Caturday Art
As we do every week, we are entering Athena Cat Goddess Wise Kitty’s Caturday Art blog hop. A chunky ginger tabby volunteered to be the subject.
To turn Cooper Murphy into this week’s art, I added the geometric art effect from LunaPic. Then I used PicMonkey to overlay that with the sunflower photo I used to make last Caturday’s art. If you look closely, you can see the petals. The small dots on and below Cooper’s face are the sunflower’s center. The green-edged yellow border is from Picasa, and the geometric corners from piZap.
If you missed last Caturday’s sunflower art, you can see it at Summer Sunflower Art.
On the right is the original photo, taken on the catio when Cooper Murphy was chilling atop a tarp.

Sunday Selfies
We need you! Tomorrow marks the third anniversary of our Sunday Selfies blog hop. Let’s make it the biggest and best hop yet. Invite all your blogging friends to join in the fun! Our largest hop had 67 selfies. Let’s try to break that record.
Sadly, we lost another dear friend this week. Critters in the Cottage‘s tiny dancer, Esme, received her wings on Wednesday. This is less than three weeks since their beautiful Mitalee HoneyBee departed for the Rainbow Bridge. The girls’ mum, Sophie (aka LP), as you might expect, is devastated as are we. She has been unable to post about this. So tomorrow we will remember and honor this most special kitty. Even if you don’t do selfies or hop, please come tomorrow and leave your condolences.
We have a volunteer sunflower growing by our fence:)
And another in a pot on the patio…the birds wanted it there we think!
Cooper Murphy is a furry purrty bloom today!
Cooper Murphy, we think you are very handsome in spite of what your human might do to your picture. We have to deal with our human messing with our photos, too. What is it with these humans?
Stereo purrs………..Hemingway and Steinbeck
Oh, and Mom said she really likes the way your photo got changes. Of course she’s a human……..
Beautiful and creative!
