EASTER THANKFULS, ART & A POEM

Thankful Thursday

Kitties Blue and I look forward to sharing our thankfuls with you each week.

Sawyer is thankful for the Easter card he received from his thoughtful and sweet girlfriend Noelle (Friends Furever).

I am thankful for the Easter greetings I received from my friends, through e-mail, texts and e-cards.

For my birthday I purchased a piece of art for myself. I am thankful I finally was able to pick it up when the exhibition it was in was taken down. This is called “Autumn Stroll.” It was created by artist, Catherine Houghton. The medium is alcohol ink. This is just the art itself. It is matted in white and framed in black.

Kitties Blue and I are so grateful for everyone who visits, comments and supports us. Your friendships mean the world to us.

We will be participating in the Thankful Thursday blog hop hosted by Angel Brian. You can do the same by clicking on the Thankful badge.

Thoroughly Poetic Thursday

Our friends at Two Spoiled Cats, Teddy and Angel Sammy, challenge us to write a poem on Thursdays using a photo they provide as inspiration. Today’s photo is yet another silly one. It is below along with my poem.

A woman sitting on a wall wearing an egg with a hole for her heads and holes for her legs.

A Regrettable Job

My agent told me to take this job—
said it would be good for my career.
Wish he’d made the circumstances
of this ridiculous part clear!

Playing a broken egg is insane
and the pay is outrageously poor.
I know this is a huge mistake.
The critics will say, “What a bore!”

Each week Angel Sammy transmits his poem from the Rainbow Bridge to Teddy for publication. Sammy always writes a terrific poem, so you don’t want to miss reading it. Please stop over to Two Spoiled Cats, by clicking on the poetry badge, to check out Sammy’s poem and get the photo for next week’s challenge.
