Thoroughly Poetic Thursday
Another Thursday has rolled around, and I am trying my hand at poetry, as I usually do. Angel Sammy and Teddy (Two Spoiled Cats) selected an hysterical inspiration photo for today.

The Disgruntled Salesman
Hey, have I got a deal for you—
one owner, low mileage, no dings, no dents.
Today only, no money down. I’ll waive
the $99 if your trade-in runs. That’s
all I need. This baby’s a steal—
a 20-year-old Camry only $5000.
Best car on the lot. Naw,
no credit check, you look honest.
We’ll set up a payment plan. What?
Interest rate. Yeah, very reasonable.
Come inside. I’ll start the paper work.
You’ll have this gem paid off in four years.
Only $207.47 per month. A bargain!
Don’t you agree? What? How much
for the total length of the loan?
Hmmm—let’s see. How about $200
a month, and we’ll call it done. That’s
almost $360 in additional savings.
Kid, you’re really hurting me here.
I’m losing money on this deal. I can do
$190 a month, but that’s as low as
I can go. That’ll save you another $480.
Wait, wait, don’t leave. I know we
can work something out. Damn kid!

Each week Angel Sammy transmits his poem from the Rainbow Bridge to Teddy for publication. Sammy is one of our favorite poets, which is why we always suggest you head over to Two Spoiled Cats to read his weekly contribution. We bet it will be another winner. You can get there by clicking on the poetry badge. While visiting, check out the inspiration photo for next week and join us then in writing a poem.
Thankful Thursday
Besides sharing poetry on Thursday, Kitties Blue and I always try to share the things from the past week for which we are thankful. Sawyer and Stinky are up first this week.
The boys are thankful for the birthday party Noelle and Periwinkle held for them at Friends Furever. And they both are grateful for all the birthday wishes our followers left for them both on Friends Furever and here. Sawyer will write about his gifts from Noelle in a future post.
I am thankful for two opportunities this week to work out in the gardens. I’ve severely neglected them in the heat and humidity we are having. There is much more to be done, but I am happy to have made some significant headway.
Kitties Blue and I are always thankful to each of you who visit the blog and comment and for those of you who participate in our Sunday Selfies hop. And, of course, thanks for stopping in today.
We’ll be joining the Thankful Thursday blog hop hosted by Brian’s Home Forever. To do the same, click on the badge below.

Lulu: “Wait! How much for the handsome fluffy dog?”
Yep, I know about the “it’s too hot to work outside” thing. Whew. And that poem really cut to the chase on those shysters! Good job!
Fabulous poem – crazy photo gave us all a chance to be crazy with our poems!! LOL I’ve known a couple of sales people just like this guy so they DO exist. A wonderful birthday party too for Sawyer and Stinky to enjoy……………..big hugs, Pam and Teddy too
Your poem is just right! I’d count my fingers after shaking hands with this guy.
I’m glad you got time in the garden.
That was a really cool poem, I enjoyed it! Terrific thankfuls too. Thanks for joining Angel Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
Great poem and wonderful thankfuls. XO
MOL MOL we have all (unfortunately) encounter Mr. RED Suspender’s in our years.
This one is King of them too.
I thoroughly enjoyed the joint birthday party
Your caterer knew exactly what to serve.
Cecilia
We loved your poem! We’re happy Sawyer and Stinky enjoyed their party.
The Florida Furkids with love and whisker kisses to Sawyer from Noelle
You have obviously been to a used car dealer. 🙂
That is a good poem. I looked to see what the payments would come to over four years and the car was almost doubled in price! I am glad Sawyer and Stinky had a good birthday party.
Funny pics d poetry this week. We’re glad the kitties had fun birthday celebrations!
