Sparks
I have been feeling particularly sad lately with the fires, floods, storms, mass shootings, dying sea coral and so many other disasters. One of the best ways, I have found, to deal with sadness is through laughter. When I found this quote from Red Skelton, it seemed perfect.
I think Calista Jo needs to laugh a little, as she is is looking pretty sad in her photo. Nevertheless, I think the photo works well with the Spark.
Sparks is the creation of Annie from McGuffy’s Reader. Sparks began as a blog hop, created by our friend. Annie stated when she began Sparks, “I believe we are meant to be lights in this world. If we allow our light to shine, we can see where we are going. It is then that we can begin to truly see each other clearly. Together, we can light up the entire world.”
Awww Mondays
Calista Jo will be popping over to Comedy Plus to join the Awww Mondays blog hop. If you would like to participate, click on the badge below.
The Adventures of Periwinkle & Stinky
It’s time again for our fun-loving tabbies, Periwinkle & Stinky, to take-off on another adventure. It’s Stinky’s turn to plan their adventure. He has not confided in me his plans. So, I’ll be right here tomorrow to check out what they get up to. And, I know, Periwinkle and Stinky will be looking for you as well. Adventures are always more fun with lots of friends coming along.
Thanks for joining us today.
They do say that laughter is the best medicine, and its so true.
When we have a hard or sad day at my work, eventually we all find things to make us giggle or laugh, and it lightens our load.
C.J. has a death hold on her stuffie. She actually looks pretty comfy there.
You’re very pretty CJ. That’s a good Spark, we always did like that Red dude.
Laughter are da best medicine sometimes.
That is a great spark and such a cute photo. XO
Well, they say, laughter is the best medicine! Don’t forget to vote.
Awww and I loved Red. He was very funny. I’ll laugh right along with you.
Thank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Awww Monday and week. Scritches to the kitties, a smooch to Cooper Murphy and Sawyer and a big hug to you. ♥
Red Skelton knew how to get a laugh, that’s for sure.
Laughter is the way to lighten the heart.
We need something to laugh about these days or smile about, and that picture of Calista Jo does the job. 🙂
Calista Jo looks like she’s leaning on her stuffie to make her feel better. We agree, too much sadness around.
MOM….you forgot to send my love and whisker kisses to Sawyer!!!!
Mom here: I love it when I can get a good laugh. I will and do laugh at myself when I do something silly…and there are blogs that bring me big smiles and some out-loud laughs too.
I could go into chapters about the world situation. I don’t. It’s never fun to come across a tweet or blog with harsh and often vile language telling an opinion. You don’t know in time to not read it. I detest vile language. Katie here: I am a good Tuxie kitty. Mom would not allow me to do that.
Thinking of Red Skelton is so bittersweet for me, as funny and good as he was … in the mid 1950s his young son fought leukemia (on the national stage) at the very same time my little 9-year old brother fought the same disease. Each lost their battle within days of one another, one so publicly, the other very privately of course. So hearing his name brings up memories of long ago …
I remember Red Skelton’s show…..he had the most infectious smile. Calista Jo looks like she’s getting some comfort from her stuffy so hopefully she will be smiling again soon – it’s a sweet photo though.
Hugs, Pam
Oh, yes, laughter is the very best medicine. Merci.
I stay sad about all those same things. I’m a big fan of laughter for relief. Laughter even stimulates the lymphatic system, so it directly contributed to good health. Pretty picture of Calista Jo!
