As most of you know by now, the big Valentine’s Day Dance will be here in just over two weeks.
Of course, Mauricio already has his date, his lovely girlfriend, Allie. And Lisbeth has asked Texas to accompany her as he did to the Howl-o-ween Ball. She has her paws crossed he will accept.
Unfortunately, the rest of us remain dateless.
Lily Olivia, being nearly fifteen, has said that she would be happy to attend as just a chaperone for Calista Jo if she should find an escort. After all, C.J. is only one-and-a-half years old, and we think a little young for much more than a play date.
Since suitors have not been beating down our cat door, Mom has decided to revert to what has become a tried-and-true method for finding suitable companions: Match.Cat.
We have included our profiles here and hope that at least a few of the handsome man-cats in blog world might consider asking us to the dance. It worked for Nellie, so we hope it works for us!
Mom has given us only 72 hours to find dates as she will need to find dresses for us and get our pictures made with our escorts and sent to Madi by February 6.
I am a nine-year-old, tuxie girl. Mauricio is my biological brofur. Unlike him, I am not needy and high-strung. I do, however, like a good adventure and love to explore. But I also have my soft side (including my furs) and like to cuddle. I am “The Cat on My Head.”
I am the only floofy cat among us. So if you like a kitty with lots of luxurious furs, I’m your girl. I am three and a half years old and a very laid-back and quiet lady-cat. If you’re not a dancer, an evening of quiet conversation would suit me just fine. I wouldn’t mind double dating with my sisfur, Fiona, as we like to do everything together.
I am the short-haired version of Giulietta. We look alike except for size and fur length. Though I can be shy, I will admit I am a little more feisty than she is and like to play and have a good time. I adore dancing and think I am quite good at it.
I am the really shy girl among us. I wouldn’t be pawticipating if Mom wasn’t pushing me. Even though I am two and a half years old, I am a very tiny, tortie girl. I keep to myself most of the time and don’t really socialize with my housemates as they like to bully me and make me cry. If I do go to the ball, my date needs to be with a sensitive and quiet, young man-cat.
Okay, so I am the baby, and I understand my big sis, Lily Olivia, will be my chaperone if I get a date. I am a dilute tortie and rather big for my age. I am full of energy and rambunctiousness. I would most likely prefer to run around the dance floor weaving through and leaping over the dancers. Mommy says I cannot go out with anyone older than three.
If Texas does not accept Lisbeth’s invitation, she will include her profile in a another post.
Also, if any senior man-cat would like to accompany Lily and keep an eye on the younger kits, she is not adverse to that. She is a petite calico with a heart of gold and feisty disposition.
We sincerely hope that at least a couple of us can attend the dance as we hate for Mauricio to have all the fun.

Misty May, you are sooo cute! let me take you on a cute valentines date.
We would take you all but due to human not having much time for event we are loving everyone that day xxx
Oh Ladycats, you all are so beautiful and special, I love your profiles! Any Mancat would be so lucky to have each of you on his arm. And I am so happy to see that from the comments here most of you now have dates to the Ball. If Nellie would not have gone with me to the dance you can bet I would have taken a few of you fine Ladycats as my dates…(there’s always next year!) Perhaps we can still have a dance at the Ball?
xoxo

Smoochies to Mauricio from Allie
How nice your mom will do that for you! Our mom appears to be, well . . . lets just say, only Julie has a mancat friend!
Dear Calista Jo, I’m as old as you are ; I never heard about the Valentine Day’s Dance. To tell you the truth, I don’t even know how to dance at all. But I’m very cute and very polite, and I would be glad if you accepted to be my friend and my offer to go to the pawty with you. Friendly head butts. Zorro
Pee-Esse : I’m sorry for the other ladies cat, but Loupi is too shy for being with a girl friend, and dance.
It is with great pleasure that Calista Jo has accepted a date with Zorro for the Queen of Hearts Dance. She is so pleased that Lily is attending as she will have the chaperone I am requiring as a condition of her attending.
Well, you know I have a VERY UNFAIR reputation as a Kitty Playa but nuffing could be further from the troof! I am a sweet* and cuddly* middle-aged (9-year-old) bachelor who thinks he has enough floof in his tail and perk in his other parts to escort the lovely sisters Giulietta and Fiona to the dance. Spitty really *is* enough ManCat for two. What do you say, girls?
*Only to kitties, of course.
Fiona and Giulietta find it an honor to be asked to the Dance by one of blog world’s most popular man-cats. They have accepted with pleasure and can’t wait to attend the Dance.
What beautiful ladies! I am sure they will find dates! If they don’t, I have one young bachelor kitty who I think would be perfect for Astrid. He doesn’t know much about this Queen of Heart’s Ball, but I’m sure he would be interested if I mentioned it to him…
Astrid received an e-mail from the darling tuxie kitty, Sampson, and has accepted his invitation to attend the Dance with him. She is quite excited even though she is very shy. It will give her the opportunity to make some new friends.
You pretty ladies should have dates in no time!
My goodness. When you start a dating service for others, let me know. I have three single ladycats and a single ladydog! ~xo~
YAY! What a great idea 🙂 You know of course, that if I didn’t already have a date for the ball – the Lady Sassy Silvervine – I would of course love to escort one of you young ladies. I am keeping my paws crossed that suitable swains will step forward like the handsome Leo already has 🙂 xoxoxox
Ladies we sure wish we could help but our two mancats have given their hearts to two special girls cats. But we wish we could help and we’re sure your date card will be full before long.
What a great post=Match Cat is awesome!…We loved reading about you guys and you all are so gorgeous and special, we know everyone will have dates before you know it!…Happy Thursday, sweeties…xoxo…Calle, Halle, Sukki, Mommy Cat, Daddy Cat
I don’t do the romance stuff – as CCO (Chief Cat Officer) of the company, I don’t have time. And I am kind of glad about that. I do have something special going on for Valentine’s Day, but it is a friendship thing!
Oh Lily Olivia it sounds like you have a LOVE match with that very romantic guy Leo the Gentle Giant! That’s lovely – what a nice couple you will make……I hope the other girls are as lucky as you’ve been finding Leo. The dance is going to be so much fun……
Hugs, Sammy
Wow Match Cat sounds perfect. We know the right kitties will be out there for you. Pawsome and we can’t wait to hear more. Have a tremendous Thursday.
Best wishes Molly
Hope you all find date,xx SPeedy
This made me smile so big!
Dear Lily Olivia,
I am a handsome, dashing and gentle gentleman who loves a good poem and a slow dance.I have recently had surgery to remove two large tumours which have been deemed benign but you can bet that I will be better than my “old” self by the time the Valentine’s Day dance arrives. I also had a full blood panel done and I have been given a clean bill of health! I am telling you this because at seventeen, I am in surprisingly good health. I am a big cat at eighteen pounds and I would compliment your petite frame beautifully. Sweet Lily Olivia , if you choose me to accompany you to the Valentines’ Day Ball, it would also please me to keep an eye on the youngsters especially as Levon will be attending and our Mama would be thrilled to know I was there. Levon, can be be a wild child!!
I would , however, want a few slow dances along with our good conversation were I to escort you to the Ball as I remain a hopeless romantic.
Sincerely,
Leopold Lion Heart of the critters in the cottage xo
aka Leo the Gentle Giant
Dear Leo, It is with great pleasure that I accept the honor of being your date for The Queen of Hearts Dance. Purrs, Lily Olivia
