I have a simple but powerful spark today. And I believe it is one that cannot be disputed. I had to find a photo that could carry it and think I did pretty well.
Only a truly hard-hearted person cannot smile at a cute kitten, especially one with it’s tongue out!
The author of today’s Spark, Douglas Horton (1891-1968), was an American Protestant clergyman and academic leader. He was recognized for his work in ecumenical relations among major Protestant bodies of his day.
Sparks began as a blog hop, created by our friend, Annie (McGuffy’s Reader). Annie is taking a “break” from blogging, so there is no hop. Many of us still continue to post a Spark on Monday, as we believe in Annie’s vision: “I believe we are meant to be lights in this world. If we allow our light to shine, we can see where we are going. It is then that we can begin to truly see each other clearly. Together, we can light up the entire world!”
Raleigh will be participating in the Awww Mondays blog hop hosted by Comedy Plus. You can do the same by clicking on the Awww badge.
Comment-a-thon Donation Recipient
The Lone Star Cats have selected the recipient for our comment-a-thon donation of $40. Travis and Angelique have chosen Feral Friends Community Cat Alliance. It is in Richardson, Texas, and Travis and Angelique were adopted from there. Feral Friends’ web-site states, “The group was founded to provide assistance to forgotten cats that are rarely seen or thought of and yet need our help just as much as any creature in need.” I am delighted to have the opportunity to support this group.
The Adventures of Periwinkle & Stinky
Your two favorite, cartoon cats will be right here tomorrow sharing their next adventure. Both of them agree that Tuesday is their favorite day of the week, as they get to share that adventure with each other and all of you. Please join Periwinkle and Stinky. They really have lots of fun and often learn new things as well
