Today, March 2, would have been the 111th birthday of Theodore Seuss Geisel, aka Dr. Seuss. The children’s literature author’s birthday has become the annual date for National Read Across America Day created by the National Education Association.
Author, poet and illustrator, Geisel published more than 40 children’s books. A recently “found” book entitled, “What Pet Should I Get?” will be released on July 28. What a joyous occasion that will be.
We are joining people and cats around the world in celebrating the birthday of the author of “The Cat in the Hat.”
