Thankful Thursday
It is Thursday, and so that means it is time to share some thankfuls.
The main thankful for this week is that Lisbeth and Kizmet’s vet visit on Monday went well, except for the large barking dog in the waiting room. In all honesty, I believe I was more upset about it than the girls, as they were safe in their PTUs.
As Lisbeth had her annual exam a couple of months ago, she merely needed her claws clipped and her rabies vaccine, so she did not get poked and prodded. Kizmet did get a complete examine, her vaccines and nails clipped. Her weight has not changed in the past year at 12 pounds, but that is slightly overweight. She does, however, have excellent teeth and gums and no additional problems.
I’m sorry Dr. McBane had her eyes closed when I snapped her photo with Kizmet.
I also am grateful that the girls were so well behaved. Lisbeth complained a bit on the way there. Kizmet, however, didn’t make a peep on the way, while there or on the way home.
Additionally, I am thankful for the opportunity to share lunch with my friend, Etna, and Gibbs and Tali’s brofurs Oscar and Oliver’s mom Pam. Pam came to visit with Kitties Blue after lunch.

Thoroughly Poetic Thursday
With apologies to the Two Spoiled Cats (Teddy and Angel Sammy), I just didn’t feel like writing a poem this week. I started one, but I only completed two lines.
So that’s it for today. We will be back tomorrow for Feline Friday along with Fill-Ins.
It’s always a good day when 1. our cats/dogs don’t freak out at the vet and 2. we can have lunch with a friend.
Good news at the vet is always welcome.

Chaplin: “We’re glad that the vet visit went well! And I think you look fine the way you are, Kizmet! Dada did our weekly weigh-ins today and Oona and I are both holding steady, but Charlee has been gaining weight the last several weeks so he is going to cut her food back a little. Shhh, don’t tell her.”
Charlee: “Don’t tell me what?”
Chaplin: “Nothing.”
A clean vet visit is lovely!
When Da Boyz have their appointment next week, those clipped nails will be heavenly!

It’s great that Kizmet and Lisbeth had a good vet visit. Bummer about the barking woofie though. Noelle sends forever love to Angel Sawyer.

I always loved it when Vet visits went quietly and with nothing wrong. That’s something you really learn to appreciate; and as for barking dogs, no matter their size, it would seem their owners would so something to calm them as they upset any cats and sometimes even another dog. Here when I had to go to the Vet, owners without fail told the receptionist they would be outside the front door until the dog calmed. Almost always. I appreciated that so much!
