Sparks
It seems as if this is going to be a Sawyer heavy week when it comes to The Cat on My Head.
He was here yesterday with his selfie, and he is back today for our Spark and the Awww Mondays blog hop. His alter ego will return tomorrow for The Adventures of Stinky and Periwinkle. Finally, we will celebrate his birthday on Wednesday.
I chose the Spark for today for myself; though, I am certain many of you are having some difficulty coping with the current situation in the U.S. and the rest of the world. But if anyone represents resilience it is Sawyer. To paraphrase the old Timex commercials: “He takes a lickin’ and keeps on tickin’.”
I know our friend, Pam (Two Spoiled Cats), believes in and always keeps a positive attitude, and I admire her for that. I think I always demonstrate a positive attitude on the outside, even when I feel defeated on the inside. There is an aphorism, “Fake it ‘til you make it,” and I intend to do just that.
If you are unfamiliar with Jean Chatzky, she is an American journalist, personal finance columnist, financial editor of NBC’s TODAY show, AARP’s personal finance ambassador and the founder and CEO of the multimedia company HerMoney.
Sparks began as a blog hop, created by our friend, Annie (McGuffy’s Reader). Annie is taking a “break” from blogging, so there is no hop. Many of us still continue to post a Spark on Monday, as we believe in Annie’s vision: “I believe we are meant to be lights in this world. If we allow our light to shine, we can see where we are going. It is then that we can begin to truly see each other clearly. Together, we can light up the entire world!

Sawyer also is participating in the Awww Mondays blog hop at Comedy Plus. To join him there, click on the badge below.
As I mentioned above, Stinky and Periwinkle will be here tomorrow. They will be sharing part two of their adventure at the Mill Mountain Zoo. They have some pretty adorable animals to share, and I know they would be delighted if you join them.
And then, don’t forget to return on Wednesday for Sawyer’s birthday.
Sawyer is wonderful for this spark as resilience is so important to get through life and that fellow has it in spades. See you tomorrow!
Sawyer is a fighter, that’s one of the things we love about him.
We’re sorry to hear you’re having problems leaving comments on our blog. One other person mentioned this as well. We’re not sure why this happens, but we think it might have something to do with it if you use Safari as your browser. The other person uses a Mac as well. We don’t know how to fix this since the mom is technically challenged, but she may try calling the hosting company to see if they have any suggestions.
I never tire of sweet Sawyer. Great spark! XO
Sawyer such a sweet photo of you and a wonderful spark as well. It’s going to be a special birthday celebration this Wednesday. Thanks for the share. Have a fantastic rest of your week.
Sometimes, we don’t realize that we’ve been adaptable; it takes a moment to think about how a situation was handled, and how you handled it. And time plays a roll…what we thought about something in the past shifts as time goes on. Sometimes, time is the only way to make adaptations.
Awww-worth Sawyer, we never get enough of you sweetie. I just love that spark and thanks for telling us a little about the author of it.
Excellent SPARK! It applies to all of us whether we’re going through challenges now or they await us at a later date. To obtain resilience takes a bit of time but we can grab it. Sawyer epitomizes resilience.

I always love seeing Sawyer. He’s a huge Awww any day of the week.
Love your Spark. It’s perfect.
I’ll be here tomorrow for the next adventure.
Thank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Awww Monday and week. Scritches to all your siblings and a hug to the mom. ♥
We can never see too much Sawyer!! He is truly the purrfect example of resilience.
The Florida Furkids with smoochies and love to Mau from Allie and paw pats and headbonks to Sawyer from Noelle
That’s an excellent Spark and sweet Sawyer sure is the purrfect spokescat for resilience.
Sawyer is the picture of resilience – he carries on his happy way even though he has his challenges. That’s just what we’re all trying to do these days I think. Carry on. We have to have faith that we will see the “backside” of this mess we’re in and we WILL if we just do what’s right. It’s discouraging sometimes to see the world as it is now….no matter how positive we may be. <3 <3
Love, Pam
