Thoroughly Poetic Thursday
Time for some weekly poetry thanks to Teddy and Angel Sammy (Two Spoiled Cats). They provide an inspiration photo and participants use it to write a poem. Here’s this week’s photo followed by my poem.

You’ve Probably Heard of Mighty Mouse
He’s got nothing on Superior Squirrel.
Look at those rippling muscles.
Hear that thunderous roar.
Don’t mess with this squirrel,
or he’ll beat down your door,
steal all your pet food and nuts,
then demand bushels more.
He’s no mild-mannered rodent
with an exquisitely bushy tail.
He’s the meanest varmint this side of hell.
Cross him and you’ll pay the price.

Thankful Thursday
Thursday is also the day for thankfuls.
Dad Tom and I are particularly thankful to a dear friend and fellow blogger, who requested to remain anonymous, for gifting us two cans of kitten replacement milk and nail clippers for the tiny terrorists.
We also are grateful to my friend Etna who delivered more food for the TNRed kitties that remain in the neighborhood that Dad Tom feeds every day. She also spent over an hour entertaining the kittens with me on Tuesday.
I am thankful to be walking better after my fall on October 30th. Rehab is coming along slower than I would like, but I know I’ll eventually be in better shape.
Periwinkle and Stinky are thankful to all those who joined them and Teddy (Two Spoiled Cats) on their Veterans’ Day adventure.
Kitties Blue, the kittens and I appreciate everyone who visits, comments and participates in our Sunday Selfies blog hop.
We’ll be participating in Angel Brian’s Thankful Thursday blog hop. If you would like to do the same, click on the Thankful badge.
Thanks for joining us here today.

It’s not easy taking care of the littles, and it gets pricey, and add your own cats and the feral clowder, it’s a lot. I’m glad someone is able to step in and help.
Great poem and wonderful thankful list. xO
That was a terrific poem and hooray for so many good thankfuls! Thanks for joining Angel Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
WHOOPS! Off to see what Periwinkle and Stinky did!
Gotta believe the kittens need a lot of monitoring.
We also know that your knee rehab will seem like it takes too long, but don’t force it.
Ohh, give Superior Squirrel anything he wants! XOX Xena
It takes a village, and it looks like you do have a small village helping your good deed taking care of those babies. It must be a hoot to play with them! Have a great day and weekend.
Charlee: “Looks like the Avengers have a new recruit!”
It’s great that you are getting help with the kittens and that the cats are being cared for. We’re also glad your knee is getting better! The poem was great. We’re glad none of our squirrels look like that

Love that poem – it’s perfect for the photo!! That guy could do some damage in the yard with those muscles…..HAHA So happy to hear the rehab is coming along – also that someone has been helping take care of those precious little orphans – we are sure it’s a WHOLE LOT OF WORK – but they have a chance at a happy life thanks to you. Thank you again for including Teddy in the adventure Periwinkle and Stinky had honoring veterans – that was sweet of you.
Love, Pam
Ahaha, funny poetry about the squirrel picture! Glad you have some help with the ferals and the kitten care! The little ones can be a real chore at times! Glad you’re making at least some progress with knee recovery, just sorry it can’t be faster.
How wonderful that peeps are helping with kitten care, and ferals, too.
I am glad your knee rehab is beginning to progress again…please don’t fall anymore!!
