Thoroughly Poetic Thursday
We continue to enjoy writing a poem each week and joining Angel Sammy for Thoroughly Poetic Thursday. This week’s prompt letter is “C.” We think it is serendipitous that we got that letter at Christmastime. It made coming up with a theme for our poem very easy, without having to go with the predictable cat theme.
Without further preamble, here is this week’s poem.
Christmas Cards from Cats
Christmas cards from friends make us happy,
Whether the greeting is funny or sappy.
We love that most cards have cats or kittens.
They might be sledding or wearing mittens,
Making snow angels or meeting St. Nick.
A favorite or two we could never pick.
We love our kitty buddies a bunch,
So, to us, every card means so much!
This poem is a thank you to our friends
We appreciate you all and the cards you send.

These are our snail mail Christmas cards, which we share with apologies. The card from the Cat Scouts’ Denmaster and her furry hoard is obscured by the glare of the camera flash. And Mom missed displaying the card from Cat Scout Obi.
We also are joining Brian’s Home Thankful Thursday blog hop. As we said at the end of our poem, we are thankful for and appreciate all our friends.
Mom has promised she will show our e-mail cards in the very near future. We are most thankful as well for all the friends who sent those.
