Thoroughly Poetic Thursday
Teddy and Angel Sammy from Two Spoiled Cats are hosts for a poetry challenge each Thursday. They provide an inspiration photo, and those of us who participate write a poem to accompany it. Here’s this week’s adorable photo followed by my poem.

Bath Time High Jinks!
A bath in the sink is so much fun.
I can splash Mom from head to tum.
She never gets cross at me for doing it.
She wears a shower cap and plastic apron to fit.
After she dries me off and I go down for a snooze,
she mops the kitchen floor and wipes off her shoes.
She says my red hair is what makes me such an imp,
and she relishes every minute of my silliness.
So, tomorrow I will repeat my bath time high jinks
right here in our stainless steel, kitchen sink!

Each week Angel Sammy transmits his poem from the Rainbow Bridge to Teddy for publication. Sammy’s one of our favorite poets, and we always recommend you read his poem. Please stop over to Two Spoiled Cats, by clicking on the poetry badge, to check out Sammy’s poem and get the photo for next week’s challenge.
Thankful Thursday
Thursday is also the day we share the things for which we are thankful and then join Angel Brian’s blog hop.
I am thankful I was able to get an ESI (epidural steroid injection) in my neck last Friday. Relief from the pain is such a blessing.
I was a first commenter on the Tuesday Teaser at Two Spoiled Cats once again this week. I did share that feat with two others. Though I was not first, I did identify the Teaser correctly as well.

Giveaway
Sawyer asked for the anniversary of his second Gotcha Day if we could have a giveaway for Purrserverance, where you can read his full story. To have the opportunity to win a copy, simply leave a comment on our Sunday Selfies post prior to midnight Friday, July 26. One winner will be selected through a random drawing.
Comment-a-thon
In honor of our 12th anniversary, which also took place on Sunday, we are having a Comment-a-thon as well. If you leave a comment on that same Sunday Selfies post by the same deadline, I will donate $1 per comment to the shelter/rescue chosen by the individual selected through another random drawing. One comment enters you in both drawings, but you can only win one.
If you missed The Adventures of Periwinkle & Stinky this week, it was an extra special one in celebration of Mau and Allie’s eighth anniversary. You can read it by clicking on their badge.
Thanks for stopping by today. We will look forward to seeing you tomorrow when we share Friendly Fill-ins.

Oona: “Oona enjoys playing in the sink! She is not sure about the whole ‘bath’ thing though.”
Lulu: “Our Dada’s late uncle had red hair in his younger days and we are told he had a reputation as quite an imp, so you may be on to something with that poem!”
What a fun poem! You captured the little guy’s expression perfectly.
I pray you can get those injections as often as you need them.
Adorable poem! Sorry I didn’t see this on the day you posted it – the “baby in the sink” really generated a lot of precious poetry including this one from you. I was happy to learn you had an injection to relieve your neck pain…..constant pain is so distracting – I’ve had occasion to try and get through that sort of thing in my past – fortunately these days other than “old lady aches and pains” I’m pretty much pain-free!!!! Sending hugs and apologies for missing this post. My notices of so many blog postings are sporadic these days.
Hugs, Pam and Teddy too
Cute poem. Glad you got some pain relief. XO
I am glad you have had your injection and it has given relief from the constant pain. That is a sweet poem and brought back distant memories of my nan sitting me on the kitchen draining board with my feet in the sink to wash. (My mum was a young widow so had to work full time and my nan used to help looking after me and my baby brother.)
Excellent poem!
That ginger-haired wee one is as cute as the dickens.
I am thankful for you that your neck isn’t hurting now. Loved your sweet poem!
Love the poem. I suffer from neck pain, too. I’m glad you found some relief.
Ahaha, fun poem, and picture! I’m glad you’re getting relief from pain. And congrats on being a firstie, and also a right guesser, on the Teaser!
