This was not the post we planned for today, but some of our furry friends need your help. If you are regular followers, you know that Barn Cat Buddies is the alma mater of Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo. This is also the TNR/Rescue our humans support and for which they volunteer.

We know most of our readers do not live in our area, but even if you can’t help physically, any amount of green papers would help. You can visit the Barn Cat Buddies web-site to donate. Barn Cat Buddies is a 501(c)3 organization, and all donations are tax deductible.
In an attempt to help these furiends, we are going to make this a comment-a-thon. Our mom will donate $1 for every comment left on this post prior to Sunday, July 10, at 5 p.m. ET. So please tell everyone you know to leave a comment as she is not putting a cap on the amount.
Thank you, friends!
Purrs and paw-pats, Barn Cat Buddies alumnae, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo
Sunday afternoon and came across this in the nick of time. I’m purrin’ these precious babies can all be saved.
Purrs,
Seville
We know cats can live anywhere, but this is pretty unbelievable. These cats definitely need to find a new place to call home. They don’t have the luxury of steel toed shoes and hard hats. A steel factory is hardly a place to call home, but it may rival with living on the streets. Good luck in raising funds for a much needed cause.
Oh wow! We hope that all those cats can be rescued. Great idea to host a comment-a-thon. You are wonderful to help out!
How nice of you to do a commenthon to help the kitties! We are proud to comment.
Oh my word…. These kitties clearly are resilient but living on the brink of disaster and death every day means they just have to be moved somehow! I hope you guys can find new homes ASAP purrs ERin
What a sad situation for these kitties. You are so kind to help and I hope they are all rescued.
We DONATED!!
Thank you for letting us know about these kitties,
Hugs

Heartbreaking to hear this story !
Those poor cats living amid all that danger and noise. I hope they can raise $$ and awareness to get those cats out of there.
Sorry if this is a duplicate but I think it ate my first comment…
I’m from Roanoke but currently in South Korea and this makes me so sad. I wish I could be there to help in person. Hugging my little furball just a little tighter right now.
This makes me so sad. I’m from Roanoke (currently living in South Korea) and wish so much I was there to help in person. Hugging my fur baby a little tighter right now. May the kindness of everyone who IS helping return on them.
This is such a sad situation for the kitties, and we hope the attention you are giving them will help very soon.
Mom L didn’t even read about it yet. She and I will go over the story carefully and see what else we can do. Green papers for sure but maybe there is something else. Let us get our thinking cat ears on
What excruciating circumstances. I hope and pray some will come forward to give them a new home.
Hopethe kitties can be saved and find new homes xx
This is an important and special post. Prayers for them all. Please keep us posted. Hugs.
Poor little kitties…
We hope you get thousands of comments!

What a generous home you have. And that story just breaks my heart. Those poor little sweeties! I can’t imagine a worse environment to live in. Such danger and such noise! I truly hope they can be rescued soon. No cat should have to live like that.
Jean from Welcome to the Menagerie
ouch! You need to install social sharing buttons on your blog, unless I am missing them
Happy to help and we will tweet
Oh my gosh, what a stressful and dangerous environment for these cats. My paws are crossed that they raise enough money and find some safe places to relocate these beauties.
How horrible for these poor kitties!
We will share far and wide 🙂
Purrs xx

A steel mill sounds like a really bad place for kitties to live. I hope they can get new, safer (and quieter) homes soon.
OMC how sad 🙁 We will send Healing Pawkisses and Purrayers for the situation and for the kitties, of course <3 <3 <3 Thank you for being there for them <3
How horrible. Hope those kitties find their furever homes.
Thank you for helping these poor kitties! We will share, and try to rustle up some green papers to help!
Thank You so much for any help you can offer. We already spend $800 a month on feeding our forever fosters in our four kitty city sanctuaries located on volunteer’s property. Update: A tiny neurologically impaired kitten called a CH cat will find her forever home with a kind person in the community. Stay tuned for more good news!!
OMC:(
That would be so scary…and those poor kitties think its OK, cause ts all they know…so sad.
We sure hope they get better places to live.
Poor, innocent babies. What a terrible situation to find themselves in. We hope homes in your area will be opened up to them. Thanks for having the comment-a-thon Janet. We know it will help 🙂

Oh wow! I wish I could take them all in to get them out of this situation. Unfortunately I am not in a position to donate at this time, but I can certainly comment and I can get the word out there to everyone I know. Good luck!
Hope they can be helped and saved.
We pray for those kitties in that very loud place!!
What a great organization – and what daunting task ! Prayers for the safety of all concerned !
I hope the cats and kittens can be saved.
We hope for the best situation for these kitties. Quite scary.
what a scary environment….we hope people step up to help (we live too far away and don’t have space for another feral…but we are sharing)
My mom is all too familiar with the results of missing one cat that should have been TNR’d.
Us six upstairs cats, the 9 tiny kittens and two adult cats in foster care in our basement are all proof of that.
We will spread youths word and pray there will be a solution to help them all.
Hug Kitties Blue and a billion kisses to my love Ms Lisbeth.
Charles
I come from Roanoke VA. I am horrified that these babies live like that and I am also deeply grateful to Cat for all the hard hard work she did to help these feral cats all along. Not surprising that one slipped through the plan to reproduce. I hope with all my heart that someone, many someones, step up and adopt or at least allow these kittens and cats to go to their farmland. xox
Those sweeties deserve all the help they can get. Thanks for calling it to everyones attention!
It’s a tough time of year for all shelters. Ours is busting at the seams too with kittens and cats and dogs. We’re purring that help will come for these poor cats and kittens. It’s very nice of you to do a commentathon to help.

Oh, this is so heartbreaking. We will certainly be visiting the Barn Cat Buddies website, donating, and learning more about them. You are such a good person, Janet – thank you for spreading the word and letting us all know that these kitties need our help, for volunteering your time to help them yourself, and of course for the donation you will be making once these comments are all tallied. We are sending many, many purrs and prayers to these kitties and their cause!
Oh how horrible…..those poor little kittens – imagine growing up in an environment like that which is so noisy and dangerous. Thanks for letting us know – we will try to help as best we can – meanwhile, bless you for having a commentathon to help them……we don’t know any people with barns who would be able to help but we hope SOMEONE does!
Love, Sammy
I really feel for these cats and kittens. I so wish I could help with those green papers. I don’t live anywhere near there so I also don’t know of any barns! 🙁
We has our paws crossed that they all find homes in a safer more pleasant environment. Since we don’t live in your area we can’t physically help or adopt, but we will share. And Mommy will look at our budget and see if we can send some green papers.
Those poor babies, how sad. I am praying for them and will spread the word.
My heart goes out to each one of them, for what they endure and for what they do to survive. You, too, are special for what you do to educate and help others. Thank you. We need more people like you. Much love, my friend. ❤ Always, Annie
Wow, these poor cats living in these conditions! I really hope they all can be rehomed very soon!
These heartbreaking stories never stop! Thank goodness for Barn Cat Buddies and the incredible work they are doing. I hope everyone who sees your post leaves a comment or visits BCB’s website to donate…and I truly hope some kind souls out there will actually adopt them.
And I’m crying AGAIN. Those poor babies! And thank you for bringing it to our attention! We don’t know anyone with barns in the area, but we’ll see what we can do about the rest 🙂
