Feline Friday
Calista Jo is here today with some photos from her vet visit yesterday.

Calista Jo is a horrible traveler. She bellyached from door to door and back again. She has the loudest, most piercing meoyowl! Dr. McBane said she could hear her while we were still in the parking lot.
Calista Jo is a constant over-groomer. She ends up with something called Eosinophilic Granuloma. She also gets Feline Indolent (Eosinophilic) ulcers on her lips. These two conditions are related to each other. She received an antibiotic injection and will be taking Prednisolone. She was treated for this last November as well.
Dr. McBane, Dad Tom and I are all praying she has no additional health issues, as she has lost more than a pound and a half since April. We are waiting on the results of blood work. I’ll keep you posted when we know more.
Calista Jo will be participating in messymimi’s meanderings for the Feline Friday blog hop. Click on the badge below if you would like to join the hop.

Friendly Fill-Ins
The Friendly Fill-Ins blog hop is hosted each Friday by Ellen (15 And Meowing) and Lorianne (Four-Legged Furballs). They publish the fill-in sentences on their blogs each Thursday. To join the hop, click on the badge at the left.
Calista Jo, after nearly rendering me deaf yesterday with her caterwauling agreed to help with the fill-ins. And my frequent helper, Sawyer, is back again this week. We all used teal italics for filling in. Any explanatory information is in parentheses.
1. Sawyer: I have changed my mind about Friskies stinky goodness in the past year. (I have been eating Fancy Feast kitten food, but have recently decided I like the Friskies better. Who knows how long that will last!)
2. I need to get moving on doing some yard work.
3. Though it might seem childish, I enjoy coloring.
4. Calista Jo: My visit to the vet wasn’t as awful as I thought it would be.

Charlee: “I feel for you, Calista Joe! I have had to go to the vet several times in the last month for some skin irritations and believe you me I let everyone know of my displeasure. I hope you get back good news from your tests!”
Yeah, Saffy and I aren’t good travellers, either. We mew all the way… Actually, we HOWL all the way to the doctor’s office. Non-stop, the peep says. But on the way home we’re quiet as two little mice. MOUSES!
Calista Jo, you have something in common with our Charismatic Enigma SissyCat. She overgrooms, but won’t accept meds under any circumstances and when she has a problem, has to go get long acting injections.
Thank you for linking up with Feline Friday and please tell your mom to be careful with the yard work, it’s been a hot summer and we don’t need any heatstrokes.
Poor Calista Jo. Ernie had this as well though later in life he didn’t have many outbreaks. I hope the medications help her.
That was an epic vet visit! Well done you for yelling!

I will add Calista Jo to my prayer list. I hope she is OK. Thank you for participating in the fill-ins, great answers. I like coloring too. 🙂 XO
We send purrayers and POTP that Calista Jo’s results all come back good !
It’s getting harder and harder for me to not lick myself, too, C.J. There’s nothing wrong or itchy, it’s just gotten to be a habit. Sometimes Mommy will cover my lick spot with her hand and I’ll lick her hand instead. Hey, maybe we can help each other get over that! XOX Xena
Coloring is a good past time. I haven’t for a while, but had gotten colored pencils and “adult” (not XXX) coloring books. Amy
Purrs and prayers for Calista Jo. At least she didn’t get a PTU Pooper badge!
The Florida Furkids with love and whisker kisses to Sawyer from Noelle
I hope those meds help you sweet Calista Jo and I’m glad your travel time is done. Those were good fill-in answers too. For some reason we had a Gotcha Day for Audrey and Raliegh on the Cat Blogosphere calendar today so Happy Gotcha Day just in case.
Purring for Calista Jo.
I look at the yard and think about doing work, then I find a reason to read a book instead.
Mom said she dreads the actual Vet visit. They have labeled me as difficult and I wouldn’t be if they would only take time to be nice to me.
Awwwww…..CJ glad you are getting some meds for your skin AND we’re hoping your blood work will be just fine. Meanwhile, we think your Mom did a great job on the fill-ins with a little help from you and Sawyer. We send all of you hugs!
Love, Teddy and Mom
Awww, we hope CJ’s labs will be OK…am=nd make sure you eat up, CJ. OK??
Hope the new meds will help resolve the skin troubles.
Those were fu fill ins!
Oh, this kitty undertood so well that trip to the vet but then he was so helpful and I felt better and I THINK it was a good thing. Well, a sort of good thing…just hope your reports are okay, CJ, we’re rooting for you!
Many purrs from us for Calista Jo’s blood work to have good results, and for her to get relief from her medication.
Sending purrs for Calista Jo! Let’s hear it for an accomplished vocalist.
