yeowzer! now that’s called furminating 101! Course, no way would I allow Mom or Dad to pick me up in such a position…nope…blood would flow

Coralee June 20, 2013 at 4:06 pm

Impressive! We have to do stealth furminating at our house – the minute they guess what we’re up to, all the kitties and puppy disappear! We wait till they’re asleep, and hope they dream we’re just patting them!

You sure do behave well when you have your hair done! We act like we’re going to die! Purrs, Ateret, Livia and Abbi.

our last kitty loved to be brushed. she had a special carpet with a big U shaped brush attached to a base on one end she could groom herself & she would lay on the other side waiting for a proper brush job. even tho she had short hair, she shed lots of them every day! she even let dad vacuum her! she was a good kitty, much like Gulietta seems to be.

The cat is cute . . . as long as it doesn’t get on my head.

I bet you could make another kitty out of the excess fur!! Love the expression 🙂

Panky June 19, 2013 at 3:50 pm

MeWow! You don’t look like you’re enjoying that.
DaMa received a Furminator last year but haven’t tried it on me yet. I think she too skeered to. MOL
I will stay still long enough for her to brush me with the rubber curry brush she used to use on the Dalmatians- only because it feels like I’m getting a massage. Come to think of it, she hasn’t done that in a few days. Hoo boy, she’s such a slacker. I better remind her I would enjoy a massage.
Happy Whisker Wednesday!

We’d love to see the “after” and how much fur came out.

Ryn Shell June 19, 2013 at 3:03 pm

That is one big cat

posh June 19, 2013 at 1:35 pm

I once had a cat with a lot of fur like that. I sneezed a whole lot 🙂

Timmy Tomcat June 19, 2013 at 9:45 am

Rumpy Bump: “Gee that looks scary. I mean yeah I have the longish fur that get all over and gives me little gray fur tubes to place around here but, I think we will pass on that thing.”
Dad: “Hmmmmmm”
Rumpy Bump: “Uh, Dad! Dad! We ARE going to pass on a furminator, right? RIGHT? DAD!”
Dad: “Well….Rumpy, I have heard that…”
Rumpy bump: “You better get those treats out! Humph!”

Sam and Pam June 19, 2013 at 7:08 am

Aww! heheh! I had a cat the image of Giulietta he was a lovely cat called Jaime lovely memories 🙂

Whisppy June 19, 2013 at 2:37 am

We don’t mind being FURminated though we aren’t exactly fans of it. What does your Mom do with all the fur? I think you can actually donate your furs to some organization who make those floating things to soak up oil spills in the sea.

Ann Paws June 18, 2013 at 11:35 pm

Hehe what a good little kitty! I need to furminate Honey D. sometime soon I think…

Spitty the Kitty June 18, 2013 at 11:33 pm

I LOVES being Furminated, although I would NOT love (nor allow) myself to be stood up like that. Somebody would be making an unscheduled trip to the blood bank. Just sayin’.

Kitties Blue June 18, 2013 at 11:40 pm

Giulietta has been totally her daddy’s girl from the moment they met. She would never do anything to hurt him. The worst that ever happens is that she manages to wiggle out of his grasp.

Oui Oui June 18, 2013 at 11:00 pm

AAUUGGHHHH! We hate the Furminator! Maybe its the way our mom does it? But we are convinced it cuts the hair out, not just remove loose hair cause we’ve read some beans have made their kitties bald with it. Its the one thing that is sure to bring out attitudes and pointy part in all of us.

Celebrate Woman June 18, 2013 at 10:50 pm

Love, love your posts!
My Cornish Rexes do not have to be brushed, but they love the feeling of the brushing comb!

Karren Haller June 18, 2013 at 10:49 pm

Digger loves a brush and comb, hes always so smooth after! Hes short haired, no furminator here.

Oooh, Giulietta, we’re not sure if you look too happy about that. But we bet you’ll feel great afterwards! 🙂

Cathy Keisha June 18, 2013 at 10:15 pm

I love to be FURminated but Pop would NEVER hold me like that to do my underside. He’d be in the ER.

Katnip Lounge June 18, 2013 at 10:09 pm

Daddy tried that with Maui and got shredded. This year he’s getting shaved.

Maui, not Daddy!

Texas, a cat in New York June 18, 2013 at 10:06 pm

It seems like it Furminator time everywhere right now 😉

Beverly June 18, 2013 at 9:49 pm

Sophie doesn’t enjoy the brush either! 🙂

The Island Cats June 18, 2013 at 9:14 pm

Giulietta does not look very happy there.

TaMara June 18, 2013 at 8:58 pm

That doesn’t look like it’s enjoyable. 🙂

Thanks for linking up over at Tales of a Pee Dee Mama

Sometimes, Cats Herd You June 18, 2013 at 8:53 pm

We don’t always enjoy the furminator, either, but our head peep loves how it takes SO much extra fur off of us. We live in the land of the Newton-fur tumbleweeds, so anything that minimizes it is something we have to at least tolerate.

Brian June 18, 2013 at 8:43 pm

Hmmmmmm, maybe it will take time to get used to that!

McGuffy Ann Morris June 18, 2013 at 8:39 pm

Maggie hates being brushed, too. I really have to wrestle her, which is like a fuzzy crocodile!

Sparkle June 18, 2013 at 8:30 pm

Giulietta doesn’t look thrilled – hey, I’ll step up for it! I LOVE being Furminated!

janetblue June 18, 2013 at 8:33 pm

This is new for her. She was just getting used to being brushed. She doesn’t like having her tummy or her butt done.

Andrea and the Celestial Kitties June 18, 2013 at 8:27 pm

Hmm, why do I think you’re not exactly enjoying that…
