STRAW HAT DAY: MAY 15, 2014

Straw Hat Day marks the point in the year when you should put away your day-to-day felt hats (until the Felt Hat Day on September 15th) and start to wear a straw hat to keep cool.

We don’t know why humans celebrate this day. Hardly any of them even wear hats anymore. Do baseball caps count? Lots and lots of people (even our dad) wear those. I don’t think any of them ever put those away.

No matter, the mom thinks we should all don straw hats today and cavort in the grass. As she is still in the process of recovering from that scorpion sting, we decided to cut her an itty-bitty amount of slack and pose for this photo.

Now that y’all have seen us, we’re taking these things off and turning them into chew toys. If your human has shamed you in this same way, we hope you follow our lead.

HAPPY STRAW HAT DAY!
