Sparks
A very serious Sawyer is here today with a Spark about pets. I thought it appropriate as the remainder of the post is about Thursday’s annual round-up.

Sparks is the creation of Annie from McGuffy’s Reader. It began as a blog hop, created by our friend. Annie stated when she began Sparks, “I believe we are meant to be lights in this world. If we allow our light to shine, we can see where we are going. It is then that we can begin to truly see each other clearly. Together, we can light up the entire world.”
Awww Mondays: Annual Round-Up
For the last several days I have mentioned our annual round-up several times and even included a photo of Sawyer on Feline Friday in the post, “Feline Friday with Sawyer & Fill-Ins.” All but the youngsters, who are on a different time-line, were weighed, had their wellness exams, necessary vaccinations and claws clipped. Though, nobody got a gold star for behavior; some behaved better than others, as evidenced by the following photos.

Clockwise from top left: Calista Jo, Kizmet, Sawyer, Cooper Murphy, Astrid & Lisbeth.
Astrid screamed as if being tortured from the moment she was tricked into being sequestered in the kitchen. Dad Tom and I had to push Lisbeth out from under the upstairs, king bed with a mop. Kizmet pitched a total fit, writhing and squirming, but Cooper Murphy was the most impossible of all. He was 19 pounds and 11 ounces of thrashing cat flesh and fur. Dr. Neel and LVT Deanna had to wrestle him to the floor and take care of everything there. Cooper did receive some good news: He lost one entire ounce of weight. Overall, everyone got a clean bill of health, and that is what all pet parents want.
The gang will be participating in the Awww Mondays blog hop hosted by Sandee at Comedy Plus. To join them, click on the Awww badge.
The Adventures of Periwinkle & Stinky

That’s right, tomorrow is the special day when Periwinkle and Stinky set out on a new adventure. Stinky has a plan in place and is all ready for Periwinkle’s arrival. Your favorite tabby adventurers will be looking for you tomorrow. So, please don’t forget to check in here to find out what they get up to and into!
Thanks for joining us today.

Pets are good for us. A fascinating book by Temple Grandin is called, Animals Make Us Human. It’s worth the read.
I’m glad they are all healthy, and obviously fit to fight!
I so wish I could have a vet come to the home. I used to have one, but they switched to doing only euthanasia at home. XO
That was a lot of work!
Seeing the Spark, it reminds me of Annie. I wish she were still blogging. It’s wonderful that you’re keeping the Spark tradition going.
Wow, that vet and vet tech sure earned their wages at your house! Riley was the only one here that acted like that, and then we found a vet place that he loves to go to. Whew
Most kitties don’t care for the vet one bit. It’s good they come to your home. It’s hard getting then into the carrier and to the vets office. They hate it and then some.
Great shots of your vet day. It wore me out just seeing the photographs.
Thank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Awww Monday and week. Scritches to the kitties, a smooch to Cooper Murphy and Sawyer and a big hug to mom. ♥
Be still my heart! I LOVE seeing Sawyer’s handsome face!! Periwinkle can’t wait to see Stinky tomorrow.
Love and whisker kisses,
Noelle
It’s good to read that all were well, despite their obvious unhappiness with the process.
Phew, that is an adventure right in your own home!! Nice to have good reports, though.
Wow 😮 glad all ended well
Quite an adventure for all when the vet visited, but great for everyone to check out as healthy! Good spark with a nice picture of Sawyer!
