Sparks
Though our friend and originator of the Sparks blog hop, Annie (McGuffy’s Reader), remains on a “break” from blogging, we continue to post a Spark each Monday. This was Annie’s vision when beginning the hop: “I believe we are meant to be lights in this world. If we allow our light to shine, we can see where we are going. It is then that we can begin to truly see each other clearly. Together, we can light up the entire world!”
Astrid is presenting our Spark for today.
It may be a bit difficult for you to read the quote, so here it is: “Promise me you’ll always remember: You’re braver than you believe, and stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think.” A.A. Milne
Astrid is our “fraidy” cat, but that’s no surprise—Misty May absolutely loves to terrorize her. I’d like to convince Astrid that she does have the ability to be brave, strong and smart. Unfortunately, she continues to react to Misty May’s bullying. Even if she’s not able to do so, here’s hoping all of you take Milne’s quote to heart.
I like to give a bit of information about the author of the quote, but in this case I don’t believe that is necessary. As I am certain you all know that A.A. Milne is the creator of Winnie the Pooh, my favorite—Tigger, and all the other characters we love.
Wishing everyone a Monday filled with positivity!
We all need to remember our power from time to time.
That description of Astrid would well describe Dalton…and he lets Pipo rule over him…well, as a kitty Pipo for sure feels he needs to be in charge. Even MJF gave him the wide berth of respect, MOL!
But, in the past, Minko was the bully of Pipo; go figure!
Winnie the Pooh is such a lovable bear…and along with him all his furends.
THAT is one of Mom’s favorite quotes. And Astrid…I terrorize Kozmo…I guess I should be kinder.

Astrid is like Joanie and everyone picks on her because they know she will run away. Nice spark and photo. XO
That quote is pawsome. Our mom recites it each time she’s having doubts.
What a fabulous Spark! And we hope Astrid can take this to heart…and overcome her fear.
This is true Astrid. You can overcome whatever you set your mind to overcome. We all can.
I linked you to Awww Mondays.
Have a purrfect day, Astrid. My best to the rest of the kitties and your peeps. ♥
Astrid, we hope you’ll believe that quote one day so you can find your inner Tortitude and not let Misty May bother you. We think that photo is adorable!
This is one of my absolute all-time favorite quotes. We can all learn so much from Winnie the Pooh and his friends, thanks to A.A. Milne. And we believe you can be brave, Astrid! We see the courage in your eyes!
(Around here, Eddy is the ultimate scaredy-cat. She hides from any and every human who is not me, she hides from the doorbell, she hides from the sound of the front door opening, she hides from Toby when he chases her, she hides from the new kittens, she hides from the vacuum, and all that jazz. Yet, at the same time, she is the one and only cat in the house who terrorizes Thimble. Luckily, though, Thimble is one of those cats who never goes and hides, and nothing gets her down for long. When Eddy engages, Thimble will cry, hiss, and growl, but, luckily, right afterwards she’ll walk it off, and sometimes even go back for more.)
I love that quote! And what an adorable picture!
Great Spark quote. Mom should print that one out.

That’s a great one, Astrid! We all need to hear those words from time to time 🙂 Pawkisses for a wonderful week ahead 🙂 <3

Hugs, Teddy
I really wish Astrid believed this quote too.
