Thursday
Thursday is the day we set aside to list the things for which we are thankful.
Sawyer is first up with his thankful today. Though he was less than keen on having his photo taken, he does want to show off his statue and chirpy bird prize from winning the Bad to the Bone category in the 2021 Golden AssRabbit Award contest.
Sawyer also was honored with this magazine cover, for which we want to thank Rabbit’s clever and creative mom, Kim. If you don’t follow her blog, It’s a Wonderpurr Life, you are missing out on lots of fun.
Though Dad Tom and I were not pleased with Sawyer’s unauthorized “adventure,” we are proud of him for his win. Cooper Murphy, however, is jealous and already working overtime on his badness, so he can enter next year’s contest.
I am thankful my hand is healing after Cooper’s unintentional (?) maiming.
And, as always, Kitties Blue and I are thankful for your friendship and support.
Thankful Thursday is a blog hop hosted by everyone’s pal, Brian. Please say some extra prayers for Brian today, as he is undergoing an endoscopic biopsy in an attempt to determine if he is suffering from IBD or lymphoma. And please continue to send POTP while he and his family wait the for the test results.
If you’d like to join the hop, post on your blog for what you are thankful, and then click on Brian’s badge to link up.
Thoroughly Poetic Thursday
Of course, Thursday also is the day for the Two Spoiled Cats, Angel Sammy and Teddy’s, poetry challenge. This week’s inspiration photo is particularly amusing, and I hope you find my poem equally amusing.
Don’t Forget Your Underwear
Kilts and wind do not make a good team,
Especially if your undies aren’t pristine.
And if you’re leaving home without underwear,
You best check the weather and take care
To avoid a chance of encountering a breeze,
Passersby seeing your bum won’t be pleased.
So if you’ve a kilt hanging in your closet,
Best stay out the wind to avoid any gossip.

When we saw the magazine title “Neighborhood Walkabout” were meowing our heads off and Dad almost rolled on the floor. We are so glad it all worked out in the end. We were really happy that our resident bad boy won the Naughty but Nice category and had his magazine “Champion Floof Wrestling” which is also too funny MOL. And now Cooper is being a hooligan oh my. Who is next? Better get the band aids and guerilla glue ready, hee hee
He deserved that win too. I’m so glad he’s home. As for Cooper Murphy? He’s purrfect and he didn’t mean to hurt you. Jealous I’m sure. It’s the way of kitties and he’s noticed that Sawyer shadows you.
Sorry about that beautiful broken cup.
Love the poem.
Have a fabulous Thankful Thursday. Scritches all around and a hug to mom. ♥
Ahahaha that cover really is a scream! Glad your hand is healing and hope it gets completely better fast. Your poem is funny too!
Those are really good thankfuls and I hope your hand heals up soon. Thanks for the purrs for Brian, I dropped him off early this morning. Fun poem too. Thanks for joining our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
Once again we will say and we will say it over and over and over again that we are so glad you’re home and to stick close to mama is a very good thing to do.
That is one awesome magazine cover for Sawyer’s walk about. And he did a good job in his picture with his trophies.
We hope Cooper Murphy feels like he has done enough bad to the bone stuff to win next time. Maybe give him a prize now??
Apparently the man in the kilt never saw that picture of Marilyn Monroe or he wouldn’t have stood there in a “skirt,” BOL.
XOX Lucy, Xena and Mom
Sawyer, You really did earn that award and are so handsome on your magazine cover but I hope you NEVER do anything like that again.
I’m glad Mom Janet is healing but, Cooper Murphy, PLEASE stop trying to win for next year.
Your poem was great. We all MOL’d.
Noelle with love and paw pats and whisker kisses to Sawyer
Love the award and magazine cover dear Sawyer managed to snag from Ass-Rabbit’s contest. Well deserved I’d say!!! We do think Cooper is a little OVERZEALOUS with his attempts to start being BAD enough to win next year by biting the heck out of Mom’s hand and breaking that precious demitasse cup! Now as for that poem for this week’s Poetry Day, you absolutely did a “killer” of a kilt poem….you can tell that guy is not very happy as he tries to keep some semblance of dignity while not dropping his case!!!! Well done.
Hugs, Pam and Teddy too
