I have a short post today. With my apologies to Teddy and Angel Sammy (Two Spoiled Cats), I do not have a poem for Thoroughly Poetic Thursday.
Thankful Thursday
I have a small thankfuls this week and one major one.
First off, I am thankful that we have had a couple of days with daytime temps in the mid-30s. Even though we have had no sun, we have had some melting of the snow and ice. (Of course, as I type this, it is lightly snowing AGAIN!) We have one more day of slightly warmer weather and then a bitter cold weekend. After that, the weather should be getting back to some seasonal temps for us.
The other thankful is regarding Angel Sawyer. A couple of week’s ago, I mentioned that I had finally ordered an urn for our angel. I spent several weeks searching on line for just the right one … dragging it out, as I didn’t want to acknowledge he was gone.
I did finally order something, and it arrived on Monday. It is purrfect! It is hand painted, and Sawyer’s name is painted on the top. (The urn was created by DearMileGifts, which I found on Etsy.)

I am grateful our sweet angel now has his permanent resting place. In addition to that, I am thankful to Noelle’s mom, Sharon, for helping with the purchase. As she told me, “It was a family affair.” Sharon loved our sweet boy as much as Tom Dad and I. For those who do not know, if Sawyer had outlived Dad Tom and me, he would have gone to Florida to live with Noelle, Sharon and Reesie (Friends Furever). Knowing that always gave me such comfort!
Kitties Blue and I will be participating in the Thankful Thursday blog hop hosted by Angel Brian. Should you wish to do the same, click on the Thankful badge.
Thank you for visiting us today.

Oh Janet (and Sharon) this had me in tears. The urn is exquisite. Absolutely prefect for a cat we did not want to leave us so soon. Sawyer had a wonderful life with you, and all of us are grateful for the reports of his life.
It’s lovely Janet and Tom and Sharon.
PS I sent an ecard but not sure if it was the right address.
What a beautiful memorial for Sawyer. Purrayers.
What a beautiful urn for your purrecious angel Sawyer💗Soft Pawkisses for you, dad Tom and all of you, sweet KittiesBlue🐾😽💞
That’s a beautiful urn for Sawyer! Sending love and purrs. <3
What a beautiful urn! I don’t think I have ever seen an urn like that!
Glad you had some nicer temps…not here, yet. I worked today and on the way home I had to deal with freezing rain; thankfully I got hime without incident.
It’s absolutely beautiful!
That is beautiful. XO
Beautiful. I love Sawyer too.
Big healing hugs.
Scritches to all the kitties, a smooch to Cooper Murphy and a big hug to you and Sharon. ♥
That is a really beautiful urn and makes for a precious thankful. Thanks for joining Angel Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
Chaplin: “That is a beautiful urn for Angel Sawyer!”
Charlee: “Our angels are all in little wooden boxes in the china cabinet. We like to know they’re all here with us, especially our beloved brother Dennis.”
so cute!!
That is the most wonderful urn!
I saw that urn with an intake of breath that I held. It is absolutely perfect. I am writing down the source so, hopefully many years from now when I need another, I can get it there.
Even though we’ve already seen a photo of the urn, this made us leaky eyed. We were happy to be part of your sweet boy’s final resting place. Noelle sends forever love to Angel Sawyer.
I love it. I am so glad you found it and that you have it now. What a wonderful urn for a precious and loved family member. I think this is THE most beautiful I have seen. XXXXXXX
Awww, that’s a sweet remembrance of Sawyer.
Sawyer’s permanent and heavenly home is beautiful. I love Etsy as it allows us to have something unique and special when we have the need for it…….No worries about poetry – our sweet Angel Sawyer having truly “come home” is way more important than anything else.
Love, Pam
