Recently, Lily Olivia has been getting up close and personal and sticking her face right up in mine. I normally don’t mind this as it means we can exchange kisses. I will give her kisses on the top of her head, and she will kiss my face. But lately, she has been the biggest grump. I am more likely to get growled at and receive a whap across the face.
Two nights ago, I woke up a couple of times to find her sitting right next to my head and staring at me. The look on her face said, “don’t touch me!” She’s never been known for having a sweet purrsonality. I have always said that she is bipolar. But as she’s aged, she’s mellowed a little and become slightly more tolerant. I am now thinking this has merely been a phase.
I decided if she wasn’t going to let me pet or love on her, I, at least, was going to get some photos and took a couple of selfies of the two of us. (I did my best to crop myself out.) As you can see from her facial expressions, she was obviously put out by the whole affair.
I most likely will make Sunday Selfies part of our regular post rotation alternating with Easy Like Sunday posts. With any luck, future selfies will show photos of less grumpy kitties.
